Dies ergibt sich daraus, daß, wenn eine Maschinenkombination der gerade beschriebenen Art verwendet wird, die Genauigkeit der Querfaltung von der Genauigkeit abhängt, mit welcher. das Wäschestück auf die Längsfaltmaschine gelegt wird. Hier besteht die Gefahr, daß bei längerem Betrieb das Auflegen nicht mit der gewünschten Genauigkeit erfolgt. Dann wird das Faltschwert 19 zu demjenigen Zeitpunkt betätigt, der in Abhängigkeit von der zuvor festgestellten Abmessung des Wäschestückes in einer Richtung quer zur Förderrichtung des Einlaufförderers 1 bestimmt wurde. Claims (12)

1. 6. Machine according to one of Claims 1 to 5, characterised in that the belts (5, 5a) of the inlet conveyor (1) have in the region below the endless belt conveyor (7) a unitary conveyor belt (5a).

Machine according to one of Claims 2'to 6, characterised in that the endless belt conveyor (7) is arranged in the region of a side edge of the inlet conveyor (1) and that in the region below the endless belt conveyor, in which no inlet conveyor belts are present, a table surface (5b) with a smooth surface is provided.
