Nach jedem Programmierschritt wird durch Betätigung einer Bestätigunstaste die Übernahme der mittels der Zehnertastatur eingegebenen Daten in den gewünschten Speicherbereich ausgelöst. Dieses Programmierverfahren weist die folgenden Nachteile auf:
- es können leicht Fehlprogrammierungen auftreten, da sämtliche Programmiervorgänge mittels einer einzigen Vorwahltaste aufgerufen werden;
- es können leicht bereits bestehende Programmierdaten in unerwüchster Weise überschrieben werden;
- zur Durchführung des bekannten Verfahrens wird eine eigene Bestätigungstaste benötigt;
- ein direkter Zugriff zu den einzelnen Speicherbereichen ist nicht möglich;
- Umprogrammierungen bestimmter Speicherbereiche sind umständlich.

Die Vorteile der Erfindung liegen insbesondere darin, daß die Programmierung des Timers eines Videorecorders stark vereinfacht wird, so daß auch ein technischer Laie den Programmiervorgang schnell und richtig ausführen kann. Dies ist u. a. darauf zurückzuführen, daß jedem Programmiervorgang bzw. jedem Speicherbereich eine eigene Vorwahltaste zugeordnet ist. Diese Vorwahltaste ist neben der Zifferntastatur die einzige Taste, die der Benutzer betätigen muß, um einen Programmiervorgang vollständig durchzuführen. Fehlprogrammierungen oder unerwünschtes Überschreiben bereits bestehender, anderen Timereinheiten zugeordneter Programmierdaten sind bei dem beanspruchten Verfahren unwahrscheinlich. Andererseits iest es wegen der direkten Zugriffsmöglichkeit zu jedem der Speicherbereiche schnell und einfach möglich, einzelne Programmiervorgänge zu löschen oder abzuändern. - Eingabe eines Satzes von Programmierdaten mittels einer Zifferntastatur,
- Bestätigung des eingegebenen Satzes von Programmierdaten, und
- Fortschaltung zum nächsten Programmierschritt,
dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß jedem Speicherbereich eine eigene Vorwahltaste zugeordnet ist, mittels der sowohl die Aktivierung des gewünschten Speicherbereiches als auch die Betätigung der mittels der Zifferntastatur eingegebenen Daten als auch die Fortschaltung zum nächsten Programmierschritt durchgeführt wird.
