Aufgrund der erfindungsgemäßen Ausgestaltung wird in vorteilhafter Weise eine Vorrichtung zur Herstellung von Luftpolster-Versandtaschen geschaffen, bei der zwei oder mehrere gepolsterte Versandtaschen in einem Arbeitstakt hergestellt werden können. Dabei tragen die relativ festen Randzonen an jeder Versandtasche, die als seitlicher Schutz gegen Stöße dienen, zur Verringerung des Ausschusses bei der Herstellung bei. Außerdem hat die Versiegelung der Luftpolsterfolie mit der Papierbahn einen wesentlichen Anteil an der Verringerung des Ausschusses und dient damit zur Verbesserung der Betriebssicherheit der beanspruchten Vorrichtung. Die vorgesehene großflächige Versiegelung ermöglicht auch in günstiger Weise eine Verringerung von Spannungen zwischen den Papierbahnen und den Luftpolsterfolienbahnen und trägt damit ebenfalls wesentlich zur Betriebssicherheit der Vorrichtung und der Verringerung des Ausschusses bei. If the contact surface is dirty, only the PTFE web wound on one longitudinal roller needs to be wound further onto the opposite longitudinal roller in order to make a new, flawless effective area available for the longitudinal sealing elements. Since there is no risk of contamination from escaping molten foil in the area of the longitudinal sealing element 116 arranged in the center, no such protective device is provided on this longitudinal sealing strip.

Damit im Taschenöffnungsbereich kein Verkleben der in Fig. 11 dargestellten Längsnähte 101 a und 101 b bzw. 102a und 102b stattfindet, ist an dem Rahmen 105 eine ein Versiegeln verhindernde Einrichtung an beiden Seiten der Papierbahnen vorgesehen. Wie in Fig. 8 angedeutet, besteht diese Einrichtung aus einer neben den Längssiegelelementen 115 bzw. 117 wirksam werdenden Zwischenschicht aus PTFE, die in Form einer sogenannten PTFE-Lanze ausgebildet ist.In order that the longitudinal seams 101a and 101b or 102a and 102b shown in FIG. 11 do not stick in the pocket opening area, a device preventing sealing is provided on both sides of the paper webs. Die Vorrichtung 10 arbeitet mit einem einstellbaren Takt in einer Fertigungslinie, wobei die obere Papierbahn 14 und die untere Papierbahn 15 von der Abdeckeinrichtung 11 nacheinander die unter Bezugnahme auf die Fig. 1 erläuterten Einrichtungen zur Herstellung von Luftpolster-Versandtaschen durchlaufen. Auf Grund der erfindungsgemäßen Konzeption können bei einer doppelnutzigen Fertigung kurze Umstellzeiten für Formatänderungen verwirklicht werden, wobei die Vorrichtung auf Grund der einfach aufgebauten einzelnen Einrichtungen außerordentlich störunanfällig ist und für den Betrieb der Vorrichtung angelernte Personen ausreichen. Es treten weder Transportprobleme noch Versiegelungspuren oder dgl. auf, wodurch der Ausschuß bei der Fertigung minimiert wird. Die beim Versiegeln auftretenden Spannungen in dem Verbund aus Papierbahnen und Luftpolsterfolienbahnen werden problemlos beherrscht, und bei Formatwechsel brauchen auf Grund der erfindungsgemäßen Konzeption keine Kühlleisten oder Siegelleisten ausgetauscht zu werden, weil lediglich ein Verschieben auf die jeweilige Formatgröße mit einfachen Mitteln zuverlässig erreicht werden kann.The device 10 operates with an adjustable cycle in a production line, the upper paper web 14 and the lower paper web 15 of the covering device 11 successively passing through the devices for producing air cushion mailing bags explained with reference to FIG. 1. Claims (11)

1. Apparatus for producing air-cushion dispatch bags comprising a paper uncoiling means (11), an air-cushion foil uncoiling means (24), at least one longitudinal and one transverse sealing means (33 and 35) for the edge region of each dispatch bag or envelope to be made, a predrawing means (40, 44) for the paper sealed to the air-cushion foil, a means (43, 45) for the cutting of the dispatch bags corresponding to the intended format and a timing control (39) for the production of the dispatch bags, characterized in that the paper uncoiling means (11) is provided for two separate paper webs (14, 15) and the air-cushion foil uncoiling means (24) for two separate air-cushion foil webs (27, 30), that before the longitudinal sealing means (33) an area sealing means (32) is disposed which seals at least over a partial area the two converged paper webs (14, 15) to the two air-cushion foil webs (27, 30) introduced therebetween, that the longitudinal and transverse sealing means (33, 35) are adjustable to correspond to the format and that at least three longitudinal sealing means (35) are provided.
2. Apparatus according to claim 1, characterized in that before the cutting means (43, 45) a web running control means (42) is arranged for the correction of a misrunning of the two connected paper webs (14, 15).
3. Apparatus according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the longitudinal and transverse sealing means (33, 35) are each followed by cooling means (34, 36).

Apparatus according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that in the region of the bag openings provided on the edge side in the running direction of the paper webs (14, 15) in each case a PTFE lance (132, 133) preventing a sealing of the bag openings is provided between the two air-cushion foil webs (27, 30) in longitudinal sealing.
5. Apparatus according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that for longitudinal sealing of the paper webs (14, 15) for each longitudinal sealing means (35) an adjustable coilable PTFE web secured to the respective longitudinal sealing element (115, 117) and running over the sealing surface is provided for protection against soiling or sticking.
6. Apparatus according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that an adjusting means (96, 97) for the cut-off lengths and an adjusting means (120, 125) for dispatch bag formats are provided, the format setting means including toothed racks in the running direction and transversely (126) of the running direction of the paper webs (14, 15) and the racks meshing with adjusting pinions mounted on sealing elements (115, 116, 117) of the sealing means (33, 35) and cooling elements of the cooling means (34, 36).
7. Apparatus according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that for the transverse cutting of the dispatch bags a photocell control is provided for section determination.
8. Apparatus according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that for the transport of the paper webs (14, 15) sealed to the air-cushion foil webs (27, 30) tension rollers (40, 44) are provided which engage at a longitudinal seal seam (99) made within the paper web and the lateral edges of the paper web (15).

Apparatus according to any one of claims 2 to 8, characterized in that the web running control means (42) has a driveless guide roller (86, 87) outwardly inclined in the paper web running direction and an associated driveless application roller (84, 85) outwardly inclined in the paper web running direction in the edge region, the application or pressure roller (84, 85) engaging the other opposite edge of the paper web only on exit of the paper web (15) and the pressure duration of the application roller (84, 85) being adjustable by a timing member.
10. Apparatus according to any one of claims 2 to 9, characterized in that for the misrunning of the paper web (15) at each edge a photocell (94, 95) is provided, by the signals of said cells the application of the application roller (84, 85) provided for the other opposite edge is actuable via an electrically driven compressed-air cylinder (82, 83).
11. Apparatus according to any one of claims 2 to 10, characterized in that in the running direction of the paper webs (14, 15) in front of the web running control means (42) a punching means (37, 38) for the formation of flap closure holes and for the bevelling of the closure flaps is disposed which comprises toothed racks, pinions meshing therewith and actuable for the adjustment and a measuring scale.
