Abstract

Eine Vollmantelzentrifuge (1) zum Entwässern von Schlamm, bestehend aus einer konischen Vollmanteltrommel (2) und einem dazu mit Rela­ tivdrehzahl drehenden Innenrotorteil (3), das Einrichtungen (15, 16) zum Axialtransport der festen Schlammbestandteile aufweist, wobei der Schlammeintrag (14) im konisch verjüngten Ende und der Austrag der festen Schlammbestandteile am konisch erweiterten Ende der Vollmanteltrommel (2) erfolgt, soll dahingehend verbessert werden, daß bei Verringerung des Energieaufwandes eine verbesserte Trennwirkung erzielt wird. Hierzu wird vorgeschlagen, daß der Schlammeintrag über einen oder mehrere radiale Schlammein­ trittskanäle (14) erfolgt, die Einrichtungen zum Axialtransport aus am Innenrotorteil (3) befestigten Flächenelementen (16) bestehen, die in geringem Abstand an der Innenwandung der Vollmanteltrommel vor­ beibewegbar sind und die an Halterungen (15) gehalten sind, durch die mindestens zu 50 % des radialen Abstandes zwischen der Wan­ dung des Innenrotorteils (3) und der Innenwandung der Vollmantel­ trommel (2) ein von den Flächenelementen (16) freier axialer Durch­ trittskanal gegeben ist, am konisch erweiterten Ende der Voll­ manteltrommel (2) am Innenrotorteil (3) eine Stauscheibe (17) befestigt ist, die zur Innenwandung der Vollmanteltrommel (2) unter Bildung eines Ringspaltes (18) angeordnet ist, der die Durchtrittsöffnung von einem vor der Stauscheibe (17) befindlichen Kompaktierungsraum (19) zu einem hinter der Stauscheibe (17) befindlichen Sedimentaustragsraum (20) darstellt, aus dem einer oder mehrere radial nach innen gerich­ tete Sedimentaustrittskanäle (29) führen, die an einen das Sediment nach außerhalb der Vollmanteltrommel (2) leitenden Sedimentaus­ tragskanal (25) anschließen, wobei die vom Sediment getrennte Flüs­ sigkeit aus dem Kompaktierungsraum (19) durch einen oder mehrere in den Klarbereich der Flüssigkeit mündende Flüssigkeitsaustritts­ kanäle (28) ausgetragen wird, die am Innenrotor (3) radial nach innen verlaufend angeordnet sind und in einen die Flüssigkeit nach außerhalb der Vollmanteltrommel (2) leitenden Flüssigkeitsaustrags­ kanal (29) übergehen.
