Description

The invention relates to elevator car doors, in particular for the transformation of smooth-walled elevators.

We know that under certain conditions, in particular at reduced speed, it has been tolerated so far the installation of so-called smooth-wall elevators, characterized by the absence of a car door and the use of simple landing doors of the opening type outwards, with manual opening and automatic closing by elastic return. The interior faces of the various landing doors are flush with the interior surface of the elevator shaft to form a smooth wall against which the car is connected with the minimum clearance by a threshold and input returns. The unlocking of the landing doors, to authorize manual opening, is ensured by locks provided with a roller operating lever actuated by a cam fixed on the cabin. Finally, landing door contacts check that all these doors are closed to allow the car to be moved.

This type of installation has the advantage of being extremely economical and very space-saving, but on the other hand it does not offer the desired security for the users. For this reason, in most countries where this type of installation was accepted, regulatory provisions will make it compulsory, in the short term, the transformation of all existing installations of this type to make them comply with safety standards, in particular by adding cabin doors.

The general problem that arises is therefore to transform, at the lowest possible cost, the existing installations to bring them into compliance with safety standards. For this, a first difficulty is due to the small width of the shaft which generally does not allow the installation of simple sliding doors used on most modern elevators. We are therefore obliged to use accordion or telescopic doors. Another difficulty stems from the shallow depth of the cabin, which can hardly be further restricted by providing for the scanning zones. necessary for the operation of the accordion doors. A third difficulty is due to the small distance which exists between the cabin and the smooth wall which makes it difficult to install telescopic sliding doors with multiple elements, or in any case, when possible, these doors by opening sweep an area which interferes with the operating levers of the landing door locks and with the electrical column connecting the safety contacts and the landing call buttons. This results, in most cases, a need to move this column and to change or transform the locks, or at least their operating levers, which results in a significant cost of supplies and labor.

The object of the invention is to eliminate the above drawbacks, in particular by providing a telescopic door for an elevator car which not only is compact in thickness, but which also avoids interfering, at least one side, with existing facilities.

The invention consists in closing the cabin opening by three panels, including an insulated side panel sliding outwards on the side where the electrical column is located and the or most of the landing door locks, a telescopic side panel of the opposite side and also sliding towards the outside, and a central panel combined with the telescopic panel and moving relative to the telescopic panel at the same time as the latter moves relative to the cabin, the three panels being constituted by a panel of sheet metal with edges falling towards the outside of the cabin, except the edge of the central panel which is on the side of the telescopic panel and which is oriented towards the inside of the cabin for lodging and moving in the occupied and swept space by this telescopic panel, while the insulated panel has a first edge on the side of the central panel whose thickness embraces both the thickness of the telescopic panel and the central panel, and an op edge laid with a much smaller thickness moving beyond the area occupied by the electrical column and the rollers for operating the landing locks without interfering with them.

Other features of the invention will appear in the following description of an embodiment taken as an example and shown in the attached drawing, in which the single figure represents a partial horizontal section of the installation.

We see in this figure the cabin 1 of the elevator moving in the shaft 2, with the landing doors 3, the interior surfaces 4 of which are all arranged in the same vertical plane and connected together in the interval between the floors by the inner wall of the sheath or a suitable filling, not shown, so as to constitute a smooth wall over the entire height of the sheath, at least as long as all the doors 3 are closed.

Each of the landing doors 3 is locked by a mechanical lock 5, the operating lever 6 of which comprises a roller 7, which can act in the direction of the panels, as in the example shown, or perpendicular to them, and which is actuated in passing by a fixed cam, not shown, integral with the cabin 1, in order to authorize the manual opening of the door 3, in the direction represented by the arrow 8, only when the cabin is at this door. We also see the sheath 9 containing the electrical column which brings together the opening contacts of the doors 3 and the call buttons of the successive bearings, not shown.

In general, the interior dimension of the cabin 1 is wider than the passage of the door 3, and cabin returns 10 are provided on each side or only one. Furthermore, a cabin threshold, not shown, is connected with the minimum clearance with the smooth wall, at the same time as the inlet returns 11, generally constituted by a single sheet, also come to be connected with the smooth wall for leave only a minimum interval insufficient to pass the hand.

The cabin door according to the invention must therefore be able to be housed between the returns 10 and the smooth wall, by reducing or changing the inlet returns 11, and possibly changing the threshold to replace it with a threshold with guide grooves .

- un panneau latéral isolé 12 du côté occupé par la colonne 9 et les serrures 5;
For this, the door according to the invention comprises three panels 12, 13 and 14 for an asymmetrical opening, namely:
- an insulated side panel 12 on the side occupied by the column 9 and the locks 5;
- a telescopic side panel 14 on the opposite side; and
a central panel 13 filling the space between the two side panels 12 and 14.

The telescopic side panel 14 is constituted by a sheet metal panel comprising a first fallen edge 15 directed towards the outside of the cabin and a second fallen edge 16 also directed towards the outside of the cabin. By sliding in the direction shown by arrow 17, the panel 14 occupies the position 14a in broken lines in the figure. The central panel 13 also has a first dropped edge 18 similar to the edge 15, and a second dropped edge 19 which has the particularity of being directed towards the interior of the cabin so as to be housed and move inside. the space occupied and scanned by the panel 14 during opening. When the panel 13 opens in the direction represented by the arrow 20, at twice the speed of the speed 17 of the panel 14, it comes to occupy the position shown in 13a in broken lines in the figure, where it can be seen that the edges 19 and 16 fit into one another at the end of the full opening stroke in 16a and 19a.

Furthermore, the insulated side panel 12 also has a first fallen edge 21 on the side of the central panel 13, this edge 21 having a dimension in the direction of the thickness which embraces both the thicknesses of the panels 13 and 14, it that is to say therefore edges 18 and 15, which gives the panel 12 a great stiffness. In return, the opposite edge 22 can be very small in the direction of the thickness, which makes it possible, when opening the panel 12 in the direction of the arrow 23, to prevent this edge 22, which moves up to 22a, does not come to interfere with the location occupied by the column 9 and the rollers 7. Of course, the first fallen edge 21 comprises a cam 24 for the operation of the roller 7, replacing the cam usually carried by the cabin.

It is this highly asymmetrical arrangement, both of the way in which the three panels are opened and the edges of the side panel insulated 12, which avoids the transformation and displacement of the existing members 5, 6, 7 and 9. In addition, the particular inverted arrangement of the edge 19 of the central panel 13 also makes it possible to release a large space on the opposite side, this which is of particular interest in the case where the installation comprises on some of the stages a door similar to 3 but opening in the opposite direction, which consequently implies the presence of the corresponding lock 5 on the opposite side and an additional cam 25 placed in the rim 18. Since the edge 16 is thicker than the edge 22, it is possible that, in this case, it is necessary to modify the lever 6 or the axis of the roller 7 corresponding, but this transformation generally only interests a single stage or a very reduced number of these.

Naturally, the guiding and the operation of the three panels are ensured by a mechanism (not shown), located above the cabin, and of a completely classic design, apart from the asymmetry which is imposed. For example, the two slow panels 12 and 14 can be maneuvered by two connecting rods from a turntable, and the single rapid panel 13 can be moved at double speed from the panel 14 by a conventional cable reeving. The base of the panels naturally slides in the threshold guide grooves indicated above.

It can therefore be seen that, thanks to the invention, it is possible to constitute a standard set of mechanism and doors, possibly of various opening widths, which adapts inexpensively to most cases, having only '' to reduce or change the input returns 11 and to change the threshold to add the standard assembly, and above all in general having no transformation to operate on the rest of the existing installation, which is an economic advantage considerable. Naturally, depending on the position of the locks 5, or of the majority of the locks, the arrangement shown is used, or the arrangement inverted by symmetry.
