Technisches GebietTechnical field
The invention relates to a method and a device for laser removal measurement with high resolution for the close range. The invention falls in the field of distance measurement using a laser beam and optical imaging system.
Zugrunde liegender Stand der TechnikUnderlying state of the art
Zeitschrift "IEEE Trans. Pattern Anal. Machine Intell.", Vol PAMI-5, No.2, März 1983, S. 127, "A Perspective on Range Finding Techniques for Computer Vision".In the case of known methods for determining distances by means of unsharpness measurement, the distance between the recording plane and the objective is changed until the difference in intensity between two neighboring image points has reached a maximum, the distance set then representing a wet distance for the object distance; see. Journal "IEEE Trans. Pattern Anal. Machine Intell.", Vol PAMI-5, No.2, March 1983, p. 127, "A Perspective on Range Finding Techniques for Computer Vision".
Because of the mechanics required for focusing, this solution is not suitable for a fast measuring rate with high measuring accuracy, as required, for example, by laser scanners in robotics.
The laser rangefinders operating according to the transit time method or by phase comparison have the disadvantage, with the required measuring accuracy of better than one milliliter, that they require a great deal of technical effort and if they achieve this resolution at all, the recording time per pixel can be up to a few hundred milliseconds be.
Offenbarung der ErfindungDisclosure of the invention
The invention has for its object to provide a cheap and reliable method that it allows distances in the close range (0 to 5 m) to be measured within a very short time with a resolution of the order of one millimeter.
This object is achieved in the method according to the invention in that when imaging a light spot (1) generated on the object to be measured onto the recording plane (3) outside the image plane of the diameter of the resulting blur disc (4) for distance measurement is used.
Because only the diameter of the unsharpness disc is measured, the recording plane no longer has to be changed to determine the distance.
The method according to the invention has the advantage that the measuring time per pixel is only limited by the response time of the light-sensitive receiver used, for example a CCD line or a photodiode array and not by the positioning speed of the focus. In addition, the resolution is also not dependent on the mechanical focusing, but only on the resolution of the light-sensitive receiver and the dimensioning of the optical system.

Wird Gleichung (10) nach g aufgelöst, ergibt sich Gleichung (11).Figure 1 shows the measuring principle of the invention. A light spot with the object distance g generated on the object to be measured is sharply imaged according to the lens law (8) by an optical system (2) with the focal length f in the image plane with the image width b. If the recording plane (3) is outside this image plane, a blur disc (4) is created, the Diameter D on the receiving plane according to equations (6) and (7) depends on the diameter L of the diaphragm (5), on the image width b and on the distance s of the receiving plane (3). According to the lens law (8) b equation (9) follows for the image width. If the image width b is replaced by equation (9) in equation (7), equation (10) results for the diameter D of the unsharpness disc (4) at the point s. If equation (10) is solved for g, equation (11) results.
Figure 2 shows an embodiment of the invention. A laser (12), which is arranged with the receiving optics (13) by a beam splitter (19) on the same optical axis, generates, after being deflected by the deflection unit, consisting of mirror (22) and actuator (21), on the Object (18) a point of light (17). This light spot (17) is imaged by the recording optics (13) on a light-sensitive line receiver (14), so that since it is arranged outside the image plane, a blur disc (16) is created. The evaluation computer (15) can use the number of responding cells in the line receiver (14) to determine the diameter of the unsharpness disc (16) and thus the object distance g according to equation (11). The evaluation computer (15) can switch the laser on and off via the signal A and position the laser light spot (17) on the object (18) via the signal B and the servomotor (21) with mirror (22), via the signal INT the exposure time of the line receiver (14) is controlled and the values of the individual cells are read in via the line V with the clock signal CLK after the exposure. The light sump (23) swallows the laser light partially reflected on the beam splitter (19).
Bester Weg zur Ausführung der ErfindungBest way to carry out the invention
For example, if a lens with a focal length of 500 mm and an aperture diameter of 50 mm is used det, the diameter of the unsharpness disc is approximately 25 mm at an object distance of 1 meter and approximately 16.7 mm at 1.5 meters, ie the disc diameter is reduced by 8.3 mm. With a cell spacing of 13 µm, this corresponds to a number of 638 receive cells for a CCD line, so that the required resolution of 1 millimeter is achieved in this distance range. Measuring times of 100 microseconds can be achieved when using CCD lines, ie approximately 10,000 measurements per second can be carried out. It should also be noted that the resolution decreases quadratically with the distance, so that the working area must be adapted by means of an appropriately dimensioned lens.
DieFIG. 2 shows an exemplary embodiment for object measurement with a deflection unit which scans the object freely controlled by the computer. The beam splitter (19) allows the laser (12) and receiving optics (13) to be arranged on the same optical axis, so that both beam paths are always synchronized after the deflection. The
The evaluation computer (15) converts the number of responding cells of the line receiver into the corresponding distance value, the intensity of the unsharpness disc (16) being able to be used to determine the reflection constant of the illuminated object point, since the distance is known.
