Abstract

The device is based on a standpipe holder for microwave antennas with flat reflectors, which has a retaining part fitted to the rear side of the reflector (2), which retaining part can be swivelled with respect to a swivelling part (1) attached to the standpipe (9), by means of an adjustable screw device (34,35,36), for adjusting the elevation angle of the antenna about an axis of rotation (D), which passes horizontally through the mutually parallel swivels (4,5) of the retaining part and of the swivelling part, perpendicular to the main direction of radiation. In order to facilitate simple and cost-effective construction for such a holder and hence a small packaging size, without any parts that can be lost, together with rapid, safe installation and the ability to adjust the elevation angle, it is provided that the retaining part consist of two ribs (3), which form one piece with the flat reflector and are parallel to each other and to the main direction of radiation, that only one continuous bolt (6) be provided as the axis of rotation, on which the swivelling part can be placed such that it can be locked, and that a threaded pin (36) is pivoted on a rib, at a distance from the axis of rotation and such that it can be fixed, and a nut (35) can be rotated on the threaded pin (36) for adjusting the elevation angle of the antenna, which nut (35) engages with a torus (34) in a slot in the swivelling part. <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to a device for fastening a microwave antenna with a surface reflector on a standpipe, with a holding part attached to the rear of the surface reflector, which is opposite to a U-shaped swivel part which can be fastened to the standpipe by means of an adjustable screwing device for adjusting the angle of the antenna by one Axis of rotation is pivotable, which extends horizontally through the mutually parallel interlocking legs of the holding part and the pivoting part perpendicular to the main beam direction of the antenna.
Such a device, as can be used in particular for holding smaller parabolic antennas for satellite radio reception, is already known from DE-OS 31 27 855. With this holder, the swivel device is complicated due to the many individual parts (screw connections, mounting brackets for the screw spindles) on the one hand in terms of material requirements and manufacture and on the other hand, in particular with regard to the setting of the elevation angle, complicated to use. In addition, an additional manufacturing effort is required because the holder must be attached to the reflector. To minimize the packaging size, the holding part can be separated from the pivoting part in this known device; however, loose parts result in the packaging and the assembly effort of the holding device is further increased.

The device known from DE-OS 19 56 172 of the above Art is because of the high manufacturing costs due to the many screw connections, the required fastening device for connection to the reflector, and the complicated structure of the pivot device with rotatably mounted cross bolt and pinned screw relatively expensive. In addition, this version has a large packaging depth because the side parts of the swivel part must be as wide as possible so that a sufficiently large adjustment range of the elevation angle can be reached.

The invention has for its object to provide a device of the type mentioned, which is simple and inexpensive to build, has a small packaging size without losing parts and allows quick and permanently safe assembly and adjustability of the elevation angle.

This object is achieved in that the holding part consists of two ribs parallel to one another and to the main beam direction, integral with the surface reflector, as the axis of rotation only a continuous bolt is provided, onto which the swivel part can be locked and that a rib at a distance from Axis of rotation a threaded pin is articulated, on which a nut can be rotated to adjust the elevation angle of the antenna, said nut engaging with an annular bead in a slot of the pivoting part.

The device according to the invention can already be produced simply and inexpensively due to the one-piece construction of the holding part and surface reflector and the part-saving, uncomplicated construction of the swivel device. Due to the pivoting part which can be plugged and locked onto the bolt representing the axis of rotation, the assembly is also extremely simple and quick to carry out. In addition, due to the separation of the swivel part with mast fastening clamp from the holding part integral with the surface reflector, the antenna has a small packaging size and no loose parts that can be lost.
Furthermore, the setting of the elevation angle is advantageous with very little effort, namely only by means of a threaded rod with a nut designed expediently as a manually operable handle knob, without lock nuts, rotatable cross bolts or the like. enables, while still a quick, yet precise and safe angle adjustability is guaranteed. Finally, the bolt forming the axis of rotation can also be used as a handle, with which the antenna can be transported very easily by hand, particularly in the case of larger reflector dimensions.

Advantageous embodiments of the invention can be found in the subclaims.

In an embodiment according to claim 2, a high surface pressure between the swivel part and the holding part (ribs) and thus a permanently secure fixation of the set antenna position in the vertical plane, which is independent of environmental influences, is achieved with simple means.

Due to the double use of one of the four screw connections according to claim 3, own fastening means for the threaded rod can be dispensed with in a cost-saving manner.

In claim 4, an expedient embodiment of the swivel part and bolt is specified, which enables simple assembly without loosening parts (eg screw connections). After the bolt has been brought into the assembly position by hand against spring pressure, the swivel part (in the case of an embodiment according to claim 2 with the legs between the ribs and clamps) only needs to be plugged onto the bolt with the key-shaped recesses, which after release by the force of the compression spring slides back into the starting position in which the swivel part is rotatably attached to the bolt. In view of a simple arrangement of the spring, of the two alternatives specified in claim 4, the one in which the bolt is axially displaced under spring force is generally more favorable. In this case, an annular groove (if possible With. conical end faces) or an equivalent constriction may be provided.

The swivel part can be plugged on particularly easily and quickly if the keyhole-shaped recesses have an enlarged section on the open end part which serves as an insertion aid.

An embodiment according to claim 6 ensures in a simple manner that the key surfaces are always in the desired angular position. With a simple version, e.g. a square head and a nose resting thereon may be provided. For practical handling, however, a design according to claim 7 is cheaper, in which the hook lies in the groove in the operating state and thereby ensures the protection against rotation, while in the assembled state it rests on one of the groove walls (the amount of the desired axial displacement of the Bolzens corresponds) and thereby frees the fitter both hands for further assembly work.

It is particularly easy to attach (or remove) the swivel part to (or from the) bolt when the key surfaces are designed according to claim 8, because the bolt is thereby pressed onto the oblique parts by the pressure of the corresponding edge parts of the key-shaped recesses of the legs of the swivel part lateral end faces of the key faces (or in an equivalent part of an annular groove) is automatically moved instead of by hand and causes a forced locking when sliding back automatically. The hook is conveniently always in the groove, so that the bolt is secured against rotation and the key surfaces are always in the correct position.

An alternative to this embodiment, which can be useful in individual cases, is given in claim 9.

The embodiment of the device according to the invention described in claim 10 advantageously results in a flawless guidance when adjusting the elevation in a large angular range and a support of the pivoting part on the ribs of the reflector and, by increasing the stability of the device, also results in flawless adjustability even with large antenna weights and / or wind loads and - together with the measures according to claim 2 - permanent exact compliance with the set elevation angle within very narrow limits.

In an embodiment of the device according to claim 11, an effective securing of the screw connection is achieved in a simple and extremely cost-effective manner without additional, possibly lost, parts.

In known mast attachments with a U-bracket and counter clamp, the surface facing the standpipe has either no or a whole series of spikes. Experiments have shown that in both versions, one-sided tightening of the wing nuts, as is regularly the case in practice, leads to unacceptable rotations of the antenna from the target azimuth position. This is reliably avoided by the simple measure according to claim 12.
A holding tab provided according to claim 13 prevents the U-shaped bracket from slipping in the direction of the surface reflector and thereby hampers the assembly.
A significant increase in the stability of the actual mast attachment is achieved according to claim 14 in that the base part of the bracket rests over its entire length on a corresponding trough-shaped recess of the pivoting part.

In view of the permanently high precision of the elevation angle adjustment even after several adjustment processes, the attachment of a scale according to claim 15 is particularly expedient for the rapid adjustment of the desired antenna inclination.

The figures show an embodiment of the device according to the invention in a satellite receiving antenna with a parabolic mirror, e.g. for the reception of DBS satellite programs, whereby the parabolic reflector is only partially shown due to its size. 1 shows a partially sectioned view of the rear of the antenna mounted on the standpipe and FIGS. 2 to 4 partially sectioned views according to the section lines shown in FIG.

The device consists of a U-shaped swivel part 1, two mutually parallel, integral with the parabolic reflector 2 and projecting from the rear wall in the direction of the reflector axis A (identical to the main beam direction) ribs 3, one of the ribs 3 and the legs 4, 5 of the Passing swivel part 1, forming a horizontal axis of rotation D running perpendicular to the reflector axis A, forming cylindrical bolt 6, a device 7 for adjusting the elevation angle of the microwave antenna and a mast screw 8 for fastening the swivel part 1 to a standpipe 9.
The mast screw connection 8 consists of a U-shaped bracket 10 which, with its free arms designed as threaded bolts, passes through the base part 11 of the pivoting part 1 and comprises the standpipe 9, and a counter clamp 12, which is pressed onto the standpipe 9 with wing nuts 13 when the device is mounted becomes. The base part 11 of the swivel part 1 has a V-shaped recess 14 at the upper and lower ends, on the side walls of which the standpipe 9 rests, and in the central region a wide trough-shaped recess 15, at the bottom of which the base part of the bracket 10 rests for its stabilization . To make assembly easier, the bracket 10 is held on the leg part 1 by a partially encompassing tab 16 that is pressed out of the base part 11 of the pivoting part 1 and bent accordingly. The counter clamp 12 lies with two edges 17 of a rectangular recess 18 on the standpipe 9. In this way, twisting from the desired position in the azimuthal direction, in particular when the wing nuts 13 are often unavoidable in practice, is effectively avoided.

In the delivery state, the swivel part 1 with the mast screw 8 is separated from the rest of the device, so that the antenna has a minimal packaging size. The bolt 6 passes through central bores of the ribs 3, not visible in the figures, and one clamp clamp 19 each arranged on the inside of the ribs, each of which can be pressed against the ribs 3 by means of two screws 20 and wing nuts 21. The screws 20 have hexagon heads 22, on the one surface of which a nose 23 pressed out of the clamps 19 bears against rotation, so that the screw connections can be handled without tools.

One end section of the bolt 6 carries a compression spring 24 which surrounds it closely and which is supported on the one hand on the outer surface of the rib 3 and on the other hand with an end turn of smaller diameter on the outer end face of an annular groove 25 of the bolt 6. (Of course, an equivalent locking ring or a similar device could be provided instead of the groove 25. The other end section of the bolt 6 is designed as a hook 26 angled by 90 ° to the axis D with an approximately rectangular cross section, which is secured against rotation in a through on the outer wall of a Rib 3 formed side walls 27 formed groove 28 is.
The legs 4, 5 of the swivel part 1 each have a keyhole-shaped, open at the beard end recess 29, the circular inner part 30 has a slightly larger diameter than the bolt 6, while the width of the inner beard-shaped section 31 is significantly smaller than the bolt diameter and the outer section 32 is significantly wider as an insertion opening.
In the leg 5 of the swivel part 1, a slot 33 is provided, in which an annular bead 34 engages in the operating state of the antenna, which is part of a handwheel 35 which can be screwed onto a threaded spindle 36, which at the other end has a tab 37 on one of the screws 20 is articulated.
Approximately at the level of the passage through the ribs 3, the bolt 6 has two identical incisions with mutually opposite, parallel ones Key surfaces 38 and end surfaces 39 which extend obliquely to the axis D and laterally delimit the key surfaces 38. The width across flats is slightly smaller than the width of section 31 of recesses 29.

In the delivery state, all wing nuts 13, 21 and the hand rim 35 are loosely screwed onto the associated screws or threaded spindles 10, 20, 36, so that no losable nuts or the like. Small parts are included in the packaging. When installing the device, the swivel part 1 only needs to be inserted with the legs 4, 5 between the ribs 3 and the clamps 19 and with the recesses 29 on the bolt 6, the annular bead 34 inserted into the slot 33, the desired one on the leg 5 of the swivel part 1 attached scale 40 readable elevation angle by turning the handwheel 35 free from play and then this setting of the device to be permanently fixed by tightening the wing nuts 21 by hand. The swivel part 1 is automatically locked in such a way that, when plugging in, the shoulders 41 of the recesses 29 first slide along the inclined end faces 39 of the incisions of the bolt 6 and move it against the force of the spring 24 to such an extent that the narrow section 31 of the recesses 29 can slide past the key faces 38 until the inner circular part 30 comprises the bolt 6, which then moves axially outwards by the spring force to such an extent that the pivot part 1 can be rotated about the axis D and is firmly connected to the ribs 3 in the radial direction . The linear (and not punctiform) abutment of the shoulders 41 on the inclined end faces 39 ensures that the sliding operation is always safe.
To possibly remove the antenna from the swivel part 1, after loosening the wing nuts 21 and pulling out the annular bead 34 from the slot 33, only the bolt 6 has to be pushed back by hand and pulled out of the swivel part 1 together with the reflector 2. The hook 26 lying in the groove 28 ensures that the bolt 6 cannot twist and the key surfaces 38 thereby always correctly with respect to the recesses 29.

The lateral end faces 42, 43 of the legs 4, 5 of the pivoting part 1 are circular towards the axis of rotation D towards the free end and are adapted to corresponding circular end faces 44, 45 each of a raised portion 46 provided on the inside of the ribs 3. In this way, safe guidance and support is achieved even with strong mechanical loads on the swivel joint by wind pressure or heavy parabolic mirrors, so that clean adjustability and a permanent setting value are ensured.
