Aus der deutschen Patentschrift 30 19 595 ist es beispielsweise bekannt, die auf einen Plattenzylinder aufzuspannenden Platten an den in die Zylindergrube eingeführten Plattenenden mit Ausnehmungen zu versehen, die zwecks exakter Positionierung der Platten auf dem Plattenzylinder in Registerplättchen bzw. Registerstifte eingreifen, die in der Zylindergrube angeordnet sind. Dabei muß zumindest für jede der nebeneinander auf den Plattenzylinder aufzuspannenden Platten ein Registerstift bzw. ein Registerplättchen vorgesehen sein. Des weiteren ist es auch bereits aus der US-Patentschrift 2 709 405 bekannt, die Halterungen von Platten über unterschiedliche Gewindesteigungen aufzuweisende Stellmittel zu verschieben. Die vorliegende Erfindung geht von dem Problem aus, daß sich die zu bedruckende Papierbahn in Abhängigkeit von ihrer Beschaffenheit und von der Feuchtmittelaufnahme während des Druckens in ihrer Breite verändert. Diese Breitenänderung kann von Druckwerk zu Druckwerk unterschiedlich sein. Sie nimmt von der Bahn- bzw. Zylindermitte nach außen hin zu. Auf dieser Problematik aufbauend liegt der Erfindung die Aufgabe zugrunde, eine verstellbare Seitenregistervorrichtung zu schaffen, mit der die Breitenänderung der Papierbahn durch eine Stellvorrichtung für mehrere in Achsrichtung nebeneinanderliegende Platten korrigiert werden kann. Diese Aufgabe wird durch die Anwendung der Merkmale der kennzeichnenden Teile der Patentansprüche 1 und 3 gelöst. Weiterbildungen ergeben sich aus den Unteransprüchen und aus der Beschreibung in Verbindung mit den Zeichnungen. In diesen zeigen:

Zur erfindungsgemäßen Verstellung des Seitenregisters wird parallel zu der Zylindergrube (2) eine Bohrung (15) mit entsprechenden Zugängen zu der Zylindergrube erzeugt. Bei dem Ausführungsbeispiel gemäß Fig.1 und 2 sind in der Bohrung (15) ineinanderliegende rohr- bzw. stangenförmige Stellstücke (10) und (11) angeordnet, von denen jeweils eines mit einem der Registerplättchen (5, 6) verbunden ist. Registerplättchen (5, 6) und Stellstücke (10, 11) können ggf. auch einteilig hergestellt werden, wenn beispielsweise zwecks erleichterter Einführung zwischen der Bohrung (15) und der Zylindergrube (2) ein schlitzförmiger Durchgang vorhanden ist oder die gesamte Anordnung direkt in der Zylindergrube (2) positioniert ist. Die rohrförmigen Stellstücke (10, 11) liegen ineinander und weisen seitlich der Zylinderstirnseite (9) Gewinde mit unterschiedlicher Steigung auf. Um die Bohrung (15) klein zu halten, ist es zweckmäßig, die in dieser angeordneten Stellstücke (10, 11) außerhalb des Zylinders zu erweitern bzw. an diese entsprechende vergrößerte Stücke anzuschrauben oder anzuschweißen. Das äußere Stellstück (10) weist außerhalb des Plattenzylinders (1) ein Innengewinde und das innere Stellstück (11) ein Außengewinde auf. Dabei sind gemäß der Erfindung die Steigungen dieser Gewinde unterschiedlich. In diese Gewinde (13, 14) greift eine Stellschraube (12) ein, die sowohl ein Innen- als auch ein Außengewinde ebenfalls jeweils mit unterschiedlicher Steigung aufweist, so daß beim Drehen der Stellschraube (12) die Stellstücke (10, 11) in Achsrichtung gesehen um unterschiedliche Wege verschoben werden. In erfindungsgemäßer Weise wird dadurch erreicht, daß zwecks Ausgleich der Bahnbreitenveränderung die äußere Platte (3) registermäßig um ein größeres Maß verschoben wird als die innere Platte (4).
