Description

The invention relates to a ski brake, as specified in the first part of claim 1.

Such a ski brake is already shown in FR-A 2 430 244 in FIGS. 5 to 8 and described in context. This ski brake has two leg springs on the swivel axis for the pedal, which swivel the pedal upwards and thus bring the two brake mandrels into the braking position. The two springs therefore only act on the brake bracket via a joint mounted in the pedal, which in turn is pivotably and displaceably mounted with its two offsets in the longitudinal slots in the longitudinal side walls of the housing.

The object of the invention is to improve the arrangement of the known springs and to provide a solution by which a direct attack of the springs on the brake bracket or on the two brake pins is made possible.

Starting from a ski brake according to the first part of claim 1, this object is achieved according to the invention by the features of the second part of this claim. Characterized in that the entire spring force is transmitted directly to the two brake mandrels or to the brake bracket in their or its central region, the two coil springs, which also serve to pivot the brake blades into the braking position, can be dimensioned weaker. It is also possible to accommodate the springs in a way that is protected against the weather.

The measure of claim 2 has the advantage that when the brake bracket is in the braking position, the pressure exerted on the brake blades by the snow is passed directly into the housing attached to the ski and does not load the springs.

The measure of claim 3 enables the brake blades to come to rest within the two sides of the ski during the journey and therefore not hinder the journey even when stones or branches protrude from the slope.

By the subject of claim 4, the wear of the longitudinal slots is reduced, since the sliding blocks have larger contact surfaces than the sections of the two brake mandrels lying only with line contact.

Due to the features of claim 5, the control for pivoting the brake mandrels above the top of the ski is particularly effective.

The subject matter of claim 6 prevents the end of the spring from being worn by the pivoting movement of the brake mandrel.

Finally, the features of claim 7 serve to secure the pivoting movement of the two brake mandrels.

In the drawing, for example, embodiments of the ski brake according to the invention are shown purely schematically. Fig. 1 iet gin section along the line I-I in Fig. 2 by a ski brake in the braking position and Fig. 2 is a plan view of the same. A variant in top view is shown in the lower half of FIG. 2. Fig. 3 is a partially sectioned side view of a third embodiment. FIG. 4 shows a fourth embodiment in the braking position in section along the line IV-IV in FIG. 5 and in FIG. 5 a top view of this embodiment. 6 and 7 show the same embodiment in the driving position in the section along the line VI-VI in Fig. 7 or in part according to the line VII-VII in Fig. 6 sectional plan view.

It has a housing 2 serving as a base plate, which is fastened to the top of the ski by means of screws, not shown. Of course, the housing 2 can be held down by a ski binding part, integrated into this, guided on a ski binding part or also glued to the top of the ski. The width of the housing 2 corresponds at least approximately to the width of the ski, which is not shown in the drawing. In the housing 2, a pedal 3 is pivotally mounted on an axis 4. At the free end of the pedal 3, a multiply cranked brake bracket 5 is articulated with its central section 5a. Two sections 5c of the brake bracket 5 parallel to the middle section 5a, which are connected to the middle section via two sections 5b and serve as the pivot axis of the brake bracket 5, are mounted in bearing parts 6, which are displaceably mounted in the housing 2 between two guides 2a and 2b and according to Art are formed by sliding blocks. Each bearing part 6 has on the side facing away from the axis 4 an extension 6a, which serves to mount a spring 7 designed as a helical compression spring, the other end of which is accommodated in a recess in the housing 2, which is located between the two guides 2a and 2b.

Each section 5c of the brake bracket 5 is followed by a section 5d; which runs parallel to the vertical longitudinal center plane of the ski brake 1 and carries a brake blade 8 at its free end. Of course, in the two vertical longitudinal side walls of the housing 2 longitudinal slots 2c are recessed, which are penetrated by the sections 5c of the brake bracket 5.

In the braking position, the ski brake 1 is in the position shown in FIGS. 1 and 2. However, if the pedal 3 is depressed by the foot of the skier, the two bearing parts 6 move between the guides 2A and 2b against the force of the springs 7 away from the pivot axis 4. At the same time, the brake bracket 5 in FIG. 1 is pivoted counterclockwise until the toggle lever formed by the pedal 3 and the brake bracket 5 is just above the extended position. The at In this position, the brake blades 8 run approximately parallel to the housing 2, but are located outside the outline of the housing in a plan view.

In the lower half of Fig. 2, a variant of the ski brake 1 'is shown, which differs from the first embodiment only in that a spring 7' designed as a tension spring is provided on each side of the vertical longitudinal center plane of the ski brake, which is articulated on the one hand on section 5c of the brake bracket 5 and on the other hand on a bolt 9 which penetrates the housing 2 in the transverse direction parallel to the underside of the housing.

A further embodiment of a ski brake 1 "is shown in FIG. 3. This ski brake 1" differs from those described so far in that the longitudinal slots 2'c are angled in the longitudinal side walls of the housing 2 ', that section 2'd of the guide slot, in which the section 5c of the brake bracket 5 is in the braking position of the brake paddle 8, extends almost to the top of the housing 2 'and encloses an obtuse angle with the section of the longitudinal slot 2'c running parallel to the underside of the housing.

The last-discussed embodiment ensures that the pressure exerted on the brake blade by the snow when the brake blade 8 is in the braking position is passed directly from the side of the axis 4 into the housing 2 'and does not load the springs, which are not shown here.

Anders liegen die Verhältnisse bei der in den Fig. 4-7 dargestellten Ausführungsform der Skibremse 1'".In the exemplary embodiments of ski brakes dealt with so far, the two brake blades 8 are in the driving position above the top of the ski, but outside the outline of the ski viewed in plan view, which has certain disadvantages, particularly since the ski brake does not get caught on a protruding branch or stone is excluded. The situation is different in the embodiment of the ski brake 1 ′ ″ shown in FIGS. 4-7.

In this ski brake 1 ″, a housing 2 ″ is also provided, in which a pedal 3 ′ is mounted on an axis 4. In contrast to the embodiments discussed so far, in this embodiment the brake bracket is divided into two brake mandrels 5 'which are mirror images of one another. Furthermore, the pedal 3 'has at its free end no cylindrical bend or cylindrical bore, but a recess 3'b, which has a circular cross-section at both ends, but towards the longitudinal center plane of the pedal 3' in the horizontal longitudinal center plane expanded conically, so that pivoting of the end sections 5'a of the two brake mandrels 5 'around the point 3'c is possible. Furthermore, the sections 5'c of the two brake mandrels 5 'forming the pivot axis of the brake bracket 5' are mounted in receiving bores 6'c in the displaceable bearing parts 6 '. c is possible by a predetermined angle in a plane parallel to the top of the ski. Another difference compared to the previously described embodiments is that a stop body 12 is formed in one piece with the housing 2 ". This has a shoulder 12a on each side of the vertical longitudinal center plane with which the section 5'c of the associated brake mandrel 5 'in Contact comes before the stretched position of the toggle lever system formed by the pedal 3 'and the two brake mandrels 5' is reached.

Since the supporting surface of the portion 'to the pedal 3 is 5'a each brake mandrel 5 in the vicinity of the side wall, the support points of the sections 5'c other hand, the ski brake are located on the shoulders 12a of the stopper body 12 in the vicinity of the vertical longitudinal center plane 1 1v, there is a pivoting of each brake mandrel 5 'about the point 3'c when the toggle lever system formed from the pedal 3' and the brake mandrels 5 'is pressed into its extended position. At the same time, the section 5'a migrates outwards until the position shown in FIG. 7 is reached, in which the bends adjoining the end sections 5'a 'bear against the longitudinal side walls of the housing 2 " To prevent 5'c from the shoulders 12a of the stop body 12, vertical bolts 11 are arranged on arms 10, which extend from the bearing parts 6 'to the vertical longitudinal center plane.

Fig. 7). When the toggle lever system is depressed, the two brake mandrels 5 'are pivoted in a plane parallel to the top of the ski. The two brake blades, which are fastened to the sections 5'd of the brake mandrels 5 ', come to rest on the top of the ski (see FIG. 7). Since the two brake mandrels 5 'are made of spring steel wire, they are somewhat tensioned when they are brought into the extended position of the toggle lever system, which facilitates their return to the braking position. Since, as has already been stated, the brake blades are in the driving position within the two side surfaces of the ski, the risk of the brake blades or the sections 5'd carrying them being caught on an obstacle is averted.

If the skier leaves the binding with his ski boot, the pedal 3 'and the two brake mandrels 5'd come under the influence of the two springs 7 into the braking position shown in FIGS. 4 and 5, in which the sections 5'd attached brake blades protrude down over the underside of the ski and enclose an acute angle with them.

The invention is not tied to the embodiments shown in the drawing and described above. Rather, different modifications of the same are possible without leaving the scope of the invention. For example, in the embodiment according to FIG. 3, compression or tension springs can be used as required.
