Abstract

The closure for a threaded mouth (1) has a cap (10) made of plastic which is provided by means of tear-off elements (18) with a ring (12). If the ring is still on the cap (10) when the mouth is closed, it indicates that it has not yet been opened. By means of blocking elements (33), the ring (12) is blocked on the mouth against being unscrewed. The ring (12) has at least one opening (26), in which a carrier (30) of the cap (10) engages. When the cap is unscrewed, the carrier destroys the ring (12). This can be facilitated in that intended break points (21) are provided which have the form of narrow connection webs (20) between parts of the ring (12). <IMAGE>

Description

Stand der Technik, Aufgabe, LösungState of the art, task, solution

The invention relates to a tamper-evident closure with the features mentioned in the preamble of claim 1.

In a previously known tamper-evident closure of this type, which is manufactured by the applicant, the screw cap with the ring attached to it can be screwed onto the mouth of a bottle, resilient locking elements on the ring snapping over corresponding locking elements on the bottle mouth. The spring elements of the ring, viewed in the screwing direction, are directed obliquely backwards and act like pawls that allow screwing, but reach behind the locking elements of the mouth when unscrewing and thus prevent the ring from turning back. When the cap is turned back further, the tear-off elements are then torn off the cap.

The disadvantage here is that the ring remains on the mouth. In the closed state, it therefore does not make it sufficiently clear that the cap has already been unscrewed. There is also a risk that the ring will fall off when emptying the container or bottle and z. B. falls into the poured filling.

The present invention is intended to improve a tamper-evident closure of the type mentioned in such a way that the ring is broken down into individual parts when the cap is first opened. On the other hand, the ring must hold together so tightly that it is not damaged when it is screwed on.

Diese Aufgabe wird nach Anspruch 1 gelöst.This object is achieved according to claim 1.

The driver of the cap, which then engages in an opening of the ring, can be made so stable that it destroys the ring, provided that the ring is made of a material that allows it to tear or break.

As it is destroyed, the ring falls off the mouth when it is opened for the first time, thereby identifying the opening and cannot fall into the filling material when pouring.

Weiterbildungen der ErfindungDevelopments of the invention

According to claim 2, the ring can have predetermined breaking points that facilitate its destruction. This is important if the ring, like the entire cap, is made of elastic plastic, which is advantageous with regard to sealing elements and the resilient locking elements.

According to claim 3, the predetermined breaking points are advantageously arranged next to the openings for the driver. The tensile effects exerted by the drivers in the circumferential direction consequently have an immediate effect at the predetermined breaking points.

According to claim 6, the openings can surround the driver with play, which is particularly important in the circumferential direction. This ensures that the drivers do not transmit any forces to the ring when it is screwed on, ie they cannot destroy it. When the cap is unscrewed, the locking elements, which prevent the ring from being twisted off, come into operation. The tear-off elements between the ring and cap are then torn. Thereafter, the drivers can move freely in their openings so that they exert forces in the circumferential direction after the game has been used up transfer to parts of the ring and tear it at the predetermined breaking points.

According to claim 7, the driver receives a shape that enables easy manufacture of the cap by spraying.

Figures 4 and 5 show a mouth of a glass bottle. The mouth 1 has a screw thread 2 for a closure cap. Below the screw thread, the mouth of a thickening has four locking elements 3 in the form of cams, each with an outwardly curved ramp surface 5 that rises in the clockwise direction and a locking surface 7 that extends in a radial plane.

Figures 1 and 2 show the associated screw cap 10 (hereinafter only called "cap"), which carries a ring 12 for tamper-evident. The cap and ring can be molded from polyethylene or polypropylene. The cap has an internal thread 14, a sealing ring 16 and a centering socket 17. The cap is connected to the ring 12 by four tear-off elements 18. The tear-off elements have the possible shape of truncated pyramids, the bases of which in the Pass over the ring and its upper ends go into the cap.

The ring consists of two segments (approximately halves), which are connected on the right and left only by two thin connecting webs 20. As a result, predetermined breaking points 21 are formed between the two ring segments. The ring segments each have a jacket 22 and an inner flange 24 at the top. The inner flange of each ring segment is shorter in the circumferential direction than the jacket, such that there is an opening 26 on the right and left in FIG. 2, which is located at the joint between the two ring segments and which is adjacent to the predetermined breaking point 21. Each inner flange 24 has a downwardly projecting rib 27 at one end.

The jacket 28 of the cap has at each opposite point a driver 30 in the form of an approximately axially parallel extension, which projects into one of the openings 26 of the ring, with play both in the circumferential direction with respect to the inner flanges 24 and radially with respect to the jackets 22 of the Ring. The driver has the task of destroying the ring when unscrewing the cap.

Four locking elements 33 projecting obliquely inwards sit on the jacket 22 of the ring. They run at an angle of approximately 45 ° to a radial plane. They interact with the locking elements 3 of the mouth. The entire cap including the ring and the locking elements is made of elastic plastic.

Funktionfunction

When the mouth is screwed on, the locking elements 33 of the ring finally end up in the area of the locking elements 3 of the mouth. They perform a ratchet movement, so they run outwards on the surfaces 5 and jump inwards after crossing each locking element. The connecting webs 20 are sufficient chend strongly dimensioned so that the ring withstands these loads when screwing.

When unscrewing, the cap can first be turned back until the blocking elements hit the blocking surfaces 7 with their free ends. This prevents further rotation of the ring. If the cap is turned further, the tear-off elements 18 tear through. When the cap is turned further, the catches 30 of the cap move in the openings 26 of the ring in the circumferential direction and then touch the ribs 27 of the inner flanges 24 while the ring remains standing. When turning further with the necessary effort, the connecting webs 20 are torn through, specifically at both opposing predetermined breaking points 21. The ring is thus divided into two halves, which then fall down.

Variantenvariants

The ring can be divided into more than two segments by predetermined breaking points, which requires a corresponding number of drivers 30. The predetermined breaking points can be designed differently than shown. For example, a weakening of the ring jacket 22 is sufficient. Or more than two connecting webs or only one can be provided for each predetermined breaking point. The mouth should have at least two locking elements 3. The ring should have at least two, but can also have more than four locking elements 33.
