Description

The invention relates to an anti-theft system according to the preamble of claim 1.

A security circuit of this type is known from US Pat. No. 4,237,450 which is to be installed in a device to be monitored and which comprises its own direct current source for the actual alarm circuit. If the mains connection is interrupted, and also in the event of a power failure, an alarm is triggered if a relay connected to the mains connection drops out, while a locking relay prevents the alarm from being switched off by simply restoring the mains connection.

However, there is a need for a simple security system for electrical equipment in department stores, offices and the like, which does not require any intervention in the equipment and is suitable for remote reporting without extensive changes in the line network.

Starting from the aforementioned prior art, this object is achieved according to the invention by the characterizing features of claim 1.

It can be used in a simple manner to adapt customary sockets, while the jumper wires can be laid according to the regulations in the power tubes.

From US-A 4 097 843 a security device of the type in question is known which contains a built-in or apparatus socket, behind which a microswitch is arranged, the actuating element of which is actuated by the grounding pin of an inserted plug. However, this device must be installed close to the device to be monitored. Remote reporting is possible, but this requires an additional double signal line, which can be cut, and preventing this device from being switched off also requires special security measures.

From US-A 4 195 290 a special socket is known which contains a switching element which can be displaced in the longitudinal direction under spring tension by an inserted plug and which cooperates with a plurality of fixed contacts which can be connected to a remote relay circuit by means of three connecting wires. This switching element can be locked in the inactive position, the plug pin holes then being closed by means of a turntable. However, this arrangement cannot be done with a conventional electrical outlet and still requires multiple signal wires.

To secure a plurality of sockets, their switches can be connected in series according to claim 2. Such a series connection is known per se from US Pat. No. 3,382,494.

The further subclaims relate to special adaptations of conventional sockets for use in the system according to claim 1, which in this form and for these purposes have not been described in the aforementioned US-A.

The terms "phase or neutral" used above refer to the connection regulations applicable in most European countries. However, as is also clear from the above-mentioned prior art, it will be clear that the system will work in the same way even if these connections are mixed up.

Darin zeigt:

  • Fig. 1 ein Prinzipschema eines anmeldungsgemässen Systems;
  • Fig. 2 eine Ansicht einer Vorzugsausführungsform einer für diesem System bestimmten Wandsteckdose;
  • Fig. 3A und B eine ausgezogene Perspektivdarstellung bzw.
The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to a drawing. It shows:
  • 1 shows a schematic diagram of a system according to the application;
  • Fig. 2 is a view of a preferred embodiment of a wall outlet intended for this system;
  • 3A and B are an exploded perspective view and rear view of part of a second embodiment of this socket; and
  • Fig. 4 shows a section through a third embodiment of this socket.

This comprises lead wires accommodated in a (schematically indicated) lead pipe 1, etc. a phase wire 2 (brown), a neutral wire 3 (blue), and a ground wire 4 (green-yellow) of, for example, 2.5 mm 2 , and a switching wire (black) 5 of, for example, 1.5 mm 2 .

A wall socket 6 comprises the usual contact sockets 7 and 8, which with the wires 2 respectively. 3, as well as grounding springs 9, which are connected to the wire 4. This socket is further provided with a switch 10, one connection of which is connected to the phase contact socket 7 and the other of which is connected to the jumper wire 5.

The switch 10 is designed such that it is closed when a plug is inserted into the socket, and is opened again when the plug is pulled out.

At a suitable point, an alarm relay 11 is connected to the wires 3 and 5 by means of a current limiting resistor 12. This resistor 12 limits the current through relay 11 when switch 10 is closed to an appropriately low value, e.g. less than 25 mA. Of course, a rectifier can be included in the connection to this relay, or this relay can be provided with other known means for improving the attraction in the case of AC excitation.

The relay 11 has an interruption contact 11a, which is connected in series with an alarm device 13 to a power source 14. When the switch 10 of the socket 6 is closed, the relay 11 is energized and the alarm device 13 is therefore switched off. When the plug is pulled out, the switch 10 is opened and the relay 11 drops out, so that the device 13 is switched on by closing the contact 11a. A warning is then given that the device to be secured has been disconnected. If with this device the connecting cord is cut, there is a short circuit, so that the relay 11 drops out and an alarm is given.

In order to avoid that the alarm is switched off again after another plug is inserted, a locking relay 15 can be connected in series with the alarm device 13, the interruption contact 15a of which is included in the circuit of the relay 11. The relay 11 then remains switched off as long as the contact 15a is open.

The alarm device 13 can in turn be switched off by opening the circuit of the locking relay 15 with the aid of a switch 16, while also or instead the switch 11 can in turn be energized by means of a switch 17 in order to open the contact 11 a.

It will be appreciated that other interlock and turn-off circuits can also be used.

It is also possible to connect several sockets 6 to a relay 11. The switches 10 can then be connected in series, only the former being connected to the wire 3, so that only one switching wire 5 need be present in each tube section 1. It is also possible to use a parallel connection and to provide in each socket 6 a limiting resistor in the wire 5 which has been chosen such that the relay 11 drops out as soon as one of the switches 10 is opened. However, series connection is easier and safer.

The advantage of this circuit is that no separate signal lines are required and that a single jumper wire 5 of the usual and approved type can be used, which can be easily arranged in the tube 1, while the presence of these securing means is still invisible.

The switch 10 can be implemented in various ways. Some examples are shown in Fig. 2..4.

The other end of the spring 10 'remains at some distance from the contact bushing 7. As soon as a contact pin of a plug is inserted into the bushing 7, the latter is spread and the latter comes into contact with the contact spring 10'. This version is the simplest. Incidentally, many other ways of fastening the spring 10 'are possible, e.g. to accommodate them in a plastic body which is suitably attached to the socket, e.g. on the mounting plate 28 or by means of a screw which is screwed into a bushing 29 used to fasten the plate 28, which plastic body is also suitable for receiving a connecting screw connected to the spring 10 '.

In the embodiment shown in FIGS. 3A and B, a support plate 19 is fastened to the rear side of the insulating carrier body 18 of the socket 6 by means of screws 20, which plate carries a microswitch 10. Its actuator 21 projects forward onto a front plate 22 which carries a known so-called child lock washer 23, which washer is rotatable about a central pin 24, and is urged by means of a spring in a position in which the washer contacts pin holes 25 in the front plate 22 covers. If two contact pins of a plug are inserted into the holes 25 at the same time, these pins push beveled edges of the disk 23 aside. The actuating member 21 is arranged such that it can be hit by the rotating disk 23, so that the switch is then actuated.

This embodiment is favorable since no additional space is required in a flush-mounted box and only a conventional child safety washer has to be arranged, while the screws 20 can be screwed into holes in the body 18 or are already present therein.

In a modified embodiment according to FIG. 4, a continuous opening 26 is provided in the bottom of the insulating body 18 below the contact bushes 7 and 8, which is located behind the actuating element 21 of the microswitch 10, which actuating element can, if necessary, be provided with an extension 21 ' , which is inserted in the cavity of the contact sleeve. In the case shown, the switch 10 is arranged in a bottom recess in the body 18, so that this switch does not require any additional space. This version is particularly suitable for surface-mounted sockets.
