Abstract

According to the invention, inflatable boats with continuous buoyancy tubes forming the boats' side are provided with auxiliary tubes of roughly crescent-shaped cross-sectional configuration attached to the underside of the buoyancy tubes. On the one hand, success is achieved in substantially improving the sailing properties of the inflatable boats, in particular in rough water, and, on the other hand, the special cross-sectional shape of the auxiliary tubes permits simplifications in production. <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to inflatable boats, the side walls of which are formed by inflatable support tubes which are held at a distance from one another by a rigid transverse wall element and which are brought together in the bow area, additional inflatable tubes having a substantially smaller cross-sectional area on the underside of them running through them in the longitudinal direction in comparison with the support tubes are provided.

Inflatable boats of this type with carrying hoses extended downward in the underwater ship are known, for example, from DOS 3 227 104. The additional hoses, which have a circular cross-section and are geometrically similar to the support hoses, are fastened to them in a circumferential zone offset inwards from the vertical central axis of the support hoses and serve primarily to tension and as an outer skin attached tangentially to the support hoses to make bearing surfaces usable for the hydrodynamic properties of the hull. What is important for this is the coordinated interaction with a keel that supports itself against a rigid inner floor and an outer floor skin between the support tubes at an obtuse angle. Although this type of boat has generally proven itself well and has fully met the expectations placed on it, it still leaves various wishes for improvements open due to the design, it is subjected to particularly heavy loads in the ground area at higher speeds and, on the other hand, loses driving comfort significantly as the wave height increases in rough water.

The invention has for its object to further improve the known inflatable boats while maintaining all the technical advantages of driving a new design of the underwater ship in terms of their driving behavior, especially under extreme conditions, and to introduce the stresses that occur into the boat hull as materially as possible. This object is achieved, starting from inflatable boats of the type described at the outset, in that the additional tubes, when inflated, are designed with a cross-sectional shape that is concavely curved with respect to the supporting tubes in the shape of a sickle or a circle of two unequal radii. The concave inner surface of the additional hoses facing the carrying hoses runs essentially according to the radius of the circular or at least approximately circular cross section of the carrying hoses, and their convex free outer surface facing away from the carrying hoses has a radius which is smaller by comparison. According to further features of the invention, the additional hoses are adhesively connected to the support hoses and span their circumference over an arc angle in the range between 45 ° and 90 °, preferably in such a way that they are symmetrical to the vertical center line of the support hose cross section - on the horizontal floating position of the Inflatable boat-related - are attached to the immersed lower peripheral bend of the carrying hoses and outside of the bottom of the boat connecting the carrying hoses.

The invention achieves the desired improvements with comparatively simple constructive means. With the novel sickle or approximately half-moon cross-section, the additional hoses can be produced as so-called half-hoses in the usual way and with the usual devices without any particular difficulties. Due to their concave shape, they offer an extraordinarily wide adhesive surface for attachment to the cylindrical carrying hoses The gluing process is simplified and simplified, and a high tear-off strength is guaranteed even if the design is incorrect. In their symmetrical alignment with the center of the cross-section of the carrying hoses, they have a direct influence on the form factor of the underwater hull, which is comparable to a keel fin, which consequently enables higher cruising speeds even in rough water without the feared jumping and hitting and a surprising directional stability in all speed ranges and at Driving through extremely tight curves justified. The elimination of the lateral wings provided on known inflatable boats also simplifies the design and the manufacturing effort, which ultimately results in cost savings. The spatial and strength-related separation of the additional hoses from the flexible boat floor clamped in the usual way between the support hoses also results in a reduction and more favorable distribution of the floor stress, especially in higher speed ranges and in the average load condition.

The additional hoses are expediently produced from the impregnated fabric which is also used for the support hoses. According to a variant of the invention, however, they could instead be formed by hose bodies which are interchangeably inserted into shaping, tensile shells. This offers the advantage of easy, simple interchangeability in the event of damage. The nature and construction of the mostly existing inner shelf are of no importance for the invention, and the invention can also be used in connection with only one inflatable air chamber floor.

  • Fig. 1 ein erfindungsgemäßes Schlauchboot in perspektivischer Ansicht von hinten auf die Bodenfläche;
  • Fig. 3 eine Variante als Teildarstellung einer Ansicht gemäß Fig. 2.
The invention is illustrated by the schematic representation of two exemplary embodiments in the drawing. In the drawing is:
  • 1 shows an inflatable boat according to the invention in a perspective view from behind onto the floor surface;
  • Fig. 2 is a cross section through the inflatable boat of FIG. 1 on an enlarged scale and
  • 3 shows a variant as a partial representation of a view according to FIG. 2.

In its essential parts, the rubber dinghy shown is constructed from two inflatable support tubes 3 that enclose the usable interior space and are interconnected by a flexible boat bottom 4 that seals the interior space downward. The carrying hoses are brought together in the bow region of the boat in a manner known per se to form a steve-like structure and are kept at a mutual distance in the stern region in a likewise known manner by a rigid tail board 5 which closes the interior to the rear and at the same time serves to accommodate an outboard motor (not shown). Between the supporting hoses 3 there is a rigid shelf 6 composed of several parts, against which an inflatable keel tube 7 running in the longitudinal direction is supported for tensioning the flexible bottom 4 as a direct closure of the boat interior. The tube body 3 and 7 as well as the bottom 4 are made of a rubber or plastic coated fabric.

The drawing is restricted solely to the representation of the boat parts essential for understanding the invention. For the sake of clarity, other equipment details, fitting elements and fittings have not been reproduced.

On the underside of the carrying hoses 3, additional hoses 8 of a cross-sectional shape which is roughly crescent in the installed state but of a substantially smaller cross-sectional area are fixedly attached in a vertical orientation to these. The additional hoses, which are also produced from gas-impregnated fabric with a semicircular cross section, are glued to the support hoses and assume the concave, curved shape shown in the inflated state of use. Their length is dimensioned according to the length of the side walls, and as can be seen in the illustration in FIG. 1, they run through practically the entire straight part of the carrying hoses 3. The flexible boat bottom 4 is on the inside edge of the Carrying hoses attached so that they are completely free and fully effective when using the inflatable boat.

According to the partial illustration in FIG. 3, the additional hoses are formed by loose and replaceable tubular bodies 28 inserted into form-forming sleeves 18 fastened in their turn to the support hoses 3. As a further variant, an inflatable air chamber floor 16 known per se is provided in this case instead of a rigid shelf above an associated outer flexible boat floor. This does not change the effect of the invention itself.
