Description

The invention relates to an open-end spinning device with two friction rollers arranged next to one another, forming a spinning gusset and driven in the same direction, at least one of which has a perforated jacket which is overhung in the region of one end and in the interior of which a suction slot connected to a vacuum source Suction insert is arranged.

It is known to provide friction rollers designed as suction rollers with drive shafts and to mount them on the fly with roller bearings (DE-OS 2,810,184). The connecting piece of the suction insert inserted into the jacket of the friction rollers is located on the end of the jacket facing away from the drive shafts, so that the direction of feed of the fiber feed channel and the suction direction of the suction insert have the same directional tendency. This storage is cumbersome and not so stable that the uniformly close spacing of the friction rollers required for spinning is ensured.

In order to eliminate these disadvantages, it was proposed to design the suction insert as an axis on which the roller bearings for the jacket extended beyond the area of the suction slot are arranged (DE-OS 3,316,658). However, this increases the distance of the perforated jacket from the suction insert by the height of the bearing, which in turn has to be bridged by a corresponding tubular intermediate piece. This requires a not inconsiderable construction effort and an enlarged friction roller, which cause additional costs. In addition, the air flow conditions are adversely affected, which has an adverse effect on the spinning conditions.

The object of the present invention is to avoid these disadvantages in an open-end spinning device of the type mentioned at the outset.

The object is achieved in that the jacket is mounted on an axis, one end of which is inserted in the suction insert, and in that the suction insert is arranged directly behind the jacket and has a constant cross section until it is connected to the suction line.

This means that a maximum intake cross-section is available with simple storage. The diameter of the friction roller, for which the only criterion is that sufficient air is drawn through the perforated jacket, can therefore be kept as small as possible. The costs for the production of the roller and the air requirement thus remain low.

In a further development of the invention, it is provided that the other end of the axis is overhung in a fixed holder. In another embodiment, the suction insert is overhung in a stationary holder and the axis is inserted into the free end of the suction insert that is removed from the holder. A roller bearing is preferably used for mounting the casing, wherein the axis can be the inner ring of the roller bearing, which consists of at least two races arranged at an axial distance from one another. A prefabricated and easy-to-assemble bearing is obtained in that the axle with the races is inserted into a bearing sleeve. The second race of the rolling bearing is expediently arranged in the bearing sleeve at such a distance from the first race that it lies outside the casing. This improves the concentricity of the casing and the drive of the casing can take place via the part of the bearing sleeve which protrudes from the casing. This has the advantage that the peripheral speed of the jacket can be changed as required by appropriate dimensioning of the bearing or by an additionally pressed-on bush in the drive area.

In order to ensure that the belt runs in a straight line when the casing is driven by means of a tangential belt, the friction roller can be displaced against the drive belt in adaptation to a changed drive diameter of the roller bearing. In a further embodiment of the device it is provided that the suction insert is supported in the region of its end facing away from the axis. A piecing aid, which enables a piecing thread to be sucked in and stored, is created in that the axis is arranged on the side opposite to the thread withdrawal direction and is designed as a hollow axis into which a suction tube bent into the U-shape for the gusset is inserted. Preferably, the end of the overhung suction insert facing away from the axis can be closed by a closure member designed as a rotary slide and extending into the vicinity of the axis.

In Figure 1, 1 denotes a cylindrical suction insert, which is connected by means of a suction line 11 to a vacuum source, not shown. The suction insert 1 is arranged in the jacket 2 of a friction roller provided with perforations 20 and has a suction slot 12 which extends in a known manner along a spinning gusset. The diameter of the suction insert 1 is only so much smaller than that of the casing 2 that the suction insert 1 is located directly behind the casing 2 and is separated from it only by a narrow gap. The suction insert 1 has a constant cross section over its entire length, which is preferably also in the suction line 11 continues to the vacuum source. The spinning gusset is formed by the jacket 2 and a second friction roller 3 arranged parallel and closely next to it, the latter also being designed as a suction roller or, according to the exemplary embodiment, can have a closed jacket (FIG. 4). The two friction rollers are driven in the same direction, for example by a tangential belt 4.

The casing 2, with its non-perforated part projecting beyond the suction insert 1, is suspended on an axis 5, one end of which is clamped in a stationary holder 51. The other end of the axis 5 is inserted with a precise fit in a bore which is provided in a bottom 13 of the suction insert 1 at the end facing away from the suction line 11. The bottom 13 can be an integral part of the suction insert 1 or pressed into it.

The casing 2 is preferably mounted on the axis 5 by means of a roller bearing, but a sliding bearing is also possible if necessary. The rolling bearing 6 used for the storage consists of at least two races 61 and 62, which are arranged at a distance from one another on the axis 5 serving as the inner ring and are inserted with this in a bearing sleeve 63. This results in a compact and easy-to-use prefabricated bearing unit, on the bearing sleeve 63 of which the casing 2 can be quickly and easily pressed in a rotationally fixed manner. It is useful, as shown in Figure 1, the second race 62 of the rolling bearing 6 at such a distance from the first race 61 that it lies outside the shell 2, the bearing sleeve 63 protrudes accordingly from the jacket 2. Thus, on the one hand, the concentricity of the casing 2 is further improved by the increased bearing distance, and on the other hand the possibility is created of driving the casing 2 by means of a belt, expediently a tangential belt 4, via the part of the bearing sleeve 63 protruding from the casing 2. As a result, the belt's contact pressure is transferred directly to the bearing without any tipping moment.

The circumferential speed of the casing 2 can be varied as required by appropriate dimensioning of the roller bearing 6 or by a bush 40 pressed onto the bearing sleeve 63 in the drive area. In order to ensure that the tangential belt 4 runs in a straight line even with such a change in the bearing diameter in the drive area, the friction roller is displaceably mounted against the tangential belt 4. This is indicated in Figure 4 by different axis planes of the two friction rollers. The displacement "a" is possible, for example, in that the axis 5 is detachably fastened in an elongated hole in the holder 51 or is pivotably mounted about a pivot point.

The embodiment according to FIG. 2 differs from that shown in FIG. 1 in that the suction insert 1 also has a support 52 in the area between the free end of the overhung casing 2 and the connection end of the suction line 11.

In the embodiment shown in FIG. 3, the cylindrical suction insert 1 is overhung in a stationary holder 7. The holder 7 contains a suction air duct 71, via which the suction line 11 is used to connect to a suction air source. An air passage opening 14 in the suction insert 1 establishes the connection of the suction air duct 71 with the interior of the suction insert 1, which is arranged directly behind the casing 2 and has a constant cross section over its entire length. The suction air duct 71 and preferably also the suction line 11 have a cross section of the same size as the suction insert 1.

The bearing 15 supporting the roller bearing and serving as its inner ring is pressed into the hole in the bottom 13 of the suction insert 1 on the end of the suction insert 1 facing away from the holder 7. The jacket 2 is also simply pressed onto the bearing sleeve 63 of the prefabricated bearing and driven via the part of the bearing sleeve 63 not covered by the jacket 2 by means of the tangential belt 4.

The open end of the suction insert 1 facing away from the axis 5 is closed by a closure member 8. The closure member 8 is designed as a rotary slide which extends in the vicinity of the axis 5. The type of storage makes it possible to operate this closure member 8 unhindered by components on the end face, and thereby to close or open the suction slot 12 and / or the air passage opening 14 as required.

If the axis 5 is arranged on the side of the friction roller opposite to the thread take-off direction, it is also possible to design the axis 5 as a hollow axis and to use a suction tube 9 bent into it in a U-shape towards the spinning gusset, through which outside air is sucked in. This design makes it possible to draw in a piecing thread brought into the region of the spinning gusset in the direction opposite to the thread take-off direction and to save it until the spinning process starts. The piecing thread is expediently drawn in a position of the closure member 8 in which the suction slot 12 is closed, but the air passage opening 14 remains open.

Of course, a roller having a closed jacket can also be stored in the manner according to the invention in order to create the same storage conditions.
