Abstract

A railroad freight car having a rotatable loading floor for transferring loads between it and a station platform. The railroad station has two platforms on opposite sides of the rail car. An edge of each platform is provided at each longitudinal end with a sloping beam which angles upwardly from the end of the platform towards its center. The lowest part of the beam, which is at the free end of the platform, is below a set of wheels carried on the chassis of the rail car. The center portion of the platform is at a height above that of these rollers. The rollers are arranged to extend laterally of the rail car and to overlie the beams. As the rail car pulls into the station, the rollers will engage the upwardly sloping part of the beams to thereby raise the chassis in relation to its wheels by virtue of extending the suspension as the car continues in its direction of movement. The chassis is, thus, brought into a suitable level to enable the loading floor to freely rotate to overlie the station platform and, thereby, enable the loading and/or unloading operations to take place.

Description

Man erkennt in Fig. 1 den Tiefladewaggon 1 zwischen den Laderampen 2, deren schienenstrangseitige Oberkanten mit den Auflaufschienen 9 versehen sind. Bei Einfahrt des Waggons zwischen die Rampen 2 wird das Chassis mittels vier Rollen, die Ladebühne mittels zweier Rollen auf den Auflaufschienen abgestützt. Die Anordnung der Rollen ist in Fig. 2 erkennbar: Jeweils an bezüglich der Kraftübertragung günstigen Stellen des Chassis' weist dieses die Rollen 3, 5, 6 und 8 auf, während die Ladebühne von nur zwei Rollen 4 und 7 abgestützt wird. Diese letztgenannten befinden sich beidseits der Schwenkachse, um die die Ladebühne ihre Drehung ausführt, so daß die Rollen 4 und 7 bei dieser Schwenkung nicht schleifen, sondern abrollen und die Ladebühne 10 zusätzlich bei der Schwenkbewegung abstützen, für die sie auf einer Vielzahl von Einzelrollen 15 (Fig. 6) abgestützt ist.1 shows the flat-bed wagon 1 between the loading ramps 2, the upper edges of which on the rail track side are provided with the ramp rails 9. Claims (3)

1. System für den Schienentransport von Sattelaufliegern, umfassend - Tiefladewaggons mit einem auf Fahrgestellen federnd abgestützten Chassis, auf dem eine Ladebühne für Sattelauflieger zwischen einer Fahrposition, in der sie mit dem Chassis ausgefluchtet ist, und einer Ladeposition, in der Sattelauflieger seitlich auffahren und abfahren können, drehbar montiert ist, und - beidseits eines Schienenstranges vorgesehene Laderampen, von denen aus eine in Ladeposition befindliche Ladebühne befahrbar ist,
dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß jedes Chassis (1) und jede Ladebühne (10) an ihren Unterseiten mit seitlichen Rollen (3-8) versehen sind, und daß die Laderampen (2) Auflaufschienen (9) aufweisen, auf die die Chassis- und Ladebühnenrollen (3-8) unter Anheben des Chassis und der Ladebühne gegenüber den Fahrgestellen um ein vorgegebenes Maß auflaufen können.
