Description

The invention relates to a prismatic packaged goods container with two headboards forming the end walls, made of wood or fiberboard and edge strips, and a container jacket made of corrugated cardboard or the like attached to the head parts and consisting of one or more parts.

In packaged goods containers of this type known from practice, the edge strips are fastened directly to the outside of the plates of the head parts made of solid wood, plywood or wood fiber pressed material, the edge surfaces of the plates and the side surfaces of the edge strips being aligned. The corrugated cardboard or the like. The container casing formed lies against these aligned surfaces, the casing end faces being arranged in one plane with the outer surfaces of the edge strips, so that these end faces of the container casing remain unprotected by the edge strips. The container jacket made of corrugated cardboard or the like. is connected to the headboards by nails or wire clips. This construction now has several serious disadvantages:
  • By driving in the connecting elements, for example the wire clips, wide-headed nails or the like, the corrugated cardboard outer ceiling of the container jacket is damaged, which on the one hand weakens the connection in the area of the fastening elements, and on the other hand penetrates moisture into the then open container and subsequently reduces it the resilience of the container. In addition, the fasteners in solid wood p slats penetrate parallel to the wood fiber or in plywood panels along the individual layers of wood, so that their durability is reduced from the outset, quite apart from the fact that the whole corrugated cardboard tear out due to the point load in the area of the fasteners can. In addition, the end faces of the container jacket are not
protects, it can get so also moisture can penetrate, can which, combined with the inevitable Trans p ortbeanspru- interruptions lead to a split of the corrugated board into individual Panierlagen and thus to a weiterern container damage or debuff. If wire clips are used to connect the container casing to the edges of the head parts, one leg of which is driven into the plate of the head part and the other leg is driven into the edge strip in question, the thickness of the edge strips must be adapted to the web width of the clips and it is not possible to use thinner edge strips in accordance with the possibly expected lower load, which unnecessarily increases the material requirements and the weight.

Another not insignificant disadvantage can also be seen in the fact that the containers, when they are shipped empty, have a large freight volume and accordingly cause high freight costs. On the other hand, it would be desirable to have a packaged goods container that has sufficient strength and resilience, but can be assembled from a few flat parts by the user himself, without having to use special tools or connecting means, so that he uses only a small volume of freight as empties.

The invention is therefore based on the object of eliminating all the deficiencies mentioned and of creating a packaged goods container of the type described at the outset, which has increased strength with a reduced risk of damage and can be easily assembled from flat individual parts.

The invention solves the problem in that the edge strips are held by at least two spacer plates at a distance corresponding to the thickness of the corrugated cardboard from the wood or wood fiber boards and the container jacket has angled edge tabs that fit into the spaces left free by the spacer plates between the edge strips and the wood or fiberboard of the headboards can be inserted.

Since the edge tabs of the container casing are only inserted into the free spaces between the edge strips and the wood or wood fiber boards of the head parts, the container can be easily assembled or transported in a disassembled state without special tools, whereby it only consists of flat parts the two head parts and the initially flat and only to be angled when assembling, consists of a single or multi-part container jacket. Although in the finished container the edge tabs are only inserted into the gaps between the head parts, there is a solid cohesion, since the edge tabs fill the free spaces between the spacer plates and. when disassembling would have to perform a pivoting, where they are prevented by the tight abutment of the Randla p penkanten on the edges of the spacer plates. Of course, by the absence of nails, staples or other fasteners is reduced packaging weight and facilitates the assembly, the outer cover remains of corrugated material injury un- g t. There is also no weakening in the area of the connection points between the corrugated cardboard forming the container jacket and the head part. Neither are solid wood panels parallel to the fiber or plywood panels along the wood layers penetrating and therefore their durability is reduced. The thickness of the edge strips can be fully adapted to the expected loads, and there is no need for over-dimensioning. Finally, the sensitive open corrugated cardboard face is moved away from the endangered container edges, so that the risk of damage which otherwise arises there is also eliminated. Finally, the marginal ridges are offset up to the outer surface of the container casing and thus provide real edge protection.

In the drawing, the subject matter of the invention is shown in one embodiment, namely show
  • Fi g . 1 a one-piece container casing and a head part before assembly in the diagram,
  • Fig. 2 is a vertical section through the assembled with the container shell head part along the line II-II of Fig. 1 and
  • Fig. 3 shows a corresponding horizontal section along the line III-III of Fig. L.

The packaged goods container according to the invention consists of two head parts 1 forming the end walls, only one of which is shown, and a correspondingly folded container jacket 2. The container jacket does not need to form all four jacket walls in one piece, it can also result, for example, from two or three connected walls Main part and a supplementary part exist, the end section of the main part and supplementary part possibly overlapping. The two head parts 1 are made of a wood or fibreboard 3 and edge strips 4, the edge strips 4 being held by means of spacer plates 5 at a distance from the plate 3 or the like of the thickness of the corrugated cardboard. corresponds to the container casing 2. The container casing 2 has angled edge flaps 6, the left free by the spacer plates 5 interspaces between the slats distance p in length 5 are adjusted. Although constraints have to be overcome when plugging together, the edge tabs 6 do not require any fastening means on the head parts 3, since they just fit between the spacer plates 5. For example, in order to detach the parts of the container casing 2 that form the side walls from the head parts, they would have to be pivoted outward about the lower side edge, but this is prevented by the spacer plates 5. Finally, perfect cohesion is also ensured by the fact that each fully filled packaged goods container is enclosed in the usual way with tensioning straps.
