Description
The present invention relates to an electrical protection switch device provided with separable contacts, automatic tripping means for opening the contacts on fault and on and off push-buttons for manual opening and closing of the contacts.
Known in particular from patent FR-2 448 216 of such switch devices whose housing is generally prismatic in shape and comprises a base and a cover. The on and off pushbuttons are worn relative to the front face of the housing in the depressed position and respectively in the extended position in the operating state of the device and in the extended position and respectively in the depressed position in the off state of the apparatus.
It is known from the prior art (DE-C-808137) to be able to individually lock a device by means of a removable member but the latter having no orifice for the passage of a padlock it can be easily unlocked inadvertently.
Several switch devices are sometimes installed in the same cabinet to constitute a centralized control. It is therefore not easy to record such or such a switching device individually except by placing it in a specific envelope arranged to allow individual locking. This arrangement is bulky and complicated.
The invention as defined in rev.1 aims to avoid these drawbacks using simple means particularly well suited to protective switch devices of the type described.
According to the invention, in such a switching device, the push button on has a through recess which is uncovered in the extended position of said button; a removable member for locking the operating push button is provided for being inserted into the recess of the button parallel to the front face of the device and in front of this face; the removable locking member carries a grip range, a stop element against the button and a range provided with at least one orifice for the passage of a padlock.
The individual locking thus obtained is particularly simple, compact, and when the switch device is of the modular type, suitable for mounting the device in a box window.
In a preferred embodiment, the removable locking member is constituted by a flat monobloc bar of which a square part constitutes the gripping range and the stop element, the other part of the bar carrying three orifices for the passage of padlocks from various trades.
The flat bar and the associated recess of the start button are preferably perpendicular to the front face of the device housing and, when the housing consists of a base and a removable cover, can advantageously be used to avoid disassembly of the cover vis-à-vis the base.
The following description with reference to the accompanying drawings illustrates an example of a non-limiting embodiment of the invention.
Figure 1 shows in perspective a protective circuit breaker for motor or other load according to the invention.
Figures 2 and 3 show in plan the position of the on and off
Figure 4 shows a front elevation of the circuit breaker of Figure 1 with the bar in the locked position.
Figure 5 shows in plan the bar housed in the recess of the start button.

The protection device illustrated in FIG. 1 is a motor protection circuit breaker comprising an
There is provided on the
According to the invention, there is provided a
The arrangement of the
The bar is chamfered at 28 to facilitate its introduction into the through
The device described operates in the following manner. The circuit breaker having been automatically or manually put in the open position of the contacts (FIGS. 1 and 2), the operator who wishes to lock the state of rest of the circuit breaker puts the
The
It goes without saying that it is possible to make modifications to the described device in the field of technical equivalents without departing from the scope of the invention. Thus the removable locking member can be constituted by an elongated member having a thinned part able to pass through a recess of the start button. When the recess is a slot, this can be arranged parallel to the front face of the circuit breaker.
