Abstract

Prefabricated fitting for connecting power cables to electrical installations and suchlike having an insulating body (10) of elastic plastic, which can be used without a metallic housing. The said insulating body (10) has a radial enlargement in the region of the installation-side connection, with a shoulder (14). Two preferably metallic half rings (20, 21) enclose the surrounding surface of the enlargement. The half rings (20, 21) have a flange (22), located at the top on the shoulder (14) and projecting inwards, with an annular surrounding elevated outer edge (24), behind which engage claws or suchlike (36) of a multi-functional mounting device (30) which can be connected to the installation. The elevations (26) provided on the two edge regions of the half rings thus correspond with matching depressions (34) in the mounting device (30) to form a ring closure. <IMAGE>
