Die übliche Ausführungsform besteht nun darin, daß sowohl der Kopfteil als auch der Fußteil am Mittelteil angelenkt sind, wobei sowohl Kopf- als auch Fußteil im wesentlichen parallel zum Mittelteil geklappt werden können. Die Liegen weisen Standbüge1 auf, die als Füße dienen, wobei gleichzeitig ein Einsinken, z.B. bei Verwendung am Strand, od. dgl.. vermieden wird. Zur Erhöhung des Liegekomforts kann das Gelenk, mit welchem der Kopfteil am Mittelteil angelenkt ist, einstellbar,insbesondere einrastbar sein, wodurch für den Benützer jede beliebige Stellung einnehmbar wird. Zur Erhöhung der Stabilität der Liege sowie des Liegekomforts weist insbesondere der Fußteil Füße, insbesondere einen Bügel auf, der, um ein Einknicken zu vermeiden, über die Normallage hinaus verschwenkbar ist.
