Claims (20)

1. Hinge mounting for flat elements pivotable around a hinge axis such as leaves of doors or gates, shutters, box lieds, flap doors and the like,
- with a suspended member fixed on a frame member, post (12) or a wall, acting as a pivot bearing,
- with a bracket arm (2, 7) extending substantially at a right angel to the hinge axis, provided with a screw thread, an a bearing part extending substantially to the hinge axis (4) in the form of a hinge pin (3) or of a bearing eye (8) for the insertion of a wearing bolt (9) as well as a swivelling member (5) of sleeve-shaped design fixed on the pivotable flat element to receive the hinge pin (3) or the swivelling member (10) provided with at least one hole to receive the bearing bolt (9), the bracket arm (2, 7) being arranged on a fixing member (13, 40) pivotable about an axis parallel to the hinge axis (4)
exclusively in pre-assembled condition relative to the frame member, the post (12) or the wall, and fixable in a preferred pivoted position relative to the frame, the post (12) or the wall, said fixing member being able to be screwed into same by means of its screw thread (11),
characterised in that
- the srew thread (11) of the bracket arm (2, 7) engages into an inner thread (18) of a sleeve-like intermediate part (17, 52) which is rotatably mounted in the swivellable fixing member (13, 40) around its longitudinal axis (19) and is fixed in the axial direction against displacement in the fixing member (13, 40), protrudes at its end (22) facing the pivot bearing out of the fixing member (13, 40) and is provided for rotation with a heel (23) for the engagement of a tool or the like,
- the fixing member (13)
- either has a pinger-shaped form, the pincer ends (14) forming between them a substantially circular recess (15) to surround a post (12) of substantially circular cross-section and a bearing portion (16) protruding from the pincer ends (14) contains the intermediate part (17), or,
- is formed as a substantially cylindrical body (40) and is rotatably mounted around its cylindrical axis (50) inside a bearing recess formed on an assembly plate (41) or an assembly fitting (42) provided with a passage opening, particularly through the inner space (48) of a bearing box (47), and the intermediate part (52) rests in a hole (5) of the cylindrical body (40) which hole extends substantially at a right angle to the cylinder axis (50).
2. Hinge mounting according to Claim 1,
characterised in that
the rotational movement of the sleeve-like intermediate part (17) of the fixing memeber (13, 40) can be ascertained.
3. Hinge mounting according to either Claim 1 or Claim 2, characterised in that
the fixing member (13) is substantially centrally divided by a joint (25) extending parallel with the longitudinal direction of the post in such a manner that the intermediate part (17) lies in through-like semi-circular recesses (26) of the locating faces (27) of the joint.
4. Hinge mounting according to Claim 3, characterised in that
the joint (25) in final assembly position opens out towards the post (12) and includes an acute angle (28).
5. Hinge mounting according to either Claim 3 or 4, characterised in that
the halves (13a, 13b) of the fixing member (13) have, in the final assembly positon, a clamping screw (29) passing through them substantially at a right angle to the joint (25).
6. Hinge mounting according to Claim 5, characterised in that
the clamping screw(s) is/are disposed in the transition region of the bearing portion (16) in the pincer region (30) of the fixing member (13).
7. Hinge mounting according to Claims 3 to 6, characterised in that
the joint (25) of the fixing member (13) is covered in the region of its surfaces (31) by guide projections (32) constructed as one piece with one half of the fixing member (13a, 13b).
8. Hinge mounting according to one of the foregoing claims, characterised in that
the fixing member (cylindrical body 40) is rotatably mounted between holding projections on an assembly plate (41) or a pincer like assembly fitting (42) for posts and strips of any cross-sectional shape.
9. Hinge mounting according to one of the foregoing claims, characterised in that
the passage opening (54) extends from one box front side (53) as far as the region of the assembly plate (41) or the assembly fitting (42).
10. Hinge mounting according to Claims 8 or 9, characterised in that
the cylindrical body (40) is substantially centrally divided at right angles to its rotating axes (cylindrical axis 50) an the hole (51) which receives the intermediate part (52) is disposed in the joint region (55).
11. Hinge mounting according to one of the foregoing claims, characterised in that
the bearing box (47) is provided on its rear side (56) facing the wall with an outwardly protruding connection flange (57).
12. Hinge mounting according to one of the foregoing claims, characterised in that
the bearing box (47) passes through a holding recess (58) of the assembly plate and the connection flange (57) is situated in a flange recess (59) substantially surrounding the holding recess (58) on the rear side (60) of the assembly plate (41) facing the wall or the post.
13. Hinge mounting according to one of the foregoing claims, characterised in that
the bearing box (47) is provided on its rear side (56) with a separate cover plate (61) onto the inner side (62) of which the cylindrical body (40) applies.
14. Hinge mounting according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that
the fixing member (cylindrical body 40) is fixed between two bearing plates protruding from the assembly plate (41) or the assembly fitting (42) and is fixed thereinto by means of pivot pine or a bolt passing therethrough.
15. Hinge mounting according to one of the foregoing claims, characterised in that
the intermediate part (17, 52) is provided with an edge projection (20) which engages into a groove (21) of the fixing member (13,40).
16. Hinge mounting according to one of the foregoing claims, characterised in that
between the bearing element fixed on the swivellable surface part (door leaf, gate leaf, etc.) and the hinge pin or bearing eye there is provided a pivoting point offset compensating piece (70) swivellable with the surface part and adjustable in length which consists essentially in a threaded rod (71) and end mountings (72, 73), the first end mounting (72) being rotatably mounted on the hinge pin (3) or on/in the bearing eye (8), and the second and mounting (73) engaging and being fixed on the bearing element (swivellable part 5, 10) of the surface part (door leaf, gate leaf, etc.) at a constant angular position
17. Hinge mounting according to Claim 16, characterised in that
the threaded rod (71) is provided, for distance optimizing of the end mountings (72, 73) when the surface part has been hung (door leaf, gate leaf, etc), with, running mutually contrariwise, two threads (76, 77) and a recess (78) for the engagement of a tool intended for rotation.
18. Hinge mounting according to one of the preceding claims 16 or 17, characterised in that the second end mounting (73) overlaps the sleev-like bearing element (swivellable member 5) fixed on the surface part (door leaf, gate leaf, etc.) and is fixed thereonto at a constant angel by means of a tension bolt (79) passing through the hole of the bearing element (swivelling member 5, 10).
19. Hinge mounting according to Claim 18, characterised in that
the threaded rod (71) passes through the end mountings (72, 73) substantially at right angles to the longitudinal axes of the recesses for the hinge pin or the tension bolt.
20. Hinge mounting according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that
the bracket arm (2, 7) and/or the threaded rod (71) are provided with a swivel joint.
