Ein Zündholz dieser Art ist bekannt. Ziel ist, beim Abbrennen des Zündholzes Duftstoff freizusetzen und damit in der Luft befindliche unangenehme Geruchstoffe organoleptisch zu verändern, d.h. auf diese so einzuwirken, dass der störende Geruch nicht mehr empfunden wird. Bei dem bekannten Duftzündholz ist ein Abschnitt am Zündkopfende des Zündholzstäbchens mit Duftstoffen getränkt. Wie sich aber in der Praxis gezeigt hat, wird beim Abbrennen des Zündholzes nur ein Teil des Duftstoffes freigesetzt, der dann in nächster Umgebung der Flamme verbrennt und somit nicht mehr wirksam ist. Hinzu kommt, dass bei längerer Lagerung solcher Duftstoffhölzchen der Duftstoff aufgrund der Poren im Holz des Zündholzstäbchens wie durch einen Docht im Holzstäbchen verteilt und hieraus allmählich freigegeben wird und vorzeitig entweicht. Dadurch kann das Zündholz bei Gebrauch vollkommen unwirksam werden.A match of this kind is known. Ein Aufsaugen des vorzugsweise flüssig im Adsorbens eingebetteten Duftstoffes und/oder Desodorants durch das Holz des Zündholzstäbchens kann daher nicht erfolgen. Die Zündmasse der zweiten Schicht bedeckt die erste Schicht und verhindert auch ein vorzeitiges Entweichen von Duftstoff und/oder Desodorant.
