Colour picture tube comprising a face plate (1) and a cone with a neck, with an electron gun system disposed inside the neck and the inner surface of the face plate coated with a layer of phosphor, and with a shadow mask (2) mounted in the proximity of the face plate, on which shadow mask (2) there are mounted two-part holding members (6) which each have at their free ends a hole into which pins (5) provided in the face plate (1) engage and which are retained at the pins (5) with the aid of locking springs, characterized in that, between the two parts (6a, 6b) of the holding members (6) , guiding means (11, 12, 13, 15, 16, 17) are provided which permit a movement of the two parts (6a, 6b) of the holding members (6) in relation to each other in a plane which is common to the two parts (6a, 6b) and perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the colour picture tube.
2. A colour picture tube as claimed in Claim 1, characterized in that the two parts (6a, 6b) of each holding member (6) overlap each other and, within the overlapping range, are joined to one another with the aid of a swivel joint (11).
3. A colour picture tube as claimed in Claim 2, characterized in that the swivel joint consists of a tubular rivet (11).
4. A colour picture tube as claimed in Claim 3, characterized in that the first part (6a) of the holding member (6) comprises two shoulders (13) which are each provided with a guide flap (12) extending around the end of the second part (6b).

A colour picture tube as claimed in Claim 2, characterized in that the swivel joint consists of a guide flap (15) at the rim portion of the first part (6a) which extends around the second part (6b), and that opposite this guide flap (15), at the end of the first part.(6a), two further guide flaps (12) are provided which extend around the end of the second part (6b).
6. A colour picture tube as claimed in Claim 1, characterized in that the two parts (6a, 6b) of the holding members (6) are joined to one another via a straight line motion device.
7. A colour picture tube as claimed in Claim 6, characterized in that the first part (6a) embraces the second part (6b) with four guide flaps (12,17) in such a way that in each case two side flaps (12 or 17) lie on a connecting line which is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the holding members (6), with the two connecting lines running parallel to one another.
8. A colour picture tube as claimed in Claim 2, 3 or 6, comprising a frameless shadow mask, characterized in that the part (6b) mounted on the shadow mask (2) simultaneously serves as a corner reinforcement (18) for the shadow mask.
