Description

The invention relates to a color picture tube according to the preamble of claim 1.

Such a color picture tube is known from DE-OS 33 37 825. In this color picture tube, the pins for holding the shadow mask are arranged approximately in the middle of each side wall of the screen trough. Each pin has a cylindrical base and ends in a frusto-conical tip. Approximately in the middle of each side on a frame carrying the shadow mask, the retaining springs are attached, in the free ends of which holes are provided, so that the ends can rest on the frustoconical tips. On at least one retaining spring, a spacer element is provided at its free end, which sits with its opening on the tip of the pin in order to achieve a firm fit.

The invention has for its object to provide a color picture tube with a simple suspension of its shadow mask, which allows easy insertion and removal of the shadow mask during the manufacture of the color picture tube and which is held by external forces on the pins.

This object is achieved with the means mentioned in claim 1. Advantageous embodiments are contained in claims 2 to 4.

  • Fig. 1 die Draufsicht auf eine Schirmwanne mit einer eingesetzten Schattenmaske;
  • Fig. 2 die Draufsicht auf eine Ecke der Schirmwanne mit der eingesetzten Schattenmaske;
The invention is explained in more detail using an exemplary embodiment shown in the figures. Show it:
  • Figure 1 is a plan view of an umbrella pan with a shadow mask inserted.
  • 2 shows the top view of a corner of the screen trough with the shadow mask inserted;
  • Fig. 3 shows a section along the line 111/111 in Fig. 2 and
  • 4a to 4f schematically six other options for the mounting locations of the retaining springs.

In Fig. 1 only the screen trough 1 with the shadow mask 2 is shown from a conventional color picture tube. The x-axis, the y-axis and the diagonals D1 and D2 are shown in this representation. The axis of symmetry of the color picture tube is perpendicular to the plane of the drawing at the intersection of the x-axis with the y-axis. The screen trough 1 carries the luminescent layer, not shown, on its inside. At the intersection of the diagonals D1 and D2 with the side walls 4 of the screen trough 1, pins 5 are arranged which support the shadow mask 2 via retaining springs 6. The retaining springs 6 are attached to the edge 7 of the shadow mask 2 near its corners.

An auxiliary angle 8 is welded onto the edge 7 of the shadow mask 2 to reinforce the corner. At the right end of the auxiliary bracket 8, a bimetallic part 9 is fastened, with which one end of the retaining spring 6 is welded. The retaining spring 6 extends approximately parallel to the edge 7 of the shadow mask 2 and its other free end extends into the corner of the shield trough 1. In the corner of the shield trough 1, the pin 5 is embedded in the side wall 4, the free end 10 of which is spherical . The free end of the retaining spring 6 is bent such that its surface is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the pin 5. The longitudinal axis of the pin 5 also forms the diagonal D1. In the free end of the retaining spring 6, a hole is provided with which the retaining spring encompasses the spherical end 10 of the pin 5.

The small width of the retaining springs 6 can be seen from this figure. The retaining springs 6 can spring in two planes, tangentially and like a torsion bar. The resulting movements of the retaining springs are made possible by the spherical ends 10 of the pins 5 and no forces occur which would lift the retaining springs from the pins. For this reason, it is not necessary to provide a position lock for the retaining springs. Automated insertion and removal of the shadow mask is also possible thanks to the special design of the pins and retaining springs.

In FIGS. 4a to 4f only the shadow mask 2, the retaining springs 6 and the pins 5 are shown schematically. In Fig. 4a two retaining springs 6 are attached to the opposite narrow sides of the shadow mask 2. In Fig. 4b it is shown that two retaining springs 6 are attached to the opposite long sides of the shadow mask 2. In Fig. 4c, a retaining spring 6 are arranged on the narrow sides and two retaining springs 6 on the lower long side of the shadow mask 2. 4d, two retaining springs 6 are provided on the left narrow side and one retaining spring 6 each on the long sides of the shadow mask 2.

In Fig. 4e it is shown that on the upper long side there are two retaining springs 6 and one retaining spring 6 each on the right narrow side and on the lower long side of the shadow mask 2. The fastening locations shown in FIG. 4f, in which two retaining springs 6 are arranged on the right narrow side and one retaining spring 6 each on the left narrow side and on the lower long side of the shadow mask 2, are possible.
