Eine Überdosierung des Schlammes mit Flockungsmitteln ist jedoch mit erhöhten Kosten verbunden und daher unwirtschaftlich. Dadurch, daß ferner gemäß der Erfindung das Flockungsmittel-Zuführungsrohr im Schlamm-Zuführungsrohr axial verstellbar und/oder drehbeweglich so gehalten ist, daß seine Austrittsöffnung auf den Bereich zwischen der Prallwand und den mit Abstand davon angeordneten Schlamm-Durchtrittsöffnungen in der Einlaufkammer gerichtet ist, kann sehr vorteilhaft der aus der düsenförmigen Austrittsöffnung des Flockungsmittel-Zuführungsrohres austretende Flockungsmittelstrahl genau auf den im peripheren Bereich der Einlaufkammer befindlichen Schlammfluß gerichtet bzw. eingestellt werden, in dem der Flockungsmittelstrahl tief in den Schlamm eindringt und sich dabei innig mit dem Schlamm vermischt. Dieser Bereich liegt, wie praktische Versuche gezeigt haben, zwischen der Prallwand der Einlaufkammer und den Schlamm-Durchtrittsöffnungen in der Kammer, und zwar dort, wo die Schlammströmung eine starke Umlenkung in entgegengesetzter Richtung zur Einlaufrichtung erfährt. Die in diesem Bereich bereits erfolgte innige Vermischung des Flockungsmittels mit dem Schlamm wird durch die unmittelbar daran anschließende, nochmalige starke Umlenkung und Umwälzung des Schlammes im Bereich der Durchtrittsöffnungen intensiviert. Claims (3)

1. Device for introducing flocculants into the sludge inside the inlet chamber (10) of a centrifuge, consisting of a flocculant feed tube (12) which is passed through the sludge feed tube (7) and projects into the inlet chamber (10) of the centrifuge, said inlet chamber being provided with sludge passage openings (11) in which there is disposed in the inlet chamber (10) at a distance from the mouth of the sludge feed tube (7) a baffle plate (8) running at right angles to the mouth of the sludge feed tube (7), characterised in that the baffle plate (8) is provided with a baffle cone (9) directed centrally towards the mouth of the sludge feed tube (7), and that the flocculant feed tube (12) is held axially displaceable and/or rotatable in the sludge feed tube (7) so that its outlet opening (13) is directed towards the region between the baffle plate (8) and the sludge passage openings (11) disposed at a distance therefrom in the inlet chamber (10).

3. Device according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the flocculant feed tube (12) consists of a flexible or elastic material, in particular rubber.
