The invention relates to a method and a device for stretching tubular goods (1) by means of blown compressed air (9), the feed rate and / or the withdrawal speed of the tubular goods being regulated. In this way, a very uniform stretching of the tubular goods is achieved without impairing the surface.

Description

The invention relates to a method according to the preamble of claim 1 and an apparatus for performing this method.

In order to improve the dimensional stability of textile tubular goods, it is known to stretch the tubular goods in the wet state and then to dry them. This stretching of tubular goods has so far been carried out with the aid of mechanical stretching devices (spreader bars) in which the tubular goods are clamped in the edge area and the width is expanded by gradually moving the two clamping zones apart.

A disadvantage of this known method is above all that the tubular fabric in the immediate vicinity of the pinched edge area is stretched considerably more by the greater tensile forces prevailing here than in the middle area between the pinched zones. The tubular fabric is thus stretched unevenly in this known method, so that no optimal improvement in dimensional stability is achieved.

For another purpose, namely for laying stranded or tubular textile material in wet treatment (such as dyeing, washing, rinsing), it is also known to add air to the tubular fabric inflate, to thereby open the strand and g e - formed pleats to move (EP-A-19101). However, no expansion forces beyond the mere opening of the strand are exerted on the goods.

The invention has for its object to further develop a method of the type mentioned in the preamble of claim 1 that a uniform stretching of the tubular goods is achieved over the entire hose width without a mechanical action affecting the surface of the goods.

This object is achieved by the characterizing features of claim 1.

In the method according to the invention, the tubular goods are introduced into the stretch zone with lead. Due to a higher feed speed compared to the take-off speed, more tubular goods are thus introduced into the stretch zone than are drawn off from this. Compressed air (in sufficient quantity and with sufficient pressure) is also injected into the tubular fabric in the expansion zone, the tubular fabric being sealed against air leakage at the beginning and at the end of the expansion zone.

In the experiments on which the invention is based, it has now been found that the The extent of the elongation of the tubular goods can be influenced very delicately and precisely by regulating the feed speed and / or the take-off speed. If the width of the tubular goods is measured after the stretching zone, it can be achieved by regulating the feed and / or take-off speed that the tubular goods are stretched exactly to the desired width. In contrast to the previously known mechanical stretching methods, the pneumatic stretching method according to the invention achieves an absolutely uniform stretching of the tubular goods over the entire width, since the same stretching forces act on all circumferential points and no zones of the tubular goods are pinched.

Appropriate embodiments of the invention are the subject of the dependent claims and are described in connection with the explanation of an exemplary embodiment illustrated in the drawing.

The device shown schematically serves for stretching tubular goods 1 in a stretching zone 2, the beginning and end of which are delimited by a pair of rollers 3, 4 and 5, respectively. In each case one roller of each pair of rollers, namely the roller 4 or 6 is driven. The roller 4 of the pair of rollers provided at the beginning of the expansion zone can also be regulated.

The rollers 3 and 4 are arranged in a liquid trough 7, preferably filled with water, into which the tubular material 1 is introduced via a deflection roller 8.

In order to inject compressed air into the tubular fabric 1, a nozzle element 9, which bears on the outside of the tubular fabric 1, is provided at the beginning of the expansion zone 2 and is pressurized with compressed air by a pump 10 and contains at least one (not shown) nozzle opening. The nozzle element 9 can either be arranged stationary or run loose with the tubular goods. In the latter case, the nozzle openings of the nozzle element 9 which are not covered by the tubular material 1 can either be sealed by a fixed seal or can remain open (if a certain loss of compressed air is accepted).

At a distance from the rollers 5 and 6 arranged at the end of the expansion zone, two guide rollers 11, 12 are arranged, which cause the inflated tubular fabric 1 to enter the roller pair 5, 6 with a defined, not too large opening angle. This prevents the formation of wrinkles in the tubular fabric 1 when passing through the pair of rollers 5, 6.

Nach Verlassen der Dehnungszone 2 passiert die Schlauchware 1 beispielsweise eine Haspel 13.After leaving the expansion zone 2, the tubular goods 1 pass through a reel 13, for example.

Between the pair of rollers 5, 6 and the reel 13, the tubular fabric 1 is guided flatly (flat) and passes through a measuring device 14 which measures the width of the tubular fabric 1, which is now stretched out in the expansion zone 2 and is now double-layered.

The method according to the invention can be carried out with the device shown, for example, in such a way that the roller 6, which pulls the tubular fabric 1 out of the expansion zone 2, is driven at a fixed speed, so that the tubular fabric leaves the expansion zone at a predetermined take-off speed. In contrast, the roller 4 provided at the beginning of the stretching zone 2 is driven at such a speed as a function of the signal from the measuring device 14 that the tubular fabric 1 runs into the stretching zone 2 at a higher feed speed than the take-off speed. If compressed air is also injected into the tubular fabric 1 in sufficient quantity and with sufficient pressure via the nozzle element 9, the degree of expansion of the tubular fabric 1 occurring in the expansion zone 2 can be adjusted very delicately and precisely (as well as completely) by regulating the drive speed of the roller 4 low response delay). If the feed rate is increased, the elongation increases and vice versa. The liquid applied to the tubular goods 1 in the liquid trough 7 seals in the expansion zone 2 the interior of the tubular goods 1 against air leakage. At the beginning and at the end of the expansion zone 2, the rollers 3, 4 and 5, 6 also effect the required sealing of the expansion zone.

The following example serves to further explain the invention:
  • A fine-knit cotton fabric knitted in a tube is processed as a raw material with a tube width of 36 cm. The desired hose width of the finished product is 30 cm.

The goods are treated in a bleaching plant, then rinsed and are then in a tube width of 25 cm due to their longitudinal expansion.

This product 1 runs at 20 m / min into the joint formed by the rollers 3 and 4. The liquor level in the trough 7 is chosen so that the goods emerging from the joint can in turn be fully wetted with water.

The pump 10 feeds air with a pressure of approx. 1000 mm WS through a fixed pipe, which is provided with a bore of 3 mm, into the wet, liquid-covered hose. This will fill the hose with air. The rollers 11 and 12 ensure that the hose reaches the joint formed by the rollers 5 and 6 without warping. That from reels 5 and 6 formed pair of rollers runs at a speed of 17 m / min. This results in a speed difference of 15% between the two pairs of rollers.

The goods are squeezed sharply between the rollers 5 and 6 so that they have a minimal water content, for example 70%. The goods pass the measuring device 14 with a hose width of 31 cm. During the subsequent drying, the length and width of the goods shrink slightly, so that the desired final width of 30 cm is reached and the length of the goods has low residual shrinkage values.
