Definitions
- the invention relates to a device according to the features contained in the preamble of claim 1.
- a device of this type and purpose is described and shown in DE-OS 28 43 551.
- the existing foot switch in the known type is depressed by the operator of the sail board if necessary to release a locking of the mast foot holder in the guide channel in order to be able to adapt the longitudinal position of the sail mast to the local conditions. It is also known to use the foot switch to release a lock between the mast foot and the mast foot holder in order to be able to remove the mast foot from the mast foot holder.
- the locking takes place automatically after the foot switch is released, for example by spring pressure, the foot switch straightening up again into its actuating position.
- this actuation position it protrudes a considerable amount from the top of the sail board, and it not only forms a tripping edge, but also the risk of an unintentional triggering of the foot switch and thus a release of the lock cannot be excluded. This can result in considerable dangers for the operator of the sail board.
- the invention has for its object to design a device of the type and intended use so that the footswitch does not form a tripping edge in the locking position of the locking element which can be actuated by it, and inadvertent triggering of the footswitch is excluded.
- the main advantage of the embodiment according to the invention is that the foot switch can be sunk in the locking position of the locking element which can be actuated by it in the top of the sail board or of the component receiving the foot switch. In this position, the footswitch does not form a stumbling edge for the operator standing directly next to the footswitch on the sailboard, and it is also not possible for the footswitch to be depressed unintentionally and the locking mechanism to be inadvertently released, precisely because the footswitch is recessed.
- the configuration according to the invention thus provides two essential advantages. Unintentional triggering could also be achieved by the foot switch being locked in its actuated position. With such a measure, however, the footswitch would still form a stumbling edge which impedes the operator standing on the sailboard while sailing.
- the embodiment according to claim 3 is particularly advantageous when a foot switch is used, which according to claim 4 is acted upon by a spring force in its non-lowered actuation position. In the presence of a corresponding spring it is achieved that the foot switch remains in its rest position.
- this further development according to the invention is not only limited to those foot buttons which are acted upon by a previously described spring force, but it is also advantageous in the case of foot buttons which are not preloaded.
- the locking device according to the invention can e.g. prevent the footswitch from snapping due to gravity when the sail board capsizes and in this position can lead to injuries to the operator.
- the embodiment according to claim 6 is recommended for the purpose of using a simple lever principle for actuating the locking element or its linkage.
- the embodiment according to claim 8 enables the coupling part to be actuated favorably for ergonomic reasons in order to pivot it into its coupling or decoupling position.
- the design according to claim 11 is also not only characterized by simplicity, but also enables coupling and uncoupling of the foot switch with the locking element or its linkage both in the retracted rest position and in the non-retracted actuation position of the foot switch.
- the manual actuation of the coupling part for uncoupling is very simple because it only requires the actuating member to be pressed down.
- the spring returns the coupling part to the coupling position. The locking of the foot switch in its retracted rest position is ensured by the positive coupling connection.
- claim 12 is an alternative measure to Ver locking the foot switch in its retracted rest position. This measure consists in moving the foot switch in a slot connection or by means of a swiveling holder longitudinally under a locking projection.
- a longitudinal displacement of the foot switch design is included, in which the bearing point of the foot switch can be pivoted longitudinally by being arranged on an eccentric disk.
- the foot switch is used to lock the mast foot in at least two positions of the guide channel, it is advisable to design the foot switch so that it can be lowered into the existing guide channel. In other cases, a special recess for the foot switch in the sailing board is required (claim 14).
- At least one stop is provided on the foot switch, which limits the pivoting movement of the foot switch.
- the sail board shown only in a detail in FIG. 1 and designated 1 has in its upper area a mast base bracket, generally designated 2, consisting of a mast base bracket 3 in which a mast base pin 4 is inserted in a receptacle 5 and fixed in a manner not shown is.
- the mast foot holder 3 has guide strips 6 and is guided with them between guide surfaces 7 of a rail designated by 8 along the sail board 1.
- a bar 9 is fastened with locking points 11, into which a bolt 12 articulated on the mast foot holder is able to engage.
- the bolt 12 is adjustable with the aid of a push rod 13, on which cams 14 are arranged, between a locking position shown and a release position, not shown.
- the mast foot holder 3 In the locking position shown, the mast foot holder 3 is fixed in the longitudinal direction of the sailing board.
- the release position of the latch 12 the mast foot holder 3 can be moved in the guide rail 8 for the purpose of adapting to local conditions and can be locked or locked again.
- the latch 12 is adjusted by means of a foot switch 15, which is shown about a pivot axis 16 supported in the guide rail 8 Actuating position and a rest position sunk into the guide channel 17 of the guide rail 8 is pivotable. In the retracted rest position, the tread surface 18 of the foot switch 15 is in the plane of the upper side 19 of the sailing board 1.
- the foot switch 15 can be coupled or uncoupled in the region of the pivot axis 16 by means of a coupling part 21, which is indicated in the drawing, with a pivot arm 22 which can also be pivoted about the pivot axis 16 and which, for example, by means of a displacement along the pivot axis 16 by means of an out-of-round head, a positive connection between the foot key 15 and the swivel arm 22.
- the pivoting movement of the pivot arm 22 is converted into a longitudinal movement of the push rod 13 by means of a driving connection 23.
- the push rod 13 is biased by a compression spring 24 into its left stroke end position, in which a head 25 of the push rod 13 bears against a guide part 26 of the push rod 13.
- the foot switch 15 is also biased into its actuated position shown by the compression spring 24.
- the foot switch 15 can be pivoted into its retracted rest position, the coupling recesses 27 offset in the circumferential direction of the pivot axis 16 providing the possibility of coupling with the swivel arm 22 also in the retracted rest position, whereby the foot switch 15 can be locked in the rest position is.
- the downward movement of the foot switch 15 is limited by a stop 28 fastened to the guide rail 8, which limits both the retracted rest position and the lower pivot end position which can be reached by actuating the foot switch 15 for the purpose of unlocking.
- the second exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 2 differs from the above-described first exemplary embodiment essentially in the shape of the foot switch designated here with 31 and the design and arrangement of the coupling part designated here with 32.
- the foot switch 31 has vertical side walls 33 and an end wall 34 which is curved in a circular arc around the pivot axis 16, as a result of which a risk of jamming between the recess edge surrounding the foot switch 31 and the foot switch 31 is prevented.
- a stop 35 which interacts with stop surfaces of the guide rail 8 and limits the upward movement of the foot switch 31 or defines the actuating position of the foot switch 31 shown in FIG. 2. In the rest position according to Fig. 3 by a stop, not shown, e.g. on the push rod 13 ensures that the foot switch 31 cannot be depressed any deeper than as shown.
- the coupling part 32 is formed by a U-shaped component with a web 36 and two side walls 37, which is received between the side walls 33 of the foot switch 31 and can be pivoted between a coupling position and an uncoupling position about a horizontal pivot axis 38 mounted in the side walls 33.
- the pivotal movement is determined by the length 1 of an elongated hole 39 in the coupling part 32 that the pivot axis 16 of the foot switch 31 is gripped.
- the coupling part 32 is biased by a torsion spring 41 arranged on the pivot axis 16 in the direction of the foot switch 31, ie upwards, into a position in which the pivot axis 16 bears against the lower end of the elongated hole 39 (shown).
- the torsion spring 41 consists of several wick surrounding the pivot axis 16 lungs with two end legs 42, 43, of which the leg 42 is supported on a guide rail fixed stop 44 and the leg 43 presses at a distance a from the pivot axis 38 against the web 36 of the coupling part 32. As a result, a torque is transmitted to the coupling part 32, which is directed in the direction of the arrow 45.
- the coupling part 32 protrudes with an actuating member 46 from the coupling part 32, the upper side 47 of which, in the coupling position of the coupling part 32 shown in FIG. 3, lies in the plane of the upper side 19 of the sailing board 1.
- the coupling of the coupling part 32 with the push rod 13 takes place by means of a pin 48 arranged on the push rod 13, which engages in a U-shaped recess 49 in at least one side wall 34 of the coupling part 32 with play.
- the leg portions 51 of the U-shaped recess 49 are curved in a circular arc around the pivot axis 38 and are connected to one another at their ends facing the pivot axis 16 by a web portion 52 which is curved about the pivot axis 16.
- the function of the foot switch 31 is as follows. In the actuation position of the foot switch 31 shown in FIG. 2, the push rod 13 is in its locking position A, ie the locking associated with the mast foot holder 2 in FIG. 1 is in the locking position. By pressing the actuating member 46 down into the decoupling position shown in dash-dotted lines, the web section 52, which represents a free passage, reaches the region of the pin 48, so the thrust is at unchanged locking position rod 13 the foot switch 41 can be pivoted into its rest position according to FIG. 3, the torsion spring 31 automatically pivoting the coupling part 32 back into the coupling position after releasing the actuating member 46, as shown in FIG. 3.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a device according to the features contained in the preamble of claim 1.
A device of this type and purpose is described and shown in DE-OS 28 43 551. The existing foot switch in the known type is depressed by the operator of the sail board if necessary to release a locking of the mast foot holder in the guide channel in order to be able to adapt the longitudinal position of the sail mast to the local conditions. It is also known to use the foot switch to release a lock between the mast foot and the mast foot holder in order to be able to remove the mast foot from the mast foot holder.
In the cases described above, the locking takes place automatically after the foot switch is released, for example by spring pressure, the foot switch straightening up again into its actuating position. In this actuation position, it protrudes a considerable amount from the top of the sail board, and it not only forms a tripping edge, but also the risk of an unintentional triggering of the foot switch and thus a release of the lock cannot be excluded. This can result in considerable dangers for the operator of the sail board.
The invention has for its object to design a device of the type and intended use so that the footswitch does not form a tripping edge in the locking position of the locking element which can be actuated by it, and inadvertent triggering of the footswitch is excluded.
This object is achieved by the features specified in claim 1.
The main advantage of the embodiment according to the invention is that the foot switch can be sunk in the locking position of the locking element which can be actuated by it in the top of the sail board or of the component receiving the foot switch. In this position, the footswitch does not form a stumbling edge for the operator standing directly next to the footswitch on the sailboard, and it is also not possible for the footswitch to be depressed unintentionally and the locking mechanism to be inadvertently released, precisely because the footswitch is recessed. The configuration according to the invention thus provides two essential advantages. Unintentional triggering could also be achieved by the foot switch being locked in its actuated position. With such a measure, however, the footswitch would still form a stumbling edge which impedes the operator standing on the sailboard while sailing.
In particular with foot switches with a larger surface area, it can be advantageous to limit the downward movement of the foot switch in the retracted rest position by means of a stop or the like. This can be done by one Specially the stop assigned to the foot switch or also by a stop in the locking linkage (claim 2).
The embodiment according to claim 3 is particularly advantageous when a foot switch is used, which according to claim 4 is acted upon by a spring force in its non-lowered actuation position. In the presence of a corresponding spring it is achieved that the foot switch remains in its rest position. However, this further development according to the invention is not only limited to those foot buttons which are acted upon by a previously described spring force, but it is also advantageous in the case of foot buttons which are not preloaded. In the case of such foot switches, the locking device according to the invention can e.g. prevent the footswitch from snapping due to gravity when the sail board capsizes and in this position can lead to injuries to the operator.
In order to be able to lower the footswitch in the locking position of the locking element which can be actuated by it, a non-positive or positive coupling between the footswitch and the locking element or its linkage is required. Eire such a clutch is the subject of
The embodiment according to
In
The embodiment according to
The measures contained in claim 9 lead to a compact design, the elongated hole simultaneously limiting the pivoting movement of the coupling part. Special stops to limit this pivoting movement are therefore not necessary.
The design according to claim 11 is also not only characterized by simplicity, but also enables coupling and uncoupling of the foot switch with the locking element or its linkage both in the retracted rest position and in the non-retracted actuation position of the foot switch. The manual actuation of the coupling part for uncoupling is very simple because it only requires the actuating member to be pressed down. The spring returns the coupling part to the coupling position. The locking of the foot switch in its retracted rest position is ensured by the positive coupling connection.
In
In anderen Fällen bedarf es einer besonderen Ausnehmung für die Fußtaste im Segelbrett (Anspruch 14).In an embodiment in which the foot switch is used to lock the mast foot in at least two positions of the guide channel, it is advisable to design the foot switch so that it can be lowered into the existing guide channel. In other cases, a special recess for the foot switch in the sailing board is required (claim 14).
Due to the configuration according to
According to

- Fig. 4 shows a third embodiment of the foot switch.
The sail board shown only in a detail in FIG. 1 and designated 1 has in its upper area a mast base bracket, generally designated 2, consisting of a mast base bracket 3 in which a mast base pin 4 is inserted in a
The
The second exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 2 differs from the above-described first exemplary embodiment essentially in the shape of the foot switch designated here with 31 and the design and arrangement of the coupling part designated here with 32. The
On the side facing away from the
The coupling of the
The function of the
If the
In the third exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 4, there is no releasable coupling between the footswitch designated here 55 and the
To unlock the mast foot holder 2 (FIG. 1), the
To set the rest position, the
