Description

The invention relates to a railroad car with heating or air conditioning, at least one compartment and a basic air duct running under the window of the compartment for supplying heated or air-conditioned basic air to the compartment, which has its own post-heating system, which has at least one connection opening from the basic air duct escaping air flows through and has outlets that cooperate with outflow openings in the compartment arranged under the seats or in the area of the lower window edge, the post-heating system together with the basic air duct being spaced apart by a cover which also contains the duct for air guidance to the outflow openings in the area of the lower window edge is covered, which has recirculation openings in the area between the seats below the seat height, which, together with outlets of the reheating system, open into a channel leading to the outflow openings in the area of the lower window edge, and the outflow openings in this cover are arranged under the seats.

Such an arrangement has become known, for example, from AT-A-334.417 in connection with a deflection flap which determines the air distribution and whose position is dependent on the air temperature. The primary advantage of this arrangement is that the temperature or the flow rate of the basic air can be regulated to a certain pilot value for the entire railroad car by means of rather simple control devices, the individual compartment climate, which is particularly dependent on the occupancy of the passengers, being appropriately reheated without any effect on the others Compartments can be set. A disadvantage of the known arrangement is that the readjustment of the temperature depends on the cross section of the various through-flow openings and the given pressure differences and is therefore limited in speed, so that a comfortable climate may only be established relatively late.

The object of the invention is therefore to achieve the greatest possible rapid and large air throughput while optimally utilizing the existing flow cross-sections in order to achieve the desired air temperature as quickly as possible.

This is achieved according to the invention in that the outflow openings are blown directly behind the nozzle-shaped outlets of the post-heating system, and in that additional recirculating air return openings are arranged directly below the seats and are formed by the outflow openings which are larger than the outlets, with a vacuum area on the outer edge increasing the size trained outflow openings is created.

Since - as already mentioned at the beginning - only a part of the air supplied to each compartment via the basic air duct flows through the post-heating system, this can be made smaller and with a lower output; Any associated slight reduction in the response speed when the temperature changes in the compartment is required or becomes necessary when the degree of occupancy changes. This can easily be compensated for by blowing out the reheated air that finally causes the compartment-specific change in places that provide a direct or faster perception by the traveler ensure - especially in the area of the compartment near the floor.

The arrangement of the post-heating system together with the basic air duct within a cover which also serves to guide air to the outflow openings on the lower edge of the window, as well as the provision of recirculated air return openings in the area between the seats in this cover per se from AT-A-334.417 is known - as well as by the design and arrangement of the outflow openings under the seats and the additional return flow openings under the seats, there is the essential advantage that the return of compartment air is ensured essentially over the entire width of the compartment and also in the foot area under the seats can contribute to this, especially in the area under the seats, the nozzle-shaped outlets of the post-heating system. Through this arrangement of the nozzle-shaped outlets of the after-heating system below the seats, together with the enlarged discharge openings provided there, a vacuum area promoting the rapid air pressure set is created on the outer edge of the enlarged discharge openings, through the compartment air into the inside of the cover and from there after mixing the outflowing air from the post-heating system is led to the corresponding outflow openings.

The invention is explained below with reference to the embodiment shown in the drawing.

  • Fig. 3 zeigt einen teilweise schematisch dargestellten Schnitt entlang der Linie 111-111 in Fig. 1 in vergrößertem Maßstab undFig. 3 shows a partially schematically shown section along the line 111-111 in Fig. 1 on an enlarged scale and
  • Fig. 4 zeigt einen teilweise schematisch dargestellten Schnitt entlang der Linie IV-IV in Fig. 1 - wiederum in vergrößertem Maßstab.Fig. 4 shows a partially schematic section along the line IV-IV in Fig. 1 - again on an enlarged scale.

A railroad car - of which only the area of a compartment 1 is shown - is provided with an air conditioning or heating system, not shown, which supplies heated or air-conditioned basic air to compartment 1 via a basic air duct 2. In compartment 1 or in any such A separate after-heating system 3 is provided in the compartment, through which air emerging from the basic air duct 2 flows through connection openings 4 and in turn has outlets 5, 5 ′ which cooperate with outflow openings 6, 7, 8 in the compartment 1.

The air supplied in the basic air duct 2 is regulated by the air conditioning or heating system, not shown, in cooperation with its control with regard to the temperature and possibly also the air volume to a pilot value, which takes into account the external climatic conditions and, under certain circumstances, also the occupation conditions in a pilot compartment. The post-heating system 3, which enables additional heating of the preheated or pre-air-conditioned basic air, is used for individual readjustment in each individual compartment. For this purpose, in the exemplary embodiment shown, a housing 10 is placed on the basic air duct 2 provided with insulating walls 9, the interior of which houses the actual reheating element 11 and is connected to the basic air duct 2 via the connection opening 4. The insulating walls 9 can consist, for example, of sheet metal walls with cork cladding; the housing 10 can be designed as a screwed or riveted sheet metal part.

The basic air duct 2 has - as can be seen in particular from FIG. 4 - in addition to the connection opening 4 to the after-heating system 3, at least one separate outlet opening 12 which, bypassing the after-heating system 3, connects to the outflow opening 8 provided in the region of the upper window edge via an air duct 13 stands. In the exemplary embodiment shown, the air duct 13 is integrated into the outer wall 14 of the car, but it would also be possible to attach the air channel 13 to the inside of the outer wall 14 of the car. The outflow opening 8 can, for example, extend between two air channels 13 drawn upwards on both sides of the window edges 15 over the entire area of the upper edge of the window, which enables outflow at a low speed and avoids any annoyance to the travelers.

The basic air duct 2 running under the window 16 in the floor area thus supplies basic air via the air ducts 13 to the outflow opening 8 at the top, the temperature of this basic air permitting the heating or air conditioning required if the average compartment occupancy is assumed. The blow-out of reheated air required for changing the individual compartment climate takes place on the one hand at the outflow openings 6 under the seats 17 and on the other hand at the outflow opening 7 in the region of the lower window edge.

The outflow openings 6 under the seats 17 are formed in a cover 18 of the basic air duct 2, which at the same time also serves for guiding compartment air and covers the basic air duct 2 together with the reheating system 3 attached at a distance. The outflow openings 6 are directly blown through by the behind, nozzle-shaped outlets 5 of the after-heating system 3, whereby - as can be seen in particular in FIG. 4 - a larger cross-section at the edge of the outflow openings 6 remains free due to the enlarged outlet openings 6 compared to the outlets 5, which consequently remains free of the underpressure which forms there when post-heated air emerges from the post-heating system 3 acts as a return flow opening for compartment air into the interior of the cover 18. FIGS. 1 and 3 show further backflow openings 19 in the area under the windows in the cover 18, which likewise allow compartment air to enter the inside of the cover 18. The compartment circulating air supplied via the return flow openings on the edge of the outflow opening 6 on the one hand and 19 on the other hand is mixed in the region of the outlets 5 ′ (FIG. 3) directed towards the outflow opening 7 with post-heated air emerging from the after-heating system 3 and blown out via the outflow opening 7 at the bottom edge of the window . This means that the critical window area is provided with an increased amount of heated air, especially when the outside temperature is low and when it is in heating mode, which increases travel comfort.

For the sake of completeness it should also be mentioned that in FIG. 1 also folding tables 20, a waste container 21 and parts of the adjustment mechanism 22 for the seats 17 are shown; these parts are omitted in the other figures for the sake of simplicity.
