In der Praxis werden oft Steckverbindungen zwischen Meßwertgebern und ihren Zuleitungskabeln benötigt, die hohen Temperaturen (z.B. 180 °C), hohen Drucken (z.B. 7 bar), Dampfeinwirkungen, Bestrahlungen und mechanischen Erschütterungen standhalten müssen. Die Steckverbindung besteht aus einem Stecker (1), der über ein metallisches Formteil (7) mittels Einrollungen (12) mit dem Zuleitungskabel (8) druckfest und zugentlastet verbunden ist, und einem Gegenstecker (2), an den beispielsweise ein Schutzrohr (10) mit einem Meßeinsatz (11) angebracht ist. Der Gegenstecker (2) trägt eine Verschraubungsaufnahme (3), die in diesem Fall an das Schutzrohr (10) angeschweißt ist. Die Überwurfmutter (4) presst einen metallischen Klemmring (6) mit keilförmigen Querschnitt und einem metallischen Klemmring (5) mit trapezförmigen Querschnitt in den konischen Einlauf der Verschraubungsaufnahme (3), in die auch das metallische Formteil (7) hineinragt. Diese Art der Verschraubung hat den Vorteil, daß die Drehbewegung der Überwurfmutter (4) in eine axiale Bewegung verwandelt wird, indem der Klemmring (5) das Drehmoment aufnimmt und nicht an den keilförmigen Klemmring (6) weitergibt.
