a worm-like hair-shaping guide (3) embodied by a spiral wall (1); means connected to the guide (3) and adapted to produce an air flow therein; a hair entry aperture (9, 12) which extends into the guide (3) and which is disposed at or near the start of the guide as referred to the flow direction; and means for heating the air flow in the guide, characterized in that the spiral wall (1) itself is operative as the electric heating element to embody the heating means.
2. A device according to claim 1, characterised in that the wall (1) is embodied by a rectangular- section metal tube in which the electric heating wires are embedded in insulated manner.
3. A device according to claim 1, characterized in that the wall (1) is embodied directly as an electrical conductor.
4. A device according to claim 1 or 2 or 3, characterised in that the means for producing the air flow take the form of suction means disposed at the end of the guide (3) and the hair entry aperture is the start (9) of the guide (3).
