Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a cleaning tool for picking up dirt from a floor surface, which can be moved back and forth by means of a guide rod articulated on its housing and has a brush roller driven by the reciprocating movement and has dirt collecting spaces arranged on both longitudinal sides of the brush roller, in which the brush roller is located thrown up dirt particles are caught.
Such cleaning tools are generally known in cleaning devices on the market. From time to time, the dirt accumulated in the dirt collecting spaces must be removed from these cleaning tools. This is relatively cumbersome and, above all, unsanitary, since the dirt that has accumulated must be emptied freely into a waste container.
The invention has for its object to provide a cleaning tool of the type described above so that the accumulated dirt can be removed from the dirt collecting spaces in a simple and hygienic manner.
The solution to the problem is achieved according to the invention in that a suction nozzle is articulated to the housing, which can be connected to a suction pipe connected or connectable to a vacuum cleaner, that in addition, suction openings are provided in the bottom of the dirt-collecting spaces, which by themselves under the effect of closing elements generated by the vacuum cleaner opening air flow are covered. To empty the dust collection rooms, the cleaning tool is briefly connected to a vacuum cleaner and thereby the accumulated dirt is sucked out of the dirt collecting spaces. The closure elements are opened by the suction air flow, so that the air flow can sweep through the collecting spaces and sweep away the accumulated dirt.
Such a cleaning tool can also be connected to a vacuum cleaner during the cleaning process itself. In this way, in particular the cleaning effect of less powerful vacuum cleaners can be improved, since dirt which has been loosened by the brush roller but has not been flung up is caught and sucked in by the suction air flow. If only small cleaning processes are to be carried out, the cleaning tool can be used alone without a vacuum cleaner.
So that the dirt present in the collecting rooms cannot fall out unintentionally, the closure elements are automatically brought into the position closing the suction opening when there is no suction air flow. A structurally particularly simple solution for closing the suction opening consists in that flaps which are arranged pivotably are provided as closure elements. It is advantageous that the flaps are pivoted by spring force into the position closing the suction opening.
Characterized in that in each collecting space a cover bar is provided in each collecting space in the vertical direction, the air flow is guided at the suction openings on both sides approximately horizontally into the respective collecting space. This has the advantage that the dirt deposited on the floor of the collecting spaces is whirled up and carried away by the air flow.
For the use of the cleaning tool as a vacuum cleaner mouthpiece, it is particularly advantageous if the suction openings are as wide as the floor extending slots are formed. The dirt can be easily absorbed through such slots.
The subject of the application is described in more detail below using an exemplary embodiment shown in the drawing.
Mittels dieses Saugrohres 3 kann das Reinigungswerkzeug auf der zu reinigenden Bodenfläche hin- und herbewegt werden.1 with the housing of a cleaning tool is designated, on the top of which a suction nozzle 2 is pivotally hinged. A
In the
If the cleaning tool is connected to a vacuum cleaner, then the
Instead of the pivotably arranged
