Description

The invention relates to a heel hold-down device according to the preamble of patent claim 1.

Fig. 3). Such a heel hold-down device is described in DE-OS-2 628 748 (see FIG. 3). In this embodiment, in contrast to the subject matter of the invention, in which the control cam is arranged on the unit consisting of sole hold-down device and step spur, the control cam is provided on the intermediate lever. This intermediate lever also carries at its upper end a release lever which is supported in the travel position of the heel hold-down device on a bolt which runs transversely through the unit. In the event of an arbitrary release of the heel hold-down device, the release lever is depressed, as a result of which the intermediate lever can pivot against the ski boot and the control curve provided on the intermediate lever comes out of engagement with the control member. However, as soon as the end position of the unit is reached, the release lever engages again on the transverse bolt.

In another embodiment (cf. FIG. 5 of DE-OS-2 628 748), the unit consisting of the sole hold-down device and step spur, the intermediate lever and the release lever are mounted on a common axis in the bearing block. The intermediate lever is fixed in the travel position of the heel hold-down device relative to the unit by a ball lock. If an arbitrary release of the heel hold-down device is now to be initiated, the ball of the ball lock is pushed back by the release lever and thus the coupling between the unit and the intermediate lever is released. The unit can then be pivoted freely into the open position.

The two treated embodiments have the disadvantage that when the ski boot gets into the heel hold-down, approximately the work that is required for the involuntary loosening of the binding has to be applied, especially since the friction conditions are the same in both cases and the way around which the already preloaded The detent spring is compressed in the event of an involuntary release, approximately corresponds to the path by which the detent spring is compressed in the travel position when the intermediate lever is moved from the entry position. Climbing into the known heel hold-downs is therefore energy-intensive. In addition, in the known embodiments, the intermediate levers have to be made very solid, since they have to absorb the full force of the detent spring, which brings about an undesirable increase in weight.

The aim of the invention is to eliminate the disadvantages mentioned and to create a heel hold-down device which makes it possible to considerably reduce the work required by the skier for getting in.

Starting from a heel hold-down device according to the preamble of claim 1, this aim is achieved by the features of the characterizing part of this claim.

In the claims 2-6 expedient and useful developments of the subject matter of claim 1 are protected.

In the drawing, two exemplary embodiments of heel hold-down devices according to the invention are shown purely schematically. Fig. 1 is a longitudinal section through a first embodiment in the driving position and Fig. 2 in the boarding position. 3 - 6, a second embodiment is shown in the driving position, during the involuntary triggering process, in the boarding position and during the boarding process. Since this heel hold-down largely corresponds to the first in its construction, only the parts essential for the control are shown here.

The heel hold-down device shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 has a base plate 1 to which a bearing block 2 which is essentially U-shaped in cross section is fastened. In the upper region of the two legs of the bearing block 2, two stub axles 3 are arranged, around which, on the one hand, a spring housing 4 for a detent spring 5, which acts on a pressure member 6, and on the other hand, a unit 9 consisting of a sole hold-down 7 and a step spur 8 can be pivoted independently of one another . In the lower region of the legs of the bearing block 2 there is an axis 10 on which a control lever 11 is rotatably arranged. This is located in the space between the pressure member 6 and the unit 9. At the rear of the unit 9 there is a recess 12 in which an intermediate lever 13, which is designed as an angle lever, is mounted, the legs of which are designated 13a and 13b. The pivot axis 14 of the intermediate lever 13 is located in the lower region of the recess 12. The intermediate lever 13 is under the influence of a spring, not shown, which tends to press one leg 13a of the angle lever 13 against the bottom of the recess 12.

The control lever 11 has on the side facing the unit 9 a control nose 11 a, which in the event of an involuntary triggering of the heel hold-down device, e.g. B. in a frontal fall, slides along the inside of the unit 9. Furthermore, the control lever 11 carries at its upper end a pin 20 which is intended to engage in a locking groove 19 which is recessed at the end of the other leg 13b of the angle lever 13. This locking groove 19 is shown at right angles in the drawing, but it can also have a V-shaped cross section.
