Definitions
- the invention relates to a slicing machine with a machine housing, with a circular knife driven by an electric motor, with an on and off switch for the electric motor and with a cutting material slide that can be pushed back and forth on the machine housing to receive the material to be cut with the rotating circular knife.
- the object is achieved by a switching device which automatically switches off the electric motor when the material sled is at a standstill.
- the slicer 1 shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 which is used primarily for cutting food, in particular meat, sausage, cheese and the like, has a machine housing 2, in which, in a manner known per se, only one in FIG Electric motor 3 indicated by dashed lines is housed.
- the motor 3 drives a rotatably mounted circular knife 4, to which a stop plate 6, which can be adjusted via a rotary knob 5, is assigned in a manner known per se.
- a stop plate 6 By adjusting the stop plate 6, the thickness of the sliced product slices cut off with the circular knife 4 can be adjusted.
- On the machine housing 2 there is a sled 7 in the horizontal plane. sliding back and forth. This carriage serves to support and feed the material to be cut relative to the circular knife 4.
- An attachment 8 arranged on the housing 2 encloses electrical control elements for the slicing machine.
- a main switch 9 and a start switch 10 designed as a pushbutton for switching the electric motor 3 on and off are located on the front of the attachment 8.
- the attachment 8 contains a switching device which switches off the electric motor 3 automatically after a predetermined, possibly adjustable time, when the sled 7 is at a standstill.
- a first embodiment of such a switching device is shown in FIG. 3 in the form of a block diagram.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a slicing machine with a machine housing, with a circular knife driven by an electric motor, with an on and off switch for the electric motor and with a cutting material slide that can be pushed back and forth on the machine housing to receive the material to be cut with the rotating circular knife.
In known machines of this type, the electrical. Motor switched on at the beginning of a cutting process and often not switched off at the end of the cutting process, so that the cutting machine continues to be idle for some time until the next cutting process without being used. As a result, the motor drive of the circular knife is unnecessarily stressed, which leads to excessive heating, particularly in cutting machines with a single-phase capacitor. AC motor, which may require the installation of a larger dimensioned motor, and of course energy is unnecessarily consumed.
In order to avoid inadmissible heating of the electric motor, it is known to install temperature monitors in the motor winding, which switch the motor off when a certain limit temperature is reached. However, this precaution only serves to protect the motor winding against destruction and has the disadvantage that the cutting machine is occasionally only ready for operation again after a certain cooling time.
It is an object of the invention to remedy the shortcomings described and to avoid idle times in a generic slicing machine.
According to the invention, the object is achieved by a switching device which automatically switches off the electric motor when the material sled is at a standstill.

- Fig. 4 is a block diagram of a modified switching device.
Furthermore, the
The
The generated pulse resets the
When the carriage is not moving, i.e. If no material to be cut is cut with the cutting machine and thus no pulses are generated by the
The
During each stroke of the
When the carriage is not moving, i.e. if the slicer is not used and thus no pulses are generated by the
With a new cutting process, the
Also in the case of the embodiment according to FIG. 4, the
