Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a security device intended for monitoring premises in general, and in particular residential premises. More particularly still, this invention relates to the individual protection of premises forming part of a community or of a demarcated complex, for example of all the apartments of the same building or of the same building rise, or even villas which, although they constitute independent constructions, are grouped within a certain perimeter, the expression "surveillance of premises" covering here both the protection of access to the premises themselves as well as the security of property and persons located inside said premises, or even in their annexes or outbuildings.
The alarm systems currently on the market are technically very well studied with regard to security against intrusion into villas, apartments, etc. They usually include a central unit with mains supply and a safety supply, current installations may also include all kinds of detectors: radars, ultrasonic systems, "shock" contacts, opening contacts, etc., as well as sirens of different types. The drawbacks that can be criticized for these installations are due to the fact that, given the multiplication of alarm sirens and frequent nuisance tripping of them, those present in the surroundings hardly take them into account. This indifference is exploited by the criminals and it results in the ineffectiveness of the protection, therefore the non-achievement of the normally targeted result, to which are added the nuisances due to the sound of sirens.
The present invention overcomes these drawbacks by providing a safety device which, while remaining individual, that is to say that it provides separate protection for each room, makes it possible to raise the awareness of the occupants of the other neighboring rooms by entrusting all the responsibility for the security of everyone and thereby making effective the protection of property and people, each becoming in a way the guardian of all and especially of himself, without adding to the current nuisance caused by sirens and avoiding maximum nuisance trips and other disturbances.
To this end, the subject of the invention is essentially a security device for the individual and collective surveillance of premises, in particular of residential premises, forming part of the same set, device allowing in the event of detection of intrusion into a room the triggering of an alarm in all the other rooms of this set, the alarm being emitted in a form making it possible to identify the room where the intrusion took place, the device comprising for this purpose in each room a central surveillance associated with detection means and connected to all the other similar central units placed in the other premises, each central unit comprising audible alarm means such as a buzzer and a series of indicator lights, such as light-emitting diodes, each of which corresponds to a room in the set considered, each unit being further equipped with a call for help system allowing a person to report to the occupants of the loc to which the other control panels are placed and to identify the origin of the call, all the control panels being interconnected, independently of their common electrical supply, by means of an electrical network comprising a common alarm line and a series conductors corresponding to the different premises.
Thanks to such a device, it is obtained that, during an intrusion or an attempted intrusion into a room of which the usual occupant is absent, the detection is carried out in a manner known per se but the triggering order the alarm, in audible and visual form, is transmitted to the central monitoring installations located in all the other premises in the complex. Persons present in these premises, noticing an anomaly and identifying the "visited" premises, may immediately notify the responsible security services by providing them with precise information, so that they can intervene quickly and efficiently. The room in which the intrusion occurred, on the other hand, is sheltered from any warning; the intruder therefore suspects nothing, which contributes to the effectiveness of the device.
The call systems provided in the various rooms, combined with the indicator lights which on each control panel indicate the various rooms, also allow a person assaulted or in difficulty for any reason in a room to make a call for help which is received in all other premises, occu pants of these premises being able to immediately identify the origin of the call for help.
Advantageously, on each control panel, the indicator lights such as light-emitting diodes, each of which corresponds to a room in the set considered, are of two-color type and light up with a first color in the event of intrusion detection in the corresponding room , and of a different color in the event of a call for help from the same room, which makes it possible to easily and immediately distinguish an alarm for intrusion of a call for help, without multiplying the number of indicator lights.
To also ensure security in additional premises or outbuildings, such as garages or cellars of a building, the device can also include in these additional premises or outbuildings at least one receiver connected by relaying means to the rest of the device and sensitive to signals generated by portable transmitters allocated to the occupants of premises equipped with the device. Thus, a person assaulted in a garage or cellar can make a call for help and be identified by the occupants present, in the same way as if they made a call for help from the room such as the apartment they occupy habitually.
The fact that the central units located in the various premises are linked together via a common alarm line as well as by a series of conductors corresponding to the various premises, forming a network distinct from the supply conductors, makes it possible to transmit alarm or call signals, identifying their place of origin, in a direct and simple manner without coding, without the use of carrier frequencies and without the risk of disturbance or nuisance tripping, which constitutes an important advantage of device according to the present invention, going in the direction of greater reliability therefore of enhanced security. An additional improvement can be obtained by providing that all power stations are, in addition. connected to a common line of self-protection.
According to a particular embodiment, the circuits of each central unit comprise, on the one hand, detection circuits connected to an alarm memory in relation to a line amplifier from which the conductors conduct interconnection with the other central units, and on the other hand, an identification circuit which leads to the input conductors and connected to a display interface which controls the lighting of the indicator light corresponding to the room in which an intrusion has been detected, as well as to a sound interface via which the start-up is controlled of the snorer.
It can be envisaged that the stopping of the buzzer is controlled individually, on each control panel, by a switch incorporated in the housing, while the indicator lights, produced in particular in the form of light-emitting diodes each of which corresponds to an apartment, cannot be extinguished before necessary is done at the level of the "visited" apartment. This prevents the buzzer sound signal from being extended to the occupants of the premises where an alarm is signaled by the control panel, while maintaining the appearance of the alarm and the identification of its origin for as long as necessary.
- Figure 1 est une vue d'ensemble très générale de ce dispositif, appliqué à la surveillance des appartements d'un immeuble ;
- Figure 2 représente, plus en détail, quelques centrales de ce dispositif, avec leurs alimentations électriques et leurs interconnexions ;
- Figure 1 is a very general overview of this device, applied to the surveillance of apartments in a building;
- Figure 2 shows, in more detail, some power stations of this device, with their electrical supplies and their interconnections;
- Figure 3 is a block diagram of the circuits and other components of one of the central detection and alarm.
In Figure 1 is shown very schematically a building, or a building rise, comprising twelve numbered apartments (1 to 12). The monitoring device installed in the building includes twelve similar central units (20), each placed in one of the apartments (1 to 12) and being connected to the eleven others by an electrical network designated as a whole by (21) and able to borrow the technical ducts of the building. All the power stations (20) are supplied with electrical energy from the mains by a self-protected common power supply (22).
More particularly, as shown in FIG. 2, the various power stations (20) are supplied with direct current, from of the sector, via a common installation comprising a DC generator with main battery (23) from which two conductors (24,25) respectively "negative" and "positive", to which the conductors d 'respective power supply (26,27) specific to the various plants (20); these are thus all connected in parallel. Each central unit (20) has its power supply from the sector supplemented by a local rechargeable battery (28) giving autonomy of a few hours in the event of a failure of the external power supply.
Each control unit (20), installed in an apartment, appears externally like a box, with on the front: an indicator light (29) indicating the power on, a series of light-emitting diodes (30) each of which corresponds to an apartment identified by its number (1,2,3, etc ...), a switch (31) controlling the stopping of a buzzer (32), another indicator light (33) signaling the stopping of the buzzer (32), and a last indicator light (34) signaling a line break. All these organs are connected to printed circuits grouping the various internal functions, in particular detection circuits indicated as a whole in (35).
The internal circuits of all the central units (20) are connected, by respective conductors (36), to a common alarm line (37), itself connected to a common decoding unit (38) supplied by the two conductors (24.25). The internal circuits of each central unit (20) are further connected, by a conductor (39), to a corresponding conductor (40) belonging to a bundle of conductors in the same number as the apartments, the latter conductors (40) being themselves same connected to the decoding unit (38). On each control unit (20), all the light-emitting diodes (30) are connected to the corresponding conductor (40), except the diode whose number is that of the apartment in which the control unit (20) is placed.
These circuits are completed by a self-protection system, comprising a common self-protection line (41) connected by conductors (42) to all the central units (20), more particularly to the indicator lights (34), and also connected to the decoding unit (38). This unit (3S) therefore provides decoding for both the alarm and the self-protection.
Each apartment is protected, at its base, on its entry door by a "shock" contact inserted in an instantaneous loop (43) and by an opening contact inserted in a timed loop (44), the choice of this type of detectors avoiding nuisance trips as much as possible. As shown in Figure 3, the first loop (43) is connected to a detection circuit (45), and the second loop (44) is connected to another detection circuit (46) followed by a timing circuit ( 47). The outputs of these two detection assemblies are combined at the input of an alarm memory (48), connected to a line amplifier (49) from which the output conductors leave.
The input conductors lead to a decoding circuit (50), allowing the identification of the apartment which is the source of an alarm triggering order. The decoding circuit (50) is connected to a display interface (51), which controls the lighting of the light-emitting diode (30) corresponding to the apartment in which an intrusion or an intrusion attempt has been detected. The decoding circuit (50) is also connected to a sound interface (52), via which the activation of the buzzer (32) is controlled. The sound interface (52) is also connected to a permanent supply line (53), and to this sound interface (52) is also associated a diode circuit (54) allowing the detection of a continuity fault, and thus triggering the audible alarm in the event of a line break.
The apartment can also be protected by a radar or by any other detection system, for example assigned to the protection of exits such as windows.
The previously described security device, which interconnects all the apartments, is also used to also constitute a call system, allowing a person who is in danger or in difficulty in an apartment to report and ask the occupants of all the other apartments for help. For this purpose, each central unit (20) is equipped with an additional "distress" push-button, and to avoid an excessive multiplication of the number of indicator lights, such a call will be recognized and distinguished from an alarm for intrusion and its origin will be identified, using two-color type light-emitting diodes (30), each of these diodes lighting up with a first color in the event of intrusion into the corresponding apartment, and another color in case of a call for help from the same apartment.
The device can be supplemented by means ensuring security of intrusion at the level of the cellars, in the corridors of the latter, as well as in the building garage (s), the additional information corresponding to these functions being also received by the central (20), and possibly visually identified in a distinctive manner by means of personalized indicators. As shown in the lower part of Figure 1, where a garage (P) located under the building is shown schematically, these means may include a short-range signal transmitter (55), of distinctive frequency, assigned to the occupant of each apartment (1 to 12), and several receivers (56) connected by relaying means to the rest of the device, described above. Thus, a person attacked in the garage (P) can immediately, and discreetly, send a signal for emergency assistance which is transmitted via a receiver (56) and is received in the various apartments (1 to 12) and which allows, by the means already described above, the identification of the person making the call.
It goes without saying that the field of application of the invention is not limited to the protection of apartments in a building or of a building rise, but it also encompasses the protection of other types of housing. , in particular villas located within a certain area, or the security of premises for different uses: shops, workshops, warehouses, offices, and more generally all industrial, commercial or administrative premises, belonging to a determined group and can therefore be monitored by people present in other premises of the same complex.
