Claims (2)

1. Waschmaschine mit Obenladung und mit einer im wesentlichen flachen Tür (1), die um eine horizontale Achse (2) schwenkt und die in die geschlossene Lage horizontal heruntergeklappt wird, und zwar in einer Lage, in der die Tür gesperrt ist mittels einer mechanischen Sperrvorrichtung, die aus einem an der Tür vorgesehenen Riegel (3) und einer einen Teil mit dem Türrahmen bildenden Schliessklappe (6) besteht, wobei eines der zwei Elemente der Sperrvorrichtung zum Empfangen des anderen Elementes dreht, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Riegel (3) ein Zylinder ist, dessen Querschnitt eine geschlossene Kurve ist und dessen Strahl in dem Zusammenarbeitungsbereich mit der Schliessklappe sprunghaft ändert, wobei der Riegel um eine zu der Mantellinie und der Ebene der Tür parallele Achse (4) schwenkbar an der Tür angeordnet ist und unter dem Einfluss von Federmitteln, die den Riegel richten, gegenüber der Schliesklappe (6) entsprechend kreuzenden Linien zurückgehalten wird, wobei der Riegel (3) unter dem Gewicht der Tür drehend angetrieben wird und zwar entgegen den Federmitteln zum Einschnappen unter der genannten Klappe in der Sperrlage der Tür, wobei die Klappe (6) aus einer Fangvorrichtung parallel zu dem Riegel (3) besteht, gegen die der Riegel anschlägt beim Schliessen der Tür, wobei Entriegelungsmittel für die Tür (1) den Riegel (3) zu dessen Freigabe entgegen der Federmittel drehen lassen.
2. Waschmaschine nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Entriegelungsmittel der Tür einerseits aus einem beweglichen Teil (11) quer zu dem Riegel (3) und zusammenarbeitend mit einem Zapfen (10), der einen Teil des genannten Riegels (3) bildet und andererseits aus einem Griff (7) besteht, der gegenüber dem Bogenteil frei schwenkbar ist und den genannten Bogenteil herunterdrückt zum Antreiben des Riegels (3) entgegen den genannten Federmitteln.
