Description

The invention relates to a contact device for the electrical connection of two contact fingers, which may only be roughly aligned with one another, according to the preamble of claim 1.

A contact device of the type mentioned in the preamble of claim 1 is already known. The spring force consists of convexly curved flat springs, each of which engages in the back of a contact lamella through a recess in the ring washer, with its ends abutting the ends of the associated contact lamella and is supported with the vertex of its back on the inside of the recess in the ring washer (DE-C -10 15 518).

In a further known contact device, an annular disk is also provided, as in the contact device according to the preamble of claim 1. However, this washer is not a separate part, but is molded onto one of the contact fingers. Furthermore, the radial spring force consists of several coil springs, each of which is bent into a circle and connected to one another at the ends (DE-C-547 182).

Both known contact devices have in common that they heat up very strongly during operation even when the cross section of their lamella is large enough for the current carrying capacity. If there is insufficient heat dissipation, the heating may exceed prescribed limits. At most, an undesirably large construction volume can remedy this.

The object of the invention is to design the contact device for the electrical connection of two contact fingers of the type mentioned in the preamble of claim 1 in a simple manner so that their heating during operation is kept below the predetermined limit without increasing the construction volume, in particular with poor heat dissipation.

The object is achieved according to the invention by the training specified in the characterizing part of claim 1.

Appropriate developments of the subject matter of the invention are specified in claims 2 to 4.

In the known contact devices, there are only two contact points per contact lamella, one at each lamella end. In contrast, each contact lamella of the contact device according to the invention has three contact points, one on one lamella end and two on the other lamella end. This design results in a three-point system of each contact lamella on the contact fingers, which is defined at any time, regardless of whether the contact fingers are aligned with one another or are more or less offset from one another. The three contact points per contact lamella also result in three current transition points between each 1 contact lamella and the contact fingers, instead of two current transition points in the prior art. Since the current can now be distributed over a larger number of current transition points during operation, the proportion of electricity that each current transition point has to transmit is correspondingly lower and thus both the partial and the total heating are lower.

  • Fig. 1 einen Aufriß im Schnitt,
  • Fig. 2 eine Draufsicht nach Fig. 1.
An embodiment of the invention is shown purely schematically in the drawing. Show it:
  • 1 is an elevation in section,
  • 2 is a plan view of FIG .. 1

In the drawing, 1 denotes a contact finger made of round material. The reference symbol 2 applies to a contact finger that is the same as the contact finger 1.

A contact device 3 is provided for electrically connecting the contact fingers 1 and 2, which, contrary to the drawing, can also only be roughly aligned with one another.

The contact device 3 has an annular disk 4 (FIG. 1) and a ring of contact lamellae 5, which have an approximately square cross section (FIG. 2).

Each of the contact blades 5 is bent out approximately in a barrel shape. The apex of the bend is in the middle of the contact lamellae 5. Towards each end of the contact lamellae 5, the barrel-shaped bend is followed by an opposite bend.

The contact lamellae 5 are encompassed by two coil springs 6 each bent into a ring, the ends of which are each connected to one another. The coil springs 6 are located in the throats of the oppositely directed bends following the barrel-shaped bends of the contact lamellae 5.

The contact blades 5 are held with the coil springs 6 in engagement with the washer 4 and can be expanded against the force of the coil springs 6 by the contact fingers 1, 2.

Each of the contact blades 5 has three contact points at which, during operation of the contact device 3, a current transfer takes place between the contact blades 5 and the contact fingers 1, 2. One of the contact points is arranged at one end of each contact lamella 5, while the other two contact points are located at the other end of each contact lamella.

The contact plates 5 are arranged offset by 180 ° in such a way that each end of a contact plate 5 with a contact point is adjacent to a contact plate end with two contact points. This means that on both contact fingers 1, 2 each contact lamella end with one contact point is followed by a contact lamella end with two contact points (FIG. 2).

To form the double contact points each contact lamella 5 is fluted at one end on its side facing the associated contact finger 1 or 2. The radius of the groove is smaller than half the diameter of the corresponding contact finger 1 or 2 (FIG. 2).

The ends of the contact lamellae 5 each having only one contact point can be designed in two ways in the example shown. They either have flat surfaces that can be tangentially attached to the assigned contact fingers 1 or 2 or are also grooved. In this case, however, the groove is such that its radius is larger than half the diameter of the respective contact fingers 1 or 2.

In a manner not shown, for example, the contact lamellae 5 can also be provided at one end with a knob forming the single contact point and at the other end with two knobs forming the double contact point.
