Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Biegevorrichtung für Offsetdruckplatten gemäß dem Oberbegriff des Anspruches 1.The invention relates to a bending device for offset printing plates according to the preamble of claim 1.

Bekannte Biegevorrichtungen dieser Art (DE-AS 26 28 249) ermöglichen eine genaue Abbiegung der Plattenenden auf ein bestimmtes Druckplattenmaß. Zum Ausrichten der Druckplatten vor dem Abbiegen werden bei der bekannten Ausführung Positionierungsschienen bzw. Positionierungsstifte benutzt, so daß die fertig abgebogene Druckplatte immer die gleiche Position zum Register des darauf befindlichen Druckbildes einnimmt. Danach wird die fertige Druckplatte auf den Plattenzylinder aufgespannt, wobei die tangentiale Spannkraft eine gewisse Dehnung der Platte bewirkt. Bei formschlüssigen Spannsystemen entspricht die Dehnkraft der aufgebrachten Spannkraft, so daß nach dem Spannvorgang ein guter Sitz der Platte auf dem Plattenzylinder erzielt ist. Zum registerhaltigen Auflegen der Druckplatte sind ansich bekannte Positioniermittel vorgesehen, die in der Zeichnung nicht dargestellt sind. An den beiden gegenüberliegenden Kopfseiten der Druckplatte sind Biegebalken 4 gelenkig an der Auflageplatte 1 befestigt, die, wie strichpunktiert dargestellt, eine obere Ausgangsstellung einnehmen können. Nach dem Einlegen der Druckplatte werden die Biegebalken 4 nach unten bewegt und biegen somit die Druckplattenenden 5, 6 entsprechend der Winkelform der Auflageplatte 1 nach unten ab. Bei der in Figur 2 gezeigten Ausführung entspricht das Maß zwischen den abgebogenen Druckplattenenden den durch die Auflageplatte 1 vorgegebenen Maßverhältnissen. Die beiden Druckplattenenden 5 und 6 verlaufen somit genau parallel zueinander und sind um ein geringes Maß enger abgewinkelt, wie dies die rein theoretische Einspannlänge am Druckplattenzylinder erfordern wurde. Claims (3)

1. Bending device for offset printing plates including a support plate (1), a respective bending bar (4) being pivotally mounted on the two opposite head portions of said support plate, a lowerable down-holder means (2) for holding down a printing plate (3) and positioning means for bending the two printing plate ends (5, 6) in-register to given printing plate dimensions, characterized in that an adjusting means is disposed parallel to said bending bars (4) for the purpose of adjusting between the two bent printing plate ends (5, 6) different kinds of printing plates to the respective strain behaviour, said adjusting means being movable into the surface of said printing plate, thus causing said printing plate to be deflected from a plane in which it is disposed.

Bending device according to Claim 1, characterized in that said adjusting means is an eccentric shaft (7) the eccentrically rotatable outer cylindrical surface (8) of which is engageable with said printing plate (3) so that, by turning said eccentric shaft (7), said printing plate (3) is deflected according to the degree of turning from a plane in which it is disposed.
3. Bending device according to Claims 1 and 2, characterized in that said eccentric shaft (7) can be turned by means of a handwheel (15) and is adjustable in accordance with a scale means (17).
