While the cover strip 12 of the cover plate 11 has a flat surface 14 in FIG. 1, the surface 25 of the cover strip 26 is curved in the cover profile 24 shown in FIG. 2. Otherwise, this cover profile also has the two legs 13, the inner surfaces of which are provided with toothed longitudinal ribs or longitudinal grooves 20 in cross section.

Claims (5)

1. Flat sill for a door, comprising a sill profile (1) which can be put into a supporting floor (5) flush with the surface of the latter and has a hollow space (10) which is open at the top and also a cover profile (11) which can be inserted into the hollow space (10) of the sill profile (1) at a variable height and has a cover strip (12), the upper side of which has a visible surface or a contact surface (14) for the lower edge of the door leaf, and its underside, with marginal parts (14'), is intended for resting on a finished floor covering (9) separated along the sill profile (1), characterized in that the cover profile (11) has two legs (13) reaching into the hollow space (10) of the sill profile (1), the marginal parts (14') of the cover strip (12) of the cover profile (11) protruding laterally beyond the legs (13) in order to rest on the finished floor covering (9), and that a plurality of insert pieces (15) into which the legs (13) of the cover profile (11) can be engaged at a variable height are anchored in the hollow space (10) of the sill profile (1).

Flat sill according to Claim 1, characterized in that the insert pieces (15) have a U-shaped cross-section open at the bottom and, on the outer surfaces of their legs (16), have longitudinal ribs or longitudinal grooves (19) which are tooth- shaped in cross-section, and that the inner surfaces of the legs (13) of the cover profile (11) are provided with longitudinal ribs or longitudinal grooves (20) of the same kind for engaging into those of the legs (16) of the cover profile (11).
3. Flat sill according to Claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the insert pieces (15) can be engaged in the hollow space (10) of the sill profile (1).
4. Flat sill according to one of Claims 1 to 3, characterized in that a levelling strip (21) is inserted between the inner side of the cover strip (12) of the cover profile (11) and the surfaces of the insert pieces (15) facing this inner side in order to limit the insertion depth of the cover profile (11) in the hollow space (10) of the sill profile (1).
5. Flat sill according to one of Claims 1 to 4; characterized in that the lateral outer surfaces of the sill profile (1) are each covered with an insulating strip (8).
