Abstract

A brush for cleaning articles like bottles includes a hollow handle and a brush body connected to the latter and having a plurality of bristles. The brush body accommodates a passage through which the fluid flows and is provided with a plurality of slots radially extending from the passage in one plane. Cooperating with the slots is a deflector which has a rim portion extending beyond the plane of the slots so that the fluid after flowing through the handle and the passage is discharged through the slots and deflected onto the bristles at an acute angle with respect to the center axis of the brush.

Description

The invention relates to a water-flow brush for cleaning vessels with the features specified in the preamble of claim 1.

Cleaning brushes of this type are known. The cleaning brush is connected to the water pipe by a hose and the water is guided through a hollow handle into the actual brush body, where it emerges radially parallel to the bristle bundles through radial openings. Especially with stronger water pressure radially directed water jets are often formed, so that a Wetting of the bristle bundles no longer takes place and, in addition, the undesirable spray effect impairs the handling of the brush.

The invention has for its object to improve the cleaning brush according to the preamble of claim 1 so that the bristle bundles experience good wetting and an undesirable spray effect of the escaping water is avoided.

This object is achieved by the features specified in the characterizing part of claim 1.

Further advantageous embodiments of the invention are specified in claims 2 to 5.

  • Figur 1 eine Reinigungsbürste in Seitenansicht und teilweise geschnitten;
  • Figur 2 eine weitere Reinigungsbürste im Längsschnitt.
Embodiments of the invention are shown in the drawing and are described in more detail below. It shows
  • Figure 1 is a cleaning brush in side view and partially cut;
  • Figure 2 shows another cleaning brush in longitudinal section.

For the sake of simplicity, the same or corresponding elements are provided with the same reference numerals in the two exemplary embodiments in the drawing.

1The cleaning brush 1 for bottles shown in FIG. 1 of the drawing is formed by a handle 2 with a water connection 21 and a brush body 3 with the bristles 31. Not about one in the drawing Fresh hose brought up is shown through the water connection 21 through the hollow handle 2 into a bore 34 of the brush body 3 and from here through the water outlet openings into the open. 1

The brush body 3 is divided into sections by screw connections 4. In the area of the bristles 31, radial slots 32 are made on one end face and are connected to the bore 34. On the end face of the other part of the screw connection 4, an apron-like jacket 33 or pot-shaped shield is formed, which in the screwed-together state engages over the outlet opening of the radial slots 32 at a distance, so that the water passing through the radial slots 32 is deflected at an acute angle to the central axis 11 and is splash-free is directed to the bristles 31.

In the exemplary embodiment shown in FIG. 2, the parts of the brush body 3 are plugged together with a bayonet connection 5 instead of the screw connection 4.

The formation of the water outlet openings in a plane in the shape of a ring in the area of the connection points of the brush body 3 also ensures that the brush can be optimally adapted to the length of the respective needs by selectively lining up several sections of the brush body 3, as shown in FIG. 2 can be.
