Description

The invention relates to a cross-flow fan with a fan roller rotatable in a housing.

It is known that in cross-flow fans with large lengths, especially under the influence of gravity, deflections occur on the fan roller, which at least partially give the cause of unbalance during the revolutions of the fan roller. To avoid unbalance, it is further known to divide the blower roller into longitudinal sections and to support the longitudinal sections in a common housing extending over the entire length of the cross-flow blower by means of intermediate bearings fixed to the housing. In addition to the fact that housings with large lengths are difficult to manufacture and are not torsion-free, the arrangement of the intermediate bearings and their assembly also present difficulties.

It is an object of the invention to provide a cross-flow blower with a variable length and low deflection support for the blower roller.

This object is achieved in that the housing and the fan roller are formed by axially spaced sections and that the adjacent housing and fan roller sections are fixedly or releasably connected to one another by adapters arranged in the common separation planes thereof. In this way, a cross-flow fan is created with any number of housings and blower roller sections that can be assembled in a modular manner, the blower roller sections being supported on the housing sections. It goes without saying that the housing and blower roller sections correspondingly matching in length can be of the same or different lengths as desired, and that cross-flow blowers of any length can be erected for a short time by joining the housing and blower roller sections together. The support of the blower roller sections ensures that they run smoothly even with cross-flow blowers with a large overall length.

In an embodiment of the cross-flow fan, the adapters are formed by at least one circuit board with connecting means arranged in the peripheral region of the same for the adjacent housing sections and at least one spherical bearing with a shaft piece and coupling bodies for the adjacent housing roller sections. According to a preferred embodiment of the cross-flow blower, there are two fixed-spaced boards, each of which has connection means for the housing sections in the edge regions and a spherical bearing for a shaft piece with coupling bodies. Appropriately serve as connecting means Renkansatz, which pass through openings of the housing sections and press the edge surfaces of the openings behind. The connection of the housing parts can hereby be effected by means of a simple plug-in process with subsequent partial rotation of the adapter or the housing sections. It corresponds to the invention that more than two boards or other connecting means, for. B. screws, can find application.

Furthermore, it is provided that shaft-proof hubs with ring-shaped carriers made of elastic material, which are rotatably attached to them, serve as the coupling body and receive the end faces of the fan roller sections in a rotationally fixed manner in a circumferential annular groove. For the slip-free connection of rotary roller sections and drivers, the drivers in the region of the annular groove can have at least one web which is supported in a recess in the end face of the associated fan roller section.

Finally, there is provision for the adapter to be formed by a single circuit board which has reed attachments at the edge regions for connecting the housing sections and in the center a single spherical bearing with a shaft piece and coupling body. The use of a single circuit board leads to a simple configuration of the cross-flow fan and to a particularly close assignment of the housing and roller sections to one another.

In a further embodiment of the cross-flow fan, the housing sections in the end faces can have a plurality of plug-in openings offset from one another by predetermined angular degrees, and the housing sections can be connected in a twisted assignment by the adapter by means of the offset plug-in openings. This provides the possibility of connecting blower sections with different blow-out directions to one another, the reed attachments reproducibly allowing changes in the blow-out directions by repositioning in offset openings.

In the figures, 1 denotes an electric drive motor, while 2, 3 and 4 represent housing sections of the cross-flow fan. In the housing sections 2 to 4, fan roller sections 5, 6 and 7 are formed so as to be rotatable, which together can be rotated simultaneously by the drive motor 1. According to the invention, the housing sections 2, 3 and 4 and the blower roller sections 5, 6 and 7 are set in the common separation planes Adapter 8 can be connected to each other to form a cross-flow fan of any length. The adapters 8 can be connected fixedly or releasably to the housing or blower roller sections. FIG. 2 shows an adapter 8 with two boards 9, which are supported at a distance from one another by means of molded-on lugs 10 and are firmly connected to one another by screws 11. The boards 9 have baying projections 12 in the edge regions, which can be inserted into the plug-in openings 13 of the end faces 2 ', 3' and 4 'of the housing sections for connecting the housing sections 2 and 3 or 3 and 4 and by rotating the boards 9 or Housing sections 2, 3, 4 surround the edge surfaces of the plug openings 13. The boards 9 have spherical bearings 14, which together support a shaft piece 15, which carries the coupling body 16 for the fan roller sections 5 to 7. The dome body 16 are formed by hubs 17 with drawn-on annular drivers 18 made of an elastic material. The drivers 18 are held in a rotationally fixed manner on the hubs 17 by means of wedge-shaped projections 19 and have circumferential annular grooves 20 into which the end faces 5 ', 6', 7 'of the fan roller sections 5 to 7 engage, which are additionally supported on webs 21 for a slip-free connection . The shaft pieces 15 can be designed to be displaceable or fixed in the spherical bearings 14.

It is in accordance with the invention that housing sections 2 to 4 of any length and fan roller sections 5 to 7 can be connected to one another by means of the adapter 8, so that either long or short cross-flow fans can be erected according to the modular principle.

In this adapter, a single circuit board 9 is used, which has edge extensions 12 on both sides at the edge region, which serve to connect housing sections 2 to 4. Furthermore, a single spherical bearing 14 is provided in the board 9, the one. Shaft piece 15 supports the coupling body 16, consisting of hubs 17 and drivers 18. The adapter 8 of FIG. 5 results in a close assignment of the housing sections 2 to 4 and fan roller sections 5 to 7 to one another.

With cross-flow fans, the adapters 8 lead to multiple support of the fan roller consisting of sections in a housing also formed from sections. It goes without saying that cross-flow fans of any length can be achieved by means of the adapters 8 by means of any length or any number of housing and fan roller sections.
