Biegung das Tragprofil 6 über Schwenkbolzen 7 verbunden ist. Das Tragprofil 6 ist ein beiderseitig an seinen Enden abgeschlossenes Winkelprofil, das mit der Tischplatte 16 verbunden ist. Zwei weitere, in den Längsrandbereichen angeordnete Lochungen 8 dienen zur verschwenkbaren Befestigung der später beschriebenen Stützstrebenkonstruktion durch die Schwenkbolzen 9. Claims (8)

1. A method of manufacturing a foldable and stackable table and bench, respectively comprising one swivable support base (10) provided on either side in the end area of the narrow sides thereof and selectively placeable into an approximately vertical position of use or into a stacking position in parallel to the plane of the bottom side of the table or bench plate (16), with the support base (10), by a swivable back-up brace construction connected thereto being respectively engageable with a locking element (14) locking the position as adjusted, with the locking element (14) being disposed at a space from the swivel axis of the support base (10) on the lower side of the table or bench plate (16) such that, in the upright position, the delimitation of the back-up brace construction is engageable, and, in the stacking position, the engageable bridge of the support base (10) is engageable, characterized in that the back-up member of the support base (10) is cut from a rectangular sheet bar (1) and, subsequently, is provided simultaneously or stepwise
a) with a plurality of subdividedly grouped relieving recesses (2) thereby forming an engageable bridge (15) directed in parallel to one narrow side,
b) with two rectangular equi-dimensioned notches (3) disposed on a narrow side in opposite corner areas,
c) with a recess (4) formed on a narrow side disposed opposite the narrow side comprising the notches (3) and in parallel thereto, with the recess (4) comprising equi-dimensioned lugs (5) perforated on either side in overstand, and
d) with two further perforations (8) disposed approximately at the level of the engageable bridge (15) equidistantly from the perforated lugs (5) that the sheet bar (1) along the bending edges (3.1 and 3.2) position-marked by the notches (3), is bevelled by 90° in one direction, that the supporting profile (6) for the table or bench plate (16) by swivel bolts (7) extending through the lugs (5) of the support base (10) is swivably connected to the supporting base (10), and that the supporting brace (12) through swivel bolts (9) extending through the perforations (8) of the support base (10) are swivably connected to the support base (10).
2. A method according to claim 1, characterized in that the distance between the lugs (5) connecting the supporting profile (6) for fixing the table or bench plate, and the locking element (14) connected to the bottom side thereof, is adjusted to correspond to the distance between the lugs (5) and the center line of the engageable bridge (15) and to the length of the planar projection of the angularly disposed supporting brace (12) engaging the locking element (14).
3. A method according to claims 1 and 2, characterized in that the engageable bridge (15) provided for fixing the supporting base (10) folded against the table and bench plate (16) is bent outwardly approximately at the level and in the direction of the bevels of the sheet bar (1 ) .

A method according to claims 1 and 2, characterized in that the supporting brace (12) is formed from a flat profile which, in the central area (13) thereof, as a rule, is symmetrically constricted in width by a notching and the corners thereof, in that central area, are rounded off, and that the supporting brace (12) is bent to form a fork engaging between the bevels of the sheet bar (1 ).
5. A method according to claim 4, characterized in that the central area (13) is joined by planes extending vertically in respectively parallel relationship and being connected by a step directed angularly outwardly.
6. A method according to claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the bevelled strip (17) extending along the bending edge (3.2) is bent inwardly toward a recess (2) disposed centrally of the narrow side and confined by the bevelled strip.
7. A method according to claim 1, characterized in that the surface of the sheet bar (1) reduced by recesses (2) and notchings (3 and 4), in part, is provided with beads (11).
8. A method according to claims 1 to 3 and 7, characterized in that after mounting of the rectangular sheet bar (1) onto the matrix of a press, recesses, notchings and perforations (2/3, 4/5 and 8) are performed and that, subsequently, the perforated sheet bar (1) is jointly formed by a bending die for the final shaping of the back-up member of the support base (10), determining the pattern of the beads (11).
