Abstract

A folding box blank, and a box assembled therefrom, having an integral carrying handle flap comprised of three segments with a griphole means passing through two of the segments. Relief embossings are located on all four side wall flaps and pairs of complementary cutouts are located on one of the upper and one of the lower remaining wall flaps, so that when the box is assembled the cutouts interact with the embossing by biasing against them.

Demgegenüber läßt sich erfindungsgemäß durch die Kombination der bekannten gekürzten Längsklappe mit einem integrierten Tragegriff ein Faltschachtelzuschnitt ohne zusätzlichen Kartonverbrauch im Vergleich zu üblichen Paketen herstellen. Bei erfindungsgemäßer Ausgestaltung des Faltschachtelzuschnitts fällt also der integrierte Tragegriff kostenlos an. Die Deckel-und Bodenflächen sind dann zwar geteilt, in Kombination mit der Aufreißperforation über einen Aufreißfaden auf der am Tragegriff angelenkten gekürzten Längsklappe ist diese Lösung jedoch zweckmäßig und läßt eine optimale Werbewirkung zu. Im anderen Fall der erster Gruppe werden ungeteilte Deckel- und Bodenflächen am Paket erhalten, wenn die jeweils voll ausgebildete Längsklappe am Deckel und Boden als äußere Klappe verklebt wird. Claims

1. Blank for a foldable carton with lid and bottom areas each consisting of first longitudinal flaps (4) shaped onto the longitudinal carton walls (1) by way of deflecting lines and second longitudinal flaps (3) as well as lateral flaps (5) shaped onto the lateral carton walls (5), wherein the first longitudinal flaps (4) are shorter than the width of the lateral walls (2) and the first longitudinal flap (4) of the lid area is shaped by way of an integrated carrier grip band (6) onto the associated longitudinal wall (1) and the carrier grip band (6) consists of two strips, which are to be folded flat together and connected on the one hand by way of deflecting lines with the adjoining longitudinal wall (1) and on the other hand with the shortened longitudinal flap (4), and possesses a carrier grip opening in about the middle of the area of the strips that have been folded together, characterised thereby, that each first longitudinal flap (4) is shortened to one third to one quarter of the width of the lateral walls and each second longitudinal flap (3) either has the width of the lateral walls (2) or is reduced to two thirds of this width, that each of the strips forming the carrier grip band (6) has a size of about two thirds to three quarters of the width of the lateral walls (2), that the lateral flaps (5) are provided at the lid and bottom with a relief embossing (13) in the manner of a circular segment and that shortened longitudinal flap (4) at the bottom as well as the shortened longitudinal flap (4) articulated at the carrier grip band (6) contain two punched-out portions (14) to fit into the relief embossings (13) and that the articulation grooves (16) of the lateral flaps (5) are bevelled by about one carton thickness.

Blank for a foldable carton according to claim 1, characterised thereby, that the alteral flaps (5) of the bottom possess, from the articulation grooving (16) to the outside edge, the shape of the unshortened lateral flaps (3) and, adjoining the unshortened longitudinal flap (3), are punched off obliquely.
