Definitions
- the invention relates to a fire protection door with the features of the preamble of claim 1 .
- Fire protection doors are usually made of sheet steel with insulating inserts and a steel frame provided for reasons of stability. Such steel doors are high. heat-resistant and stable against burning, but the high thermal conductivity of steel means that the door side facing away from the fired side quickly heats up. This is undesirable.
- a wooden door leaf burns out over time, but this happens relatively slowly in the door leaf surface, so that the necessary downtime can be achieved against burning.
- Wood has a low thermal conductivity, so that the aforementioned disadvantage of high heating of the side of the door facing away from the fired side does not occur.
- a wooden door leaf burns much faster at the door leaf corners and later also in the area of the door edge than in the area; Due to the relatively high moisture content, a door leaf made of wood or using wood-made material, in particular chipboard material, contracts, so that there is a risk of a gap forming between the edge of the door leaf and the surrounding frame area, through which gap the fire can penetrate.
- this object is achieved - according to its characteristics.
- the edge region of the door is provided with one or more insulating layers at least partially all around, but in particular over the entire circumference. These insulating layers ensure that the burn-off can take place at the corners or edge areas, but the insulating layers maintain the original door leaf circumference, so that the door surface remaining within the insulating layer or layers is essentially resistant to burning through the door slower burn-through is retained and gap formation towards the frame frame does not take up space.
- a plurality of insulating layers arranged one behind the other with regard to the door leaf density can be provided, for example on both sides of the door leaf and in particular in such a way that the insulating layers are each flush with the assigned door leaf surface.
- one or more grooves are made from the edge region of the door parallel to the door leaf level in the edge region of the wooden door leaf, in which one or more insulating layers are embedded.
- a groove of this type can be provided approximately in the middle of the door leaf, into which an insulating layer, ins special made of asbestos cement.
- fire protection strips which swell or foam under the action of heat, for example made of sodium silicate.
- one or more such fire protection strips are provided in the edge region of the door leaf, in particular embedded in a recess which covers the edge-outside region of the groove or grooves containing the insulating layer.
- the groove or grooves and possibly the fire protection strips arranged above are preferably covered with a cover, for example a thicker barrier veneer, on the outside edge so that the fire protection measures according to the invention do not appear on the outside.
- a fire protection door with a door panel for example made of fire-resistant glazing
- a door panel for example made of fire-resistant glazing
- the frame around the door panel consists of wood or wood-like material.
- both the inner and the outer edge area of this wooden frame are protected in the manner described.
- covers are preferably provided which overlap the screws and provide an aesthetically perfect finish to the Door panel on the one hand and to the wooden frame on the other hand.
- These covers for example made of aluminum profiles, are applied via clip connections, so that no fastening devices for these profiles appear on the outside.
- FIG. 1 The partial representation of a fire protection door leaf according to FIG. 1 shows a door leaf 1 made of a chipboard material of a commercial type.
- triangular insulating layers 2 made of asbestos cement are introduced from the edge area parallel to the door leaf plane.
- the layers can be glued there.
- the fire side of the door is covered by, for example, a blocking veneer, so that the Insulating layers 2 are not visible.
- the corner areas of the door leaf are primarily at risk.
- the wood burns there, but the insulating layers prevent the formation of gaps and keep the fire out, so that the door can withstand the fire until it burns much more slowly through the flat door area.
- the partial cross-sectional view through a chipboard fire protection door leaf 1 according to FIG. 2 is provided with an insulating layer 3 which runs around the edge region and is embedded in a groove 4 which is guided centrally from the edge to the interior of the door leaf.
- a plurality of parallel grooves in the door leaf plane can also be provided, in which a corresponding number of parallel insulating layers i are introduced.
- the groove 4 is widened by a recess 5, in which a fire protection strip 6 made of a material that foams up when exposed to heat is embedded.
- the groove 4 or the recess 5 with the embedded materials 3 and 6 is covered on the outside edge side by a blocking veneer 7, so that the insulating layer 3 or the fire strip 6 is held in its position and covered.
- the fire strip 6 first foams and presses the blocking veneer onto the frame 8, so that the gap between the door leaf and the frame is closed.
- the partial cross-sectional view of a door leaf with a wooden frame 9 and a glazing 10 surrounded as a door panel initially shows an insulating layer 3 in the outer edge region of the door frame 9, as was described in connection with FIG. 2.
- the glazing 10 consists of two glass panes, between which a gel is embedded. When fired, the glass pane facing the fire is destroyed, whereupon the gel melts or burns off. In this way, sufficient stability against firing is achieved.
- recesses 11 are provided on both sides on the outside, in which insulating layers 12 are inserted.
- the insulating layers are held on the frame with the aid of screws 13 which pass through the insulating layers 12 and the inner edge region of the frame in the region of the recesses 11.
- These screws are preferably designed as sleeve screws and are thermally conductive due to their metal construction.
- covers 14 are provided which overlap the screw ends on both sides of the door leaf at a distance, so that there is an insulating effect.
- the covers - for example made of aluminum profiles - are held in a manner not shown by clamp holders on the door leaf or the insulating layers 12 and overlap the insulating layers 12 in their frame-side and glazing-side end regions and lie on the frame 9 or the glazing 10 - in the latter case via a plastic strip 15 -. This ensures an aesthetically perfect appearance.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a fire protection door with the features of the preamble of claim 1 .
Fire protection doors are usually made of sheet steel with insulating inserts and a steel frame provided for reasons of stability. Such steel doors are high. heat-resistant and stable against burning, but the high thermal conductivity of steel means that the door side facing away from the fired side quickly heats up. This is undesirable.
A wooden door leaf burns out over time, but this happens relatively slowly in the door leaf surface, so that the necessary downtime can be achieved against burning. Wood has a low thermal conductivity, so that the aforementioned disadvantage of high heating of the side of the door facing away from the fired side does not occur. However, a wooden door leaf burns much faster at the door leaf corners and later also in the area of the door edge than in the area; Due to the relatively high moisture content, a door leaf made of wood or using wood-made material, in particular chipboard material, contracts, so that there is a risk of a gap forming between the edge of the door leaf and the surrounding frame area, through which gap the fire can penetrate.
It is an object of the invention to provide a fire protection door leaf made of wood or a material similar to wood, in particular chipboard material, in which the risk of burns off at the endangered edge areas avoided and the risk of gaps forming towards the frame area is eliminated as far as possible.
Starting from a fire protection door with the features of the preamble of
Depending on the fire resistance of the door, it may be sufficient to protect the corner areas with the help of the insulating layer or layers according to the invention. In a preferred embodiment, the edge region of the door is provided with one or more insulating layers at least partially all around, but in particular over the entire circumference.
A plurality of insulating layers arranged one behind the other with regard to the door leaf density can be provided, for example on both sides of the door leaf and in particular in such a way that the insulating layers are each flush with the assigned door leaf surface. In a preferred embodiment, one or more grooves are made from the edge region of the door parallel to the door leaf level in the edge region of the wooden door leaf, in which one or more insulating layers are embedded. In particular, a groove of this type can be provided approximately in the middle of the door leaf, into which an insulating layer, ins special made of asbestos cement.
It is fundamentally possible, in a manner known per se, to provide the side of the frame facing the door leaf edge with so-called fire protection strips which swell or foam under the action of heat, for example made of sodium silicate. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, one or more such fire protection strips are provided in the edge region of the door leaf, in particular embedded in a recess which covers the edge-outside region of the groove or grooves containing the insulating layer. The groove or grooves and possibly the fire protection strips arranged above are preferably covered with a cover, for example a thicker barrier veneer, on the outside edge so that the fire protection measures according to the invention do not appear on the outside.
In a further embodiment of the invention, a fire protection door with a door panel, for example made of fire-resistant glazing, can also be provided, in which case only the frame around the door panel consists of wood or wood-like material. In this case, both the inner and the outer edge area of this wooden frame are protected in the manner described. It is advisable to provide at least the inner edge area of the frame with two insulating layers, which are each provided in recesses in the outer edge area of the frame. These two insulating layers are preferably connected to one another by a screw connection penetrating the wooden frame and held in position, in particular by a sleeve screw. In order to absorb the passage of heat through the screw connection penetrating through the door thickness, covers are preferably provided which overlap the screws and provide an aesthetically perfect finish to the Door panel on the one hand and to the wooden frame on the other hand. These covers, for example made of aluminum profiles, are applied via clip connections, so that no fastening devices for these profiles appear on the outside.
- Figure 1 is a partial view of a fire door made of a chipboard with insulation layers introduced in the corner areas;
- Figure 2 shows a partial cross section through the edge and adjacent frame area to illustrate the arrangement of an insulating layer which is guided around the edge area of the door leaf;
- Figure 3 is a partial cross-sectional view through the edge region of a chipboard door leaf frame with a door panel from a glazing.
The partial representation of a fire protection door leaf according to FIG. 1 shows a
If the door is lit, the corner areas of the door leaf are primarily at risk. The wood burns there, but the insulating layers prevent the formation of gaps and keep the fire out, so that the door can withstand the fire until it burns much more slowly through the flat door area.
The partial cross-sectional view through a chipboard fire
The partial cross-sectional view of a door leaf with a wooden frame 9 and a
The
In the inner edge region of the wooden frame 9,
Also in the last embodiment, each of the edge or corner regions, the little withstand otherwise the firing, ge by insulating
These measures make it possible to provide a fire door made of wood, in particular chipboard material, which only burns when the fire is out eats through the door surface or frame surface itself.
