Abstract

A hand held kitchen sink spray is disclosed with various cleaning attachments. The attachments are attached by a quick-release connector.

Description

The invention relates to a hand-held device for rinsing and cleaning kitchen and household dishes or the like. with the features specified in the preamble of claim 1.

Such a device is known from GB-A-565 318. Here, a hose line with a union nut connection is connected to the water supply line. At the downstream end of the hose line, a handle with a spout is attached to the hose. A brush or a scratch can be screwed onto the handle on the downstream side with a thread.

A safe storage of the handheld device, in particular a holder in the area of a drain or sink, is not provided in this known device. The exchange or replacement of the various cleaning devices is also relatively complex and time-consuming.

Furthermore, it is known (DE-U-8 206 052) to arrange a hand shower in the outlet of a tap fitting, in which case the hand shower in the plug-in position can be used as a stationary outlet and by removing it from the outlet as a hand shower for washing dishes.

The invention has for its object to provide an easy-to-use, water-flowing cleaning and rinsing device that can be easily adapted to the respective requirements.

This object is achieved by the features specified in the characterizing part of claim 1.

Further refinements of the invention are specified in dependent claims 2 to 7. With the device according to the invention it is achieved in particular that various cleaning devices can be easily connected to the kitchen fitting by means of a quick coupling, wherein an optimal cleaning effect can be achieved by the water emerging from the working device. The quick coupling can be arranged on the protruding connector, e.g. Hold with a conical outer surface in a correspondingly shaped outlet pipe of the kitchen fitting. In this way, on the one hand, the hand-held device can be securely held on the fitting, and the cone-shaped receptacle allows the hand-held device to be directed into the sink by rotating it about the longitudinal axis even when the outlet pipe is pivoted. On the other hand, by simply pulling the handheld device with the subsequent hose out of the outlet pipe, the handheld device can be used for cleaning operations to be carried out by hand.

The work tools are usually wearing parts, which are expediently fastened to a handle by means of threads, in order to be easily replaced by a new work tool after wear.

For easy handling and holding in the hand of the user, the handheld device can be provided with a handle which has a knob-like thickening on its downstream area, in which area a thread can advantageously be formed for fastening the working device to the handle. The use of tools, such as pot and pan scrapers, baby bottle brushes, spray lances, contra-angle handpieces with discharge devices, water spray heads, showers with multiple jet formers, has proven to be effective and particularly useful for cleaning and rinsing processes.

The handheld device shown in FIGS. 1 to 3 is designed as a pot or pan scraper. The water supply, from the kitchen fitting, not shown in the drawing, takes place via a hose 8, at the end of which a quick coupling 2 is arranged. The quick coupling 2 connects the hose 8 to a hollow handle 1 to which a pot or pan scraper 20 with a thread 4 is fastened. The quick coupling described in DE-PS 28 27 847 is used as a quick coupling. The coupling is unlocked by simply pressing actuating buttons 11 radially, with which locking bolts 12 can be deflected out of an annular groove in a connecting pin 13 of the handle 1 that the connecting pin 13 can be pulled out of the quick coupling 2 with the handle 1. The quick coupling 2 is connected to the handle 1 by pushing the connecting pin 13 into the quick coupling 2 until the locking bolts 12 snap into place. The arrangement of an annular groove in the connecting pin 13, into which the locking bolts 12 snap in, makes it possible for the handle 1 with the associated implement to be rotated to the hose 8 indefinitely.

On the upstream end face of the quick coupling 2, a projecting connecting piece 7 is formed, to which the hose 8 for the water supply is fastened by means of a slightly conical, correspondingly projecting union nut 9. Both kitchen water fittings, not shown in the drawing, the hose 8 is guided through an outlet pipe, which has a correspondingly conical receptacle for the union nut 9 at the end region, so that the hand-held device can be securely placed and held on the fitting.

On the handle 1, a knob-like thickening 5 is also formed on the downstream area, in the area of which the thread 4 is formed on the inside for fastening the implement. Following the knob-like thickening 5 there is a correspondingly designed hemispherical region of the pot and pan scraper 20, on which the scraper blade is molded. In the hemispherical region 6 of the pot and pan scraper 20, water outlet openings 3 are also provided parallel to the scraper blade and slightly inclined to the central axis.

4 and 5, the hand-held device is shown in part in the form of a brush 30. The implement is connected to the hemispherical region 6 on the knob-like thickening 5 with the thread 4. A pin 32 is arranged on the hemispherical region 6, on which the bristle 31 is fastened in a known manner. In FIGS. 8 and 9, the hand-held device partially shown is provided with an angle piece 50 as a working device. The water outlet openings 3 are offset by approximately 90 ° to the water inlet opening 51. An outlet mouthpiece 52 is provided as the water outlet opening 3 and generates either a ventilated or non-aerated water jet. The hand-held device with the angle piece 50 can advantageously be used as a flushing shower or also as an outlet mouthpiece for the sink mixer.

FIGS. 10 to 12 show the hand-held device with a water spray head 60. As can be seen in particular in FIG. 12, a hollow pin 61 is formed on the hemispherical region 6, the end face of which has a plurality of jet nozzles 62 which are offset from the central axis. The jet nozzles 62 are directed to a pot-like impact body 63 which is held on the hollow pin 61 with a thread 64. A water outlet opening 3 is provided centrally in the impact body 63, through which the spray mist generated by the impact body 63 flows out.

A hand-held device with an angle piece 50 can be used for operation as a hand shower or in particular as a stationary water outlet for the kitchen fitting. Here, the water outlet opening 3 is offset by approximately 90 ° to the inlet opening 51 and the inflowing water is guided through an outlet mouthpiece 52 with which an aerated or non-aerated water jet can be generated. Through the handle 1 rotatably held in the quick coupling 2, it can also be achieved here that an alignment of the water jet, for example in the middle of the sink, is possible when the outlet pipe of the sink fitting is pivoted.

To spray water, a handheld device with a spray head 60 can also be connected to the quick coupling. The water to be sprayed is pressed through jet nozzles 62 and atomized on the impact body 63, so that a spray jet emerges from the water outlet opening 3.

The tools described above are subject to wear during use. A tool that has become unusable or no longer meets the hygienic requirements can be replaced in a relatively simple manner by unscrewing it from the thread 4 of the handle 1 by a new one. The handle 1 can then continue to be used.

Finally, the handheld device can advantageously be provided with a flow regulating and shut-off valve in the area of the handle 1, so that the amount of water escaping from the working tools can be determined directly during the work process.

Claims (7)

1. Hand-held appliance for rinsing and cleaning kitchen and household utensils and crockery or the like, having a handle (1) which, on the one hand, can be connected via a hose (8) to a kitchen fitting for supplying water and, on the other hand, has a tool having one or more water-outlet orifices which is fastened in such a manner that it can be detached, characterised in that the hose (8), together with a quick coupling (2), is fixedly connected to the kitchen fitting and handles (1) each having a different tool can be connected to the hose (8) via the quick coupling (2), the quick coupling (2) having a projecting connecting sleeve (7) on the part that is on the side of the hose, on which connecting sleeve (7) there is arranged a suitably formed coupling nut (9) for connecting it to the hose (8) and for placing it in an outlet body or holder in the kitchen fitting.

2. Hand-held appliance according to claim 1, characterised in that a knob-like enlargement (5) is formed on the part of the handle (1) that is located downstream, which enlargement (5) merges into an approximately hemispherical region (6) of the tool.

Hand-held appliance according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that there is provided as the tool a pot and pan scraper (20) or a brush (30), a jet tube (40) for producing a hard jet of water, an elbow (50), a water-spraying head (60), a glass- cleaning sponge, a pot cleaner, a multiple jet sprinkler, etc.

4. Hand-held appliance according to claim 3, characterised in that the pot and pan scraper (20) is provided on both sides, approximately parallel to the scraper blade, with a row of water-outlet orifices (3) in the hemispherical region (6).

Hand-held appliance according to claim 3, characterised in that the brush (30) is provided with bristles (31) which are arranged radially on a pin (32) formed onto the hemispherical region (6), and, in the hemispherical region (6), water-outlet orifices (3), which are approximately parallel to the central axis and are arranged on a hole circle (33), are directed into the gaps (34) between the bristles (31)..

6. Hand-held appliance according to claim 3, characterised in that there is mounted in the elbow (50) an outflow nozzle (52), which is displaced by approximately 90° relative to the inlet orifice (51), for producing an aerated or unaerated water jet which emerges at the water-outlet orifice (3).

Hand-held appliance according to claim 3, characterised in that the water-spraying head (60) is formed by a hollow pin (61) which is formed on the hemispherical region (6), the end face of which hollow pin (61) has one or more jet nozzles (62), the nozzles pointing to a pot-like deflecting body (63) in which there is provided a water-outlet orifice (3) for the spray jet.
