Description

The invention relates to a device for dispensing liquid, in particular by means of a nozzle, with a shut-off valve which has a valve seat which is internally optionally conical and an axial valve needle which is hollow for the radially inner liquid supply and whose end remote from the valve can be connected to a liquid source, optionally with a correspondingly conical one , Tip as valve body, which has at least one bore connected to the cavity of the valve needle with a radial component, which opens into an annular space on the valve seat radially between this and a single coaxial, for radially external fluid return, surrounding the valve needle surrounding liquid guide tube, the valve distal end can be connected to a liquid sink.

Statt eines Kegelventils könnte also auch ein Plattenventil mittels einer Nadel"spitze" gebildet sein, die stumpf auf einen oberflächlich ebenen Ventilsitz stößt."Tip" of the valve needle can be any form of the needle end used as the valve body, since its diameter is in any case small compared to the length of the needle. Instead of a cone valve, a plate valve could also be formed by means of a “tip” needle, which bluntly abuts a superficially flat valve seat.

In the case of a known coaxial arrangement of a radially inner valve needle, the conical tip of which forms the valve body of a seat valve of a paint spraying device, and at least one radially outer paint guide tube, the valve-distal end of which can be connected to a paint source or sink, the valve needle is solid and surrounded by an ink supply pipe. the wall of which is provided with bores directed obliquely rearward with respect to the axis, which open into a coaxial return pipe which surrounds the paint supply pipe radially on the outside and can be connected to a paint sink. As a result, there is a possibility of circulating or at least pushing back paint standing in the paint supply pipe even with the valve closed to flush the paint supply and return pipe in the closed, forward-extending circuit which avoids harmful emissions from the paint sprayer which then only needs to be cleaned in its downstream part behind the paint valve, with only small amounts of washing-up liquid getting into the air of the spray booth, which makes the use of a device which is difficult to clean from time to time to collect the mixture of residual paint and washing-up liquid unnecessarily . In the known arrangement, however, it is unavoidable that color is deposited on the inner surfaces of the ink supply and the color return pipe, so that a color change requires surface cleaning, which in principle results in a loss of color. The invention is therefore based on the object of providing a coaxial arrangement for the ink supply and return of a paint spraying device which requires less cleaning effort and causes less paint loss.

This object is achieved according to the invention in a coaxial arrangement of the type mentioned at the outset in that the bore of the needle tip is directed obliquely forward against the valve seat with respect to the needle axis and in that the liquid tube has a front end of the valve needle, forming an annular gap adjoining the annular space , leading inner collar is provided, it being assumed that the liquid flow resistance when the shut-off valve is opened downstream axially in front of the bore opening is greater than the same resistance axially behind this opening, which must be the case in some way, for example by blocking the liquid return. It is thereby advantageously achieved that, compared to the known coaxial arrangement, with the same clear cross-sectional area of the ink guide there is a smaller inner surface of the ink guide, which naturally entails lower losses of separated ink and washed out for cleaning the ink guide. As a result, the color guide can also be cleaned more quickly in the event of a color change, so that the changeover times are reduced.

It is known from DE-C-2 757 522 to use a hollow valve needle. In this, however, steering or atomizing air is guided, while the paint to be atomized is guided on its radially outer surface to the axially widening end of the valve needle, which seals with its radially outer peripheral surface.

From FR-A-2 280 843 (Fig. 1 and 2) a device of the type mentioned is already known. However, because there the bores of the valve tip run radially and an inner collar of the outer liquid guide tube, which acts as a throttle and guide for the front valve needle end, is missing, in contrast, better flow conditions and, in addition, an improved valve closing process result in the device according to the invention.

In a preferred embodiment of the coaxial arrangement according to the invention, the valve needle has a tube, at the axially front end of which an attachment piece forming the needle tip is attached, which is provided with the oblique bore and an axial blind bore, which on the one hand into the tube of the valve needle and on the other hand into the oblique hole opens. There are expediently several oblique bores, which are evenly distributed over the circumference of the needle tip and on the one hand offer a relatively low flow resistance when the valve is open and on the other hand cause a deflection of the possibly shared ink flow into the color return. The valve needle can be in the proposed design relatively simple and cheap to manufacture.

Several components of a color liquid, e.g. B. master varnish and hardener of a two-component varnish should, according to EP-A2-0 104 395 falling under Art. 54 (3) EPU, be led separately into the immediate vicinity of the atomization point and then mixed as long as they cover the remaining distance be transported to the atomization site. Accordingly, it is provided in the preferred embodiment that the valve needle contains a static mixer, which is expediently arranged in the tube of the valve needle and opens into the blind bore of the attachment piece (needle tip).

The invention is explained in detail below with reference to the preferred embodiment of the coaxial arrangement according to the invention which is shown by way of example in the drawing. The only figure of the drawing shows a central longitudinal section broken through to the right through the embodiment.

A paint nozzle 2 of an otherwise not shown paint spraying device is screwed with the interposition of an O-ring 4 in the axial, cylindrical extension 6 of a conical valve seat 8, which is fitted into the front end of a radially outer paint guide tube 10 serving the paint return. The tube 10 encloses a coaxial, hollow valve needle 12, the conical tip 14 of which forms a valve body 8 which cooperates with the valve seat 8 and which is part of an attachment piece 16 which extends into the front end of a radially inner tube which mainly forms the valve needle 12 and serves for the ink supply 18 is glued, the cavity of which contains a static mixer 20 which, as indicated, works without moving parts by the fluids to be mixed, for. B. master varnish and hardener, pressed through a labyrinth or between chicanes, where they mix intimately. Such mixers are commercially available. The attachment piece 16 has an axial blind bore 22 which opens into the cavity of the tube 18 at the front end of the mixer 20 and from the inner end of which a plurality of oblique, forward-diverging bores 24 extend evenly distributed over the circumference of the needle tip 14, which Seen in the flow direction, open axially in front of the valve 8-14 in an annular space 26 between the valve needle 12 and the color return pipe 10. By means of a radially narrow, long collar 28 of the tube 10, this leads the extension 16 to form a small gap 30, which ensures that the flow resistance for the returned paint is greater than the flow resistance when the valve is open for the paint supplied to the paint spraying device.

This device can have a rotating atomizer bell or disc, on the surface of which the paint passes from the nozzle 2.
