Abstract

1. Circuit arrangement in a DMA controller having a plurality of independent data transmission channels for autonomous data transmission between a plurality of data sources and data sinks, characterized in that a microprogram, which can be stored in a memory, acts on a data handling unit (DHU), in which each data transmission channel is assigned a data assembly register (DARi) for the temporary storage of data bits or control information, and in that the data handling unit (DHU) contains means which, after microprogrammed initialization, execute a channel-specific processing of the data transmission of all data transmission channels.
