Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a swing gate, in particular for garages, according to the preamble of claim 1.
This type of up-and-over door is primarily characterized by the fact that the bottom edge of the door leaf hardly swings out of the plane defined by the closed state of the door leaf when opening, which is a requirement in some countries. The problem that arises here is that normal door leaves are not sufficiently rigid so that problems can occur when the door leaf is actuated.
For stiffening such door leaves, a generic swing door has therefore become known according to the preamble of claim 1 (DE-GM 72 38 251), in which the guide rollers are attached to the ends of a common axis which extends over the entire width of the door leaf. As a result, the door leaf has better torsional rigidity. These known door leaves have proven themselves when the door leaf is touched and actuated approximately in the middle of its width when the door leaf is opened or closed. However, as soon as a user attacks this generic door leaf off-center, it immediately jams and consequently locks because the parallel running of the guide rollers on the guide surfaces is no longer ensured.
The invention has for its object to provide a generic swing gate especially for garages according to the preamble of claim 1 in a simple manner so that a reliable function when opening and closing the door leaf is ensured without it jamming and consequently locking.
This object is achieved according to the invention in a generic up-and-over door according to the preamble of the main claim by its characterizing features.
The two ropes, which engage in the area of each guide roller, preferably on the axes thereof and are guided in four sections around the clear opening cross-section of the door leaf according to the teaching according to the invention, ensure that the lower edge of the door leaf or the connecting line between the two application points each End of the rope on different sides of the door leaf is always moved parallel to itself due to the forced guidance of the ropes when opening or closing. As a result of this, even off-center engagement and actuation of the door leaf to open or close, in contrast to the prior art, cannot result in tilting or locking. As a result of the simple design using a rope and several rollers, even swing gates which have already been installed can be quickly and easily retrofitted with the invention. In any case, according to the invention it is achieved in a simple manner with generic gates that these can always be operated without special attention without problems and problems and thus with sufficient reliability without jamming or locking when opening or closing occurs.
Expedient refinements and developments of the invention are characterized in the subclaims.
