Abstract

The reinforcing rod holder includes a hollow body (1) having a depression in which the downwardly bent reinforcing rods (2) are inserted in such a manner that their U-shaped anchoring portions protrude. The free end (3 and 4) of the reinforcing rods are disposed entirely in the hollow body, together with the bend portion. To permit insertion of the anchoring portions, the hollow body is provided with apertures (5), and holes (6) having a diameter which is approximately identical to the diameter of the reinforcing rods are provided at the two ends of such apertures (5), while the central portion of the apertures is sealed by two overlapping flaps (7). The hollow body is further provided with mounting or support ribs (8) at the apertures (5) and two spacer ribs (9 and 10) between the last three apertures (5) in order to serve as support faces for the ends of the reinforcing rods. The hollow body, containing the reinforcing rods, is filled with expanded plastic material. A reinforcing rod holder of this type is used in connection-type concreting operations and is advantageous in that, on the one hand, the portions of the reinforcing rods not embedded in concrete are packed in expanded plastics material and therefore cannot rust and, on the other hand, the expanded plastics material can be completely and conveniently removed by extracting the hollow body when the connection-type concreting operation is being carried out. In addition, the hollow body actually serves as a mould, thereby ensuring that the reinforcing rod holder is produced rationally and cheaply.

Description

The present invention relates to a reinforcing iron holder for use in connection concreting, with a hollow body in which the free bent ends of the reinforcing irons having a U-shaped bracket and converging with respect to the center line of the hollow body are arranged, and to a method for producing such a reinforcing iron holder. Such a reinforcing iron holder is known from CH-pS 627 811. This reinforcement iron holder has the advantage that the reinforcement irons located therein are almost completely protected and that the holders can be easily transported. The part of the holder on the wall has equidistant transverse grooves with markings for holes to be drilled later. The U-shaped, bent leg ends of the reinforcing bars are hooked into these holes, after which a cover part is attached. The hooking in of the reinforcement bars is relatively labor intensive and cannot be automated or can only be automated with difficulty. In addition, precautions must be taken to hold the reinforcing bars in a specific position. In addition, the lid part is one more element that has to be sprayed and it is difficult to seal it completely.

In addition, a reinforcing iron is known from CH-pS 562 376 by the same applicant, which essentially consists of a prismatic foam body in which the reinforcing irons are foamed. It has been found that in the case of a holder which consists only of foam, with the varied and increasingly widespread use of this first reinforcing iron holder, it is desirable on the one hand to improve the complete removal of the foam body and its stability and on the other hand to improve the production of the reinforcing iron holder and it is therefore the object of the present invention is to provide a reinforcing iron holder which can be produced more efficiently and in which all parts of the holder can be removed easily and completely. This object is achieved with a reinforcing iron holder described in the claims.

The invention will now be explained in more detail with reference to a drawing of an embodiment.
  • 1 shows a plan view of the reinforcing iron holder according to the invention,
  • 2 shows, in an enlarged detail, a longitudinal section according to 11-11 in FIG. 1,
  • Fig. 3 shows, in enlarged detail, a longitudinal section according to 111-111 in Fig. 1 and
  • FIG. 4 shows a section according to IV-IV of FIG. 1 on an enlarged scale.

Ausserdem halten diese Lappen an ihren Ecken die Armierungseisen fest.1 shows the hollow body 1 made of plastic and the reinforcing bars 2, which in the present case consist of a U-shaped bracket, which are bent and the free ends 3 and 4 of which converge. The hollow body 1 has openings 5 through which, from behind, the bracket part of the reinforcing iron is inserted. These openings 5 have holes 6 at their two ends for receiving the legs of the reinforcing bars, which are somewhat narrower than the legs, while the middle part of these openings is formed from two overlapping tabs 7, which the opening after pushing in the reinforcing bars quite well again close. In addition, these tabs hold the reinforcing bars at their corners.

On the hollow body, one can also see on both sides of the openings 5 support ribs 8, on which the bottom layer of the bent legs of the reinforcing bars lie. In the present case, see FIG. 1, these are the first three reinforcing bars E1, EZ, E3 seen from the left. The remaining five reinforcing irons are inserted in opposite directions, i.e., in Fig. 1 the free ends point to the left. The bent legs of the bars E4, E5, E6, numbered from the left, rest on the bent legs of the bars E1, E2 and E3, see also Fig. 2. To prevent the reinforcing bars E7 and E8 from tipping, there are between the three last openings two spacer ribs 9 and 10 attached, on which the bent legs of the reinforcing bars E7 and E8 are supported.

As can be seen in particular from FIGS. 2 and 3, the bent ends together with the bend are located in the hollow body, which ensures when using the connecting irons that they can be bent back in a completely straight line.

In contrast to the embodiment according to CH-pS 627 811 and other similar embodiments, no lid part is attached to the hollow body, which is sometimes quite complex to manufacture and in which there is a risk that concrete or concrete milk penetrates, which can cause the reinforcing iron to rust, but the hollow body is filled with a foam 11, Fig. 4. It can be seen that with this simple solution, the hollow body 1 can be used as an injection, casting or pouring mold, as a result of which the fabrication in relation to the method according to CH-PS 562 376 can be considerably simplified since a special shape is created there and must be used. Expediently, only so much foam is applied over the legs of the reinforcement bars that they are well covered but still shimmer through to make it easier to remove the holder.

The straight parts can be inserted through the openings 5 in a simple manner and is suitable for semi or fully automatic work, while the tabs 7 ensure that the irons remain in place. The subsequent spraying with foam is a fairly simple process and can be carried out efficiently. Embedding the ends of the reinforcing bars ensures that they do not rust. Polyurethane, for example, is suitable as foam. It is also possible to use polystyrene or another suitable plastic that can be sprayed, poured or poured.

In the concreted state comes on. Occasionally, a wall of temporary plaster, which can adhere well to the foam. In contrast, it is expedient to ensure that the concrete cannot adhere well to the other parts of the holder, this being possible either by choosing the plastic or by spraying an appropriate agent onto the outer surface.

In order to fulfill their purpose, the bent ends of the reinforcement bars are exposed and straightened, whereby a large part of the foam is already removed. Then the hollow body, which does not adhere well to the concrete, is torn out using a suitable tool, the last remnants of the foam also being carried along and the reinforcing iron and the wall surface being completely exposed at the point where the hollow body was in contact. In order to facilitate this tearing out of the hollow body, its side edges 12 are slightly beveled outwards towards the open side. It is also easy to see that both the support ribs 8 and the two spacer ribs 9 and 10 leave an impression in the concrete wall, which serves as an additional toothing means.

Instead of using an isosceles reinforcement bar as described in this example, it is also conceivable to use reinforcement irons with only one leg and one bracket part. It is also possible to provide a hollow body made of a thin metal foil instead of a hollow body made of plastic.
