Definitions
- the invention relates to a finger toothbrush according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Such a finger toothbrush is known from GB-A 398.919.
- the holding part designed as a finger cap consists of comparatively thin, film-like material, while the brush-like cleaning part has a thick-walled and accordingly unyielding foot section for the bristle-shaped cleaning elements.
- This known finger toothbrush therefore only allows a rough, summary attack of the cleaning elements on the teeth.
- the fibers of the brush-like cleaning part can hardly penetrate into the comparatively deep and narrow interdental spaces and into the joint areas between interdental spaces and into the pockets between the tooth and the paradontium.
- finger toothbrushes with a flexible finger cap and attached or molded, brush-like cleaning parts are known (GB-PS 630,297, DE-PS 25 56 552), the bristle-shaped cleaning elements on special support elements and by this, so not directly with the finger cap are bound.
- the foot sections of the cleaning elements are arranged at a comparatively large distance from the inner surface of the finger cap on the finger side and therefore do not permit a non-positive touch connection between the finger surface and the cleaning element.
- the present task of the invention is to create a finger toothbrush which, with simple handling, enables an immediate tactile engagement between the cleaning element and the finger surface depending on a change in shape or position of the cleaning element.
- the solution to this problem according to the invention is characterized in a finger toothbrush of the type mentioned at the outset by the features of claim 1.
- the finger toothbrush according to the invention thus leads to a satisfactory cleaning effect, not only on the large areas of the teeth, but also because of the pivotability of the cleaning elements and their ability to bend under the controlling pressure by the finger of the user, to a large extent penetration into the interdental spaces with a corresponding cleaning effect here too.
- the foot sections of a plurality of cleaning elements or a group of adjacent cleaning elements individually or in groups, but independently of the foot sections of adjacent cleaning elements or groups of cleaning elements move in the normal direction to the inside surface of the holding part, which is preferably designed as a finger cap, in the wall thereof arranged.
- Such flexibility of the cleaning elements can be advantageous can be achieved in a simpler and more economical manner by providing foot sections which are delimited for a plurality of cleaning elements by regions of reduced wall thickness of the holding part.
- the foot sections are preferably completely or approximately delimited on all sides by cap areas of reduced wall thickness from the adjacent areas of the cap wall.
- An essential development of the invention is characterized by at least one group, e.g. a bundle of bristle-like cleaning elements which passes through a holding part wall with a foot section and forms a projecting probe on the inside of the wall.
- the holding part wall preferably being designed as a flexible or flexible, elastic thick film which easily allows a sufficient relative movement of adjacent bristle bundles in the normal direction to the palpating finger surface.
- the bristle bundles are expediently anchored by inserting them into preformed, for example simply pre-punched holes in the holding part wall, which receive the root sections of the bundle with sufficient radial prestress.
- the anchor can also by gluing or welding of the foot portion with the wall and / or by the formation of radially projecting, inner head portions of the foot sections - for example by plastic swaging or welding or embedding of the head portions in a suitable V erank ceremoniessmasse, optionally also by means of sleeve or Ring elements that protrude radially over the circumference of the bristle bundle are reinforced.
- the cleaning element individually foot portions on the inner surface or in groups be provided with elevations, which have a curved or arched apex surface. This results in a clear and easily evaluable image of the tooth surface even for users with less tactile sensitivity, for example as a result of increased hornification of the finger skin.
- the passage of the cleaning element foot sections through the cap wall and the corresponding design of the anchoring areas can be achieved in a particularly simple and inexpensive manner in the case of a film-like holding part consisting of an elastomer.
- the foot sections can advantageously be provided with nub-like, grid-like thickenings arranged within the holding part wall, which at the same time also enable secure anchoring or molding of the cleaning elements.
- designs of holding parts with a base body consisting of fabric or random fiber fleece can also be considered.
- Bristle-like cleaning elements can be fastened therein by looping, binding or piercing.
- types of fastening such as riveting or gluing are possible, as well as welding or welding, provided that suitable thermoplastic wall material is used.
- Bristle-like cleaning elements which can preferably be conical or pyramid-shaped and with concave outer surfaces, can be regarded as optimal for a broad spectrum of action.
- a further development of the invention is directed towards the cleaning of interdental spaces with a larger gap width, which frequently occur with advancing age and with certain tooth damage and with tooth loss with more or less strong tooth displacement.
- the invention provides a blade-like, longitudinally of the finger cap outer surface réellerekkendes cleaning member before which is preferably parallel or at an: the finger is positioned with respect to the longitudinal axis angle.
- the knife-like cleaning element connected to the holding part and supported over its entire length by this connection Insert easily and safely even in narrow and irregularly extending interdental spaces and, especially with saw-like cleaning action, repeatedly pass through in alternating directions across the row of teeth.
- the free longitudinal edge of the cleaning element can, if appropriate, advantageously be serrated or corrugated.
- the embodiment according to FIG. 1 comprises a finger cap K with a film-like wall W as a holding part, which encloses the user's finger and provides upright, bristle- or wire-shaped, flexurally rigid - that is to say returning to its original shape after bending deformation - cleaning elements RB on its palm-side outer surface is.
- the latter are embedded in nub-like thickenings of the wall W, which foot sections F form the cleaning elements and convey the tactile contact to the fingertip.
- FIG. 2 shows a special embodiment of the anchoring of the cleaning elements, which here are designed as U or bracket elements RU and are embedded with their apex sections S T in the knob-like foot sections F and are additionally anchored here by means of loop-like connecting elements VE.
- the leg sections SL of the cleaning elements RU protrude to the outside normal to the cap wall W, while each foot section F forms an elevation EH with a convexly curved apex surface on the inside surface IK of the finger.
- the foot sections F are delimited from one another by wall sections WM of reduced thickness, so that they can pivot to a certain extent independently of one another and can move in the normal direction to the inner surface of the cap IK. This results in a relief-like image of the tooth surface to be cleaned, which is transmitted to the finger surface by the easily palpable elevations EH of the foot sections.
- FIG. 2 also shows the possibility of combining a plurality of strap-like or loop-like cleaning elements into a tuft-shaped group GU and of providing them with a common foot section F u.
- the entire bundle gains greater kink resistance and can therefore transmit greater contact and scanning forces in the normal direction to the inner surface of the cap IK.
- groups G of individual, wire-shaped and rigid cleaning elements RB are embedded in associated foot sections F without special anchoring elements.
- the foot sections F are again delimited from one another on all sides by wall sections WM of reduced thickness, so that the inner elevations EH can transmit a relief-like image of the tooth surface to the touch-sensitive finger surface.
- FIG. 5 shows an embodiment which is particularly advantageous in terms of manufacture, namely with integral molding of bristle-like cleaning elements RB onto a finger cap K made of a corresponding material, with the formation of foot sections F associated with the individual cleaning elements, with internal elevations EH for touch control.
- the cleaning elements RB are welded or welded onto the cap wall W, forming from the inside arched foot sections F into consideration (Fig. 6).
- a rivet connection can also be provided for non-weldable or gluable cap materials (FIG. 7), which easily enables the formation of arched foot sections F.
- Such fastenings can be easily produced automatically with modern machine tools.
- FIGS. 8 and 9 designs with cleaning elements RB that are particularly strongly separated from one another and therefore still largely independent of one another within a cap wall W are shown.
- a wall section WB designed as a flexible membrane is arranged, the reduced bending stiffness of which enables the position and angular position of the individual cleaning elements to be adapted particularly well to the tooth surface, but on the other hand is still sufficiently large to ensure a return of the To ensure cleaning elements in their upright starting position when the pressure is relieved.
- a width BM of the latter is indicated, which is larger than the width BF of the adjacent foot sections.
- annular wall sections WM of reduced thickness which surround the foot sections F or the thickened wall sections WT and in turn are most easily produced by channel-shaped depressions EI or EA on the inside or outside cap surface IK or AK.
- FIG. 10 illustrates the anchoring of bow-shaped cleaning elements RU in a cap wall W made of fabric. This attachment is expediently carried out by means of a piercing and subsequent setting with an annular connecting element VE. Furthermore, it goes without saying that the cleaning elements can also be attached by welding or gluing or also by riveting for fabrics and nonwovens made of a suitable material.
- Fig.ll shows a finger cap K with a knife-like, extending in the longitudinal direction of the cleaning element RS, which is provided on its free longitudinal edge with a saw-like toothing Z.
- cleaning elements can be particularly thin due to their perfect mounting on the cap, but they can be designed to be rigid for difficult applications, if necessary with thin stiffening inserts made of sheet metal, and enable intensive cleaning of continuous interdental spaces.
- dot-pattern-like distribution patterns of bristle-like cleaning elements RB on the outer surface of a finger cap K are indicated, specifically in region I in a line-grid distribution parallel to the finger axis, in region II, however, at an acute angle to this axis.
- knife-like or strip-shaped cleaning elements RS which in any case are elongated in the direction parallel to the outer surface of the cap, a - generally acute-angled - inclination with respect to the longitudinal axis of the finger according to FIG. 14 is generally expedient in order to facilitate handling.
- a distribution that is non-uniform with regard to the length of the cleaning elements over the circumference of the finger cap may be advantageous, in particular a bristle arrangement that is concentrated diametrically opposite one another according to FIG. 15.
- a simple change in position of the cap with respect to the finger can be achieved with a finger cap according to FIG. 16, which is intended to be small in its surface area in connection with an elastic retaining band HB, so that the uniform distribution of the cleaning elements over the small cap area is advantageous is.
- the cleaning elements are also expediently arranged differently in the longitudinal direction of the finger or on the inside and outside of the finger, as indicated in FIG. 17.
- the fingertip is in any case also equipped with cleaning elements, as can be seen from FIGS. 16 and 17. Only for less demanding designs can the tipping be omitted in whole or in part, as indicated in Fig. 18. There, it is also recommended to attach the finger cap to the finger using an HK pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, which can be useful and sufficient for minor repetitions of use or single use.
- FIG. 19 shows a finger toothbrush in which bristle-like cleaning elements RB are arranged on the outer surface of a tab-shaped or tongue-shaped support section TRA of a holding part HT made of film-like material.
- This support section is connected to the rest of the holding part HT by a connection section VAT which is narrower than its largest surface area d, in the example with a finger part assigned to the fingertip, which is in turn connected by a comparatively narrow web section STA to a clamp section KLA encompassing the fingers .
- the connecting section VAT corresponds approximately in width to the narrow side of the carrying section TRA.
- the wall 20 shows a cleaning element group or a bundle of bristles GU in the form of loops or stirrups, the foot section F of which passes through a pre-punched recess AN in a holding part wall W.
- This recess is undersized with respect to the bundle outer diameter, so that the wall forms a holding section SPA, which is under strong radial tension, for axially locking the bristle bundle.
- the wall is provided with a separate tension layer Wa - possibly with a correspondingly greater stiffness - on the inner surface IK in order to achieve particularly secure anchoring.
- the bristle bundle GU forms a protruding touch section TA, which results in the desired touch contact with the fingertip and is designed as an axial locking element projecting radially over the bundle circumference.
- Fig. 21 shows a similar design, but for a non-bow-shaped bristle bundle G that runs out freely on the inside, which likewise forms a probe section TA projecting on the inside.
- the latter is here provided with a radially protruding head made of, for example, a thermoplastic enveloping material HM, which, in addition to an improved tactile function, also enables reinforced anchoring and axial locking.
- the envelope mass expediently penetrates the bristle bundle, as indicated, in order to obtain a larger joint reach area.
- an impregnation or adhesive IM penetrating even deeper into the bristle bundle is provided, which gives the bundle greater hold and can also be used for adhesive bonding to the wall surface of the recess AN.
- the anchoring on the head side can be reinforced with the aid of an inner coating BS (indicated by dashed lines) and a more skin-friendly nature of the inner surface IK can be achieved.
- the comparatively complex deformation or embedding, impregnation or gluing of the bristle bundle is dispensed with and instead an increased anchoring is achieved by means of a sleeve VAH or a ring VAR.
- These anchoring auxiliary elements protrude radially over the bundle circumference and therefore bring about a secure axial locking.
- the sleeve VAH has radially flanged sections EAR at both ends, which can also be produced by riveting into the recess AN.
- the e.g. Pressed-on ring VAR offers advantages in terms of simpler manufacture of the anchor.
- the ring holding part HRL for a finger toothbrush indicated in FIG. 23 is provided with a detachable Velcro fastener VSL.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a finger toothbrush according to the preamble of claim 1.
Such a finger toothbrush is known from GB-A 398.919. There, the holding part designed as a finger cap consists of comparatively thin, film-like material, while the brush-like cleaning part has a thick-walled and accordingly unyielding foot section for the bristle-shaped cleaning elements. This known finger toothbrush therefore only allows a rough, summary attack of the cleaning elements on the teeth.
In any case, the fibers of the brush-like cleaning part can hardly penetrate into the comparatively deep and narrow interdental spaces and into the joint areas between interdental spaces and into the pockets between the tooth and the paradontium.
Furthermore, finger toothbrushes with a flexible finger cap and attached or molded, brush-like cleaning parts are known (GB-PS 630,297, DE-PS 25 56 552), the bristle-shaped cleaning elements on special support elements and by this, so not directly with the finger cap are bound. In these known designs, the foot sections of the cleaning elements are arranged at a comparatively large distance from the inner surface of the finger cap on the finger side and therefore do not permit a non-positive touch connection between the finger surface and the cleaning element. These known devices therefore essentially only allow cleaning in the manner of conventional toothbrushes with a hand-operated actuating element (toothbrush handle or the like), without it being possible to control and control the cleaning action with penetration of the bristles into the interdental spaces of the dentition by the sense of touch.
In contrast, the present task of the invention is to create a finger toothbrush which, with simple handling, enables an immediate tactile engagement between the cleaning element and the finger surface depending on a change in shape or position of the cleaning element. The solution to this problem according to the invention is characterized in a finger toothbrush of the type mentioned at the outset by the features of claim 1.
As a result of the arrangement of the cleaning element foot sections in the tactile region of the finger surface, it is easily possible for the user to adjust the position of the cleaning element tips to the jagged surface shape of the teeth and to penetrate them to control and control the cleaning elements in the interdental spaces using the sense of touch. This is particularly important in the lingual and palatal premolar and molar areas, where experience has shown that periodontal lesions are particularly severe. The finger toothbrush according to the invention thus leads to a satisfactory cleaning effect, not only on the large areas of the teeth, but also because of the pivotability of the cleaning elements and their ability to bend under the controlling pressure by the finger of the user, to a large extent penetration into the interdental spaces with a corresponding cleaning effect here too.
In an advantageous further development of the invention, the foot sections of a plurality of cleaning elements or a group of adjacent cleaning elements individually or in groups, but independently of the foot sections of adjacent cleaning elements or groups of cleaning elements, move in the normal direction to the inside surface of the holding part, which is preferably designed as a finger cap, in the wall thereof arranged. This results in a relief-like image of the tooth surface, which can be easily grasped by the sense of touch, and a particularly precise adaptation of the cleaning elements for the cleaning effect. Such flexibility of the cleaning elements can be advantageous can be achieved in a simpler and more economical manner by providing foot sections which are delimited for a plurality of cleaning elements by regions of reduced wall thickness of the holding part. For this purpose, the foot sections are preferably completely or approximately delimited on all sides by cap areas of reduced wall thickness from the adjacent areas of the cap wall.
An essential development of the invention is characterized by at least one group, e.g. a bundle of bristle-like cleaning elements which passes through a holding part wall with a foot section and forms a projecting probe on the inside of the wall. This allows a particularly simple and inexpensive production, the holding part wall preferably being designed as a flexible or flexible, elastic thick film which easily allows a sufficient relative movement of adjacent bristle bundles in the normal direction to the palpating finger surface.
The bristle bundles are expediently anchored by inserting them into preformed, for example simply pre-punched holes in the holding part wall, which receive the root sections of the bundle with sufficient radial prestress. The anchor can also by gluing or welding of the foot portion with the wall and / or by the formation of radially projecting, inner head portions of the foot sections - for example by plastic swaging or welding or embedding of the head portions in a suitable V erankerungsmasse, optionally also by means of sleeve or Ring elements that protrude radially over the circumference of the bristle bundle are reinforced.
For effective tactile control and Taststeuerun g of the cleaning effect, it is recommended in development of the invention, the cleaning element individually foot portions on the inner surface or in groups be provided with elevations, which have a curved or arched apex surface. This results in a clear and easily evaluable image of the tooth surface even for users with less tactile sensitivity, for example as a result of increased hornification of the finger skin.
The passage of the cleaning element foot sections through the cap wall and the corresponding design of the anchoring areas can be achieved in a particularly simple and inexpensive manner in the case of a film-like holding part consisting of an elastomer. The foot sections can advantageously be provided with nub-like, grid-like thickenings arranged within the holding part wall, which at the same time also enable secure anchoring or molding of the cleaning elements. Basically, however, designs of holding parts with a base body consisting of fabric or random fiber fleece can also be considered. Bristle-like cleaning elements can be fastened therein by looping, binding or piercing. In addition, in the case of film-like holding parts made of woven or non-woven material, types of fastening such as riveting or gluing are possible, as well as welding or welding, provided that suitable thermoplastic wall material is used.
Bristle-like cleaning elements, which can preferably be conical or pyramid-shaped and with concave outer surfaces, can be regarded as optimal for a broad spectrum of action. In contrast, a further development of the invention is directed towards the cleaning of interdental spaces with a larger gap width, which frequently occur with advancing age and with certain tooth damage and with tooth loss with more or less strong tooth displacement. For this purpose, the invention provides a blade-like, longitudinally of the finger cap outer surface erstrekkendes cleaning member before which is preferably parallel or at an: the finger is positioned with respect to the longitudinal axis angle. In contrast to the usual, manual, sheet-shaped cleaning probes and the like, which are easily subject to buckling when inserted laterally into an interdental space, the knife-like cleaning element connected to the holding part and supported over its entire length by this connection Insert easily and safely even in narrow and irregularly extending interdental spaces and, especially with saw-like cleaning action, repeatedly pass through in alternating directions across the row of teeth. For this purpose, the free longitudinal edge of the cleaning element can, if appropriate, advantageously be serrated or corrugated. Also, optionally lateral or with additional cleaning effect for the interdental spaces, formed e-about bosten- or rib-like cleaning elements to the blade-like cleaning element of g or are recognized.

The embodiment according to FIG. 1 comprises a finger cap K with a film-like wall W as a holding part, which encloses the user's finger and provides upright, bristle- or wire-shaped, flexurally rigid - that is to say returning to its original shape after bending deformation - cleaning elements RB on its palm-side outer surface is. The latter are embedded in nub-like thickenings of the wall W, which foot sections F form the cleaning elements and convey the tactile contact to the fingertip.
Dies ergibt eine reliefartige Abbildung der zu reinigenden Zahnoberfläche, die durch die leicht tastbaren Erhebungen EH der Fussabschnitte auf die Fingeroberfläche übertragen wird.2 shows a special embodiment of the anchoring of the cleaning elements, which here are designed as U or bracket elements RU and are embedded with their apex sections S T in the knob-like foot sections F and are additionally anchored here by means of loop-like connecting elements VE. The leg sections SL of the cleaning elements RU protrude to the outside normal to the cap wall W, while each foot section F forms an elevation EH with a convexly curved apex surface on the inside surface IK of the finger. The foot sections F are delimited from one another by wall sections WM of reduced thickness, so that they can pivot to a certain extent independently of one another and can move in the normal direction to the inner surface of the cap IK. This results in a relief-like image of the tooth surface to be cleaned, which is transmitted to the finger surface by the easily palpable elevations EH of the foot sections.
Das Gesamtbündel gewinnt grössere Knickfestigkeit und kann somit in Normalrichtung zur Kappeninnenfläche IK grössere Anpress- und Abtastkräfte übertragen.FIG. 2 also shows the possibility of combining a plurality of strap-like or loop-like cleaning elements into a tuft-shaped group GU and of providing them with a common foot section F u. The entire bundle gains greater kink resistance and can therefore transmit greater contact and scanning forces in the normal direction to the inner surface of the cap IK.
Such a design comes especially for caps made of thermopla = plastic into consideration, which can be processed in a pressing or casting process. Here too, the foot sections F are again delimited from one another on all sides by wall sections WM of reduced thickness, so that the inner elevations EH can transmit a relief-like image of the tooth surface to the touch-sensitive finger surface.
Fig.5 zeigt eine besonders herstellungsgünstige Ausführung, nämlich mit einstückiger Anformung von borstenartigen Reinigungselementen RB an eine aus entsprechendem Material bestehende Fingerkappe K unter Bildung von den einzelnen Reinigungselementen zugeordneten Fussabschnitten F mit inneren Erhebungen EH für die Taststeuerung.5 shows an embodiment which is particularly advantageous in terms of manufacture, namely with integral molding of bristle-like cleaning elements RB onto a finger cap K made of a corresponding material, with the formation of foot sections F associated with the individual cleaning elements, with internal elevations EH for touch control.
For other types of cap materials, which are desirable as a disposable part due to hygienic requirements or with regard to the design of the finger toothbrush and may not permit injection or die-casting processing, for example, the cleaning elements RB are welded or welded onto the cap wall W, forming from the inside arched foot sections F into consideration (Fig. 6). A rivet connection can also be provided for non-weldable or gluable cap materials (FIG. 7), which easily enables the formation of arched foot sections F. Such fastenings can be easily produced automatically with modern machine tools. In FIGS. 8 and 9, designs with cleaning elements RB that are particularly strongly separated from one another and therefore still largely independent of one another within a cap wall W are shown. Here, between the foot sections F of adjacent cleaning elements, a wall section WB designed as a flexible membrane is arranged, the reduced bending stiffness of which enables the position and angular position of the individual cleaning elements to be adapted particularly well to the tooth surface, but on the other hand is still sufficiently large to ensure a return of the To ensure cleaning elements in their upright starting position when the pressure is relieved. For this purpose, given a suitably selected wall thickness of the membrane sections WB, a width BM of the latter is indicated, which is larger than the width BF of the adjacent foot sections. A corresponding swiveling adjustability of the cleaning elements, but combined with improved resetting properties when relieved, results in the variant according to FIG. 9, where thickened wall sections WT are again enclosed within the membrane sections WB. The latter do not affect the swivel setting due to their double-joint effect if sufficient pressure compliance of the finger surface is assumed, but quickly return the starting position of the adjacent cleaning elements due to the stronger normal force transmission from the finger surface to the foot sections largely independently of the elastic properties of the wall material in the area of the thin wall areas forth.
This shape is easily achieved by annular wall sections WM of reduced thickness, which surround the foot sections F or the thickened wall sections WT and in turn are most easily produced by channel-shaped depressions EI or EA on the inside or outside cap surface IK or AK.
This attachment is expediently carried out by means of a piercing and subsequent setting with an annular connecting element VE. Furthermore, it goes without saying that the cleaning elements can also be attached by welding or gluing or also by riveting for fabrics and nonwovens made of a suitable material.
Fig.ll shows a finger cap K with a knife-like, extending in the longitudinal direction of the cleaning element RS, which is provided on its free longitudinal edge with a saw-like toothing Z. Such cleaning elements can be particularly thin due to their perfect mounting on the cap, but they can be designed to be rigid for difficult applications, if necessary with thin stiffening inserts made of sheet metal, and enable intensive cleaning of continuous interdental spaces.
In FIG. 12, dot-pattern-like distribution patterns of bristle-like cleaning elements RB on the outer surface of a finger cap K are indicated, specifically in region I in a line-grid distribution parallel to the finger axis, in region II, however, at an acute angle to this axis. By anatomically optimized dimensioning of this inclination angle, handling can be made considerably easier, taking into account both a comfortable arm position of the user and the predominant directions of the cleaning movements to be carried out.
For cleaning elements arranged in groups according to FIG. 13, due to the greater extension of the foot sections within the plane of the cap wall, a more pronounced line grid arrangement is less suitable, but the indicated dot grid arrangement with staggered displacement of the cleaning element groups G with respect to the longitudinal direction of the finger is advantageous.
Also for knife-like or strip-shaped cleaning elements RS, which in any case are elongated in the direction parallel to the outer surface of the cap, a - generally acute-angled - inclination with respect to the longitudinal axis of the finger according to FIG. 14 is generally expedient in order to facilitate handling.
With regard to cleaning the upper and lower teeth with only one layer of the finger toothbrush on the same finger a distribution that is non-uniform with regard to the length of the cleaning elements over the circumference of the finger cap may be advantageous, in particular a bristle arrangement that is concentrated diametrically opposite one another according to FIG. 15. On the other hand, a simple change in position of the cap with respect to the finger can be achieved with a finger cap according to FIG. 16, which is intended to be small in its surface area in connection with an elastic retaining band HB, so that the uniform distribution of the cleaning elements over the small cap area is advantageous is.
With regard to the different tactile sensitivity at the different areas of the fingertip, the cleaning elements are also expediently arranged differently in the longitudinal direction of the finger or on the inside and outside of the finger, as indicated in FIG. 17. With regard to cleaning on the tooth side surfaces, the fingertip is in any case also equipped with cleaning elements, as can be seen from FIGS. 16 and 17. Only for less demanding designs can the tipping be omitted in whole or in part, as indicated in Fig. 18. There, it is also recommended to attach the finger cap to the finger using an HK pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, which can be useful and sufficient for minor repetitions of use or single use.
Im Beispiel entspricht der Verbindungsabschnitt VAT in seiner Breite etwa der Schmalseite des Tragabschnitts TRA.FIG. 19 shows a finger toothbrush in which bristle-like cleaning elements RB are arranged on the outer surface of a tab-shaped or tongue-shaped support section TRA of a holding part HT made of film-like material. This support section is connected to the rest of the holding part HT by a connection section VAT which is narrower than its largest surface area d, in the example with a finger part assigned to the fingertip, which is in turn connected by a comparatively narrow web section STA to a clamp section KLA encompassing the fingers . In the example, the connecting section VAT corresponds approximately in width to the narrow side of the carrying section TRA.
This results in a support section for the cleaning elements which is exposed on the major part of its surface contour and which is not impaired in its working position by the deformation of the remaining section of the holding part, in particular by a more or less pronounced formation of folds, when the supporting finger is bent. The narrow, web-like design of the connecting section, which extends along the supporting finger, largely prevents wrinkling when the supporting finger is bent, in contrast to a broader design, which also encompasses the fingers. The present embodiment also has the advantage of a comparatively low surface coverage of the finger, as is desired for reasons of pleasant and skin-friendly usability.
Im Beispiel ist die Wandung mit einer gesonderten Spannschicht Wa - gegebenenfalls entsprechend grösserer Steifheit - an der Innenfläche IK versehen, um eine besonders sichere Verankerung zu erreichen.20 shows a cleaning element group or a bundle of bristles GU in the form of loops or stirrups, the foot section F of which passes through a pre-punched recess AN in a holding part wall W. This recess is undersized with respect to the bundle outer diameter, so that the wall forms a holding section SPA, which is under strong radial tension, for axially locking the bristle bundle. In the example, the wall is provided with a separate tension layer Wa - possibly with a correspondingly greater stiffness - on the inner surface IK in order to achieve particularly secure anchoring.
At the inner end of the foot section F, the bristle bundle GU forms a protruding touch section TA, which results in the desired touch contact with the fingertip and is designed as an axial locking element projecting radially over the bundle circumference. By hot upsetting the thermoplastic bristle material in the direction of the arrow PF with the aid of tools known per se, the probe section can be plastically deformed from its original shape TAa into a radially projecting and thus more effective locking action TAs ...
Fig. 21 shows a similar design, but for a non-bow-shaped bristle bundle G that runs out freely on the inside, which likewise forms a probe section TA projecting on the inside. However, the latter is here provided with a radially protruding head made of, for example, a thermoplastic enveloping material HM, which, in addition to an improved tactile function, also enables reinforced anchoring and axial locking. The envelope mass expediently penetrates the bristle bundle, as indicated, in order to obtain a larger joint reach area. If necessary, an impregnation or adhesive IM penetrating even deeper into the bristle bundle is provided, which gives the bundle greater hold and can also be used for adhesive bonding to the wall surface of the recess AN. Furthermore, the anchoring on the head side can be reinforced with the aid of an inner coating BS (indicated by dashed lines) and a more skin-friendly nature of the inner surface IK can be achieved.
In the embodiments according to FIGS. 22a and 22b, the comparatively complex deformation or embedding, impregnation or gluing of the bristle bundle is dispensed with and instead an increased anchoring is achieved by means of a sleeve VAH or a ring VAR. These anchoring auxiliary elements protrude radially over the bundle circumference and therefore bring about a secure axial locking. For this purpose, the sleeve VAH has radially flanged sections EAR at both ends, which can also be produced by riveting into the recess AN. The e.g. Pressed-on ring VAR, on the other hand, offers advantages in terms of simpler manufacture of the anchor.
The ring holding part HRL for a finger toothbrush indicated in FIG. 23 is provided with a detachable Velcro fastener VSL. Such an embodiment offers the advantage of convenient use with regard to putting on and taking off the finger toothbrush, and also that of easy adaptability to different finger thicknesses.
