Abstract

1. A floor-stand (1) of cardboard or similar material, which is made to be able to hinge or fold from a position of use into a position of non-use and vice versa, and exhibits a receptable (3) for goods on ofter, which is arranged upon an essentially polyhedral foot portion (2) which exhibits preferably two sidewalls (6, 7), one front wall (4) and one rear wall (5), and the sidewalls (6, 7) of which are provided each with one longitudinal fold (26, 27) and the front wall (4) and rear wall (5) of which are connected by a cover area (40) which is hinged onto the top edge of each of them by means of a hinge fold (41, 42) and which is subdivided by a flexing fold (43) parallel with the hinge folds (41, 42) into one first part-area (44) and one second part-area (45) and is fastened by the first part-area (44) onto one portion of the underside of the receptacle (3), characterized in that the receptacle (3) is made essentially in the shape of a wedge or pyramid and by two oblique areas (28, 29) which lie opposite one another and run at an angle up to an apex (30) or narrow side and which form at least one part of the underside of the receptacle (3), is associated with the front wall (4) and rear wall (5) of the foot portion (2), where the apex (30) of the receptacle (3) in the position of use is arranged below a plane defined by the hinge folds (41, 42), and that the second part-area (45) for shortening its length for the purpose of passing through the space available between the receptacle (3) and the front or rear wall (4, 5) respectively of the foot portion (2) during hingeing of the receptacle (3) in or out towards the inside or outside of the foot portion (2), is made as a flat-link articulated chain of at least three flat links (47, 48, 49) separated by altogether two flexing folds (50, 51).
