Description

The invention relates to a matrix line printer with an oscillating frame that can be moved back and forth in parallel to the support surface for the recording medium in front of the printing abutment, on which the printing elements are arranged in a row next to one another and which is kept oscillatable at both ends by means of leaf springs, one of which Swinging motion transmitting link is articulated at least on the swing frame and in the two end regions of the swing frame in pairs in a common horizontal plane movable outer and inner leaf springs are provided so that the swing frame is movable in the horizontal plane of the pressure abutment.

Such leaf spring bearings for the swing frame serve a precisely parallel movement in relation to the pressure abutment, which usually consists of a pressure roller. As a result of the shortening that occurs when the leaf springs are deflected, the carriage generally does not move on a straight line transverse to the recording medium, but on a curve, as a result of which, in relation to the width of the recording medium, different distances between the printing elements and the recording medium or a deviation from the linear pressure geometry. Such differences have a practical effect on the typeface, with writing in the middle of the record carrier with a greater pressure than on the two outer areas. It is understood that the pressure force of the printing elements must be kept uniform over the entire width of the recording medium with a view to making several copies. On the other hand, any influences that produce an uneven print image must also be excluded.

The high-speed printer described at the outset is known from DE-B1-26 45 740. The pairs of leaf springs are comb-like and have three tongues, of which the first and third tongues are attached to the printer frame with their free ends lying in a vertical plane, while the middle second tongue with its free end is attached to one end of the slide plate (oscillating frame) ) attacks. The springs of each pair run at an acute angle to each other because they are directly connected to each other at their free ends. In addition, these ends of each pair move independently of one another. This does not eliminate the problem of arch movement. The known solution is therefore not suitable for avoiding the disadvantages of the arc movements.

The present invention is therefore based on the object of proposing a more suitable solution in order to eliminate the disadvantageous consequences of the arc movement of leaf springs.

The object is achieved in the matrix line printer referred to at the outset according to the invention in that each pair of leaf springs consists of two exactly parallel leaf springs, each of which has the outer leaf springs with their pressure-bearing ends on the printer frame and with their free ends via a corresponding spacer with the free ones Ends of the inner leaf springs are firmly connected, the pressure-abutment-side ends are in turn fastened to the end regions of the oscillating frame which can move back and forth between the printer frame bearing locations of the outer leaf springs, and the free ends of the inner leaf springs are rigidly connected to one another via a connecting web. This solution makes use of the parallelogram principle, so to speak, of which it can certainly be said that the oscillating frame as a member of the parallelogram does not perform any curved movement. The invention therefore actually makes it possible to avoid the disadvantages of an arcuate movement of the oscillating frame, since the connecting web provided according to the invention coordinates the deflection of both leaf spring pairs precisely and forcibly adjusts them to the same amount. The design according to the invention also leads to a simple manner of attachment and therefore creates the desired clear movement conditions. Such pairs of leaf springs are also easier to manufacture in terms of production technology than punched tongues.

The parallel movements of the swing frame relative to the pressure abutment are also more precise in that a drive rod that bypasses the leaf springs is attached to the swing frame in an articulated manner.

It can also be advantageous if the drive rod for a linear actuator is resiliently attached to the swing frame. The resilient attachment has no harmful influence on the vibration behavior of the swing frame, which is essentially due to the parallel movement of the leaf springs.

A kinematics that is completely balanced in terms of vibration technology is also achieved by providing a counterweight of the same mass that can be moved in opposite directions to the oscillating frame.

The only figure of the drawing shows a top view of a line matrix printer, essentially only the parts or assemblies necessary for understanding the invention are shown.

The platen 1 consists of the printing roller 1a, which serves as a support for the recording medium 2 (the recording medium usually consists of a paper web). The print characters are generated by print hammers or print needles, which are not shown themselves, but on the Swing frame 3 arranged side by side form a horizontal row. The movement path of the swing frame is 10 to 20 mm or at least one or two character widths of alphanumeric or other characters.

The printing roller 1 is rotatably supported in bearings on the printer frame 4. The swing frame 3 has the two end regions 3a and 3b. Leaf springs 5a and 5b or 6a and 6b are arranged in pairs in these end regions. Here, the leaf springs 5a and 6b are attached to a component 4a and 4c of the printer frame 4 with one end by means of screws 4b. The exactly parallel oscillating movement 7 of the oscillating frame 3 is advantageously not disturbed by the drive 8, because the oscillating movement 7 is transmitted via the joint 10 by means of the connecting member 9, which consists of the drive rod 9a. The drive rod 9a runs next to the leaf springs 6a and 6b and avoids touching them.

Depending on the design of the drive 8, which is shown as a linear actuator 11, there is the possibility of additional joints, such as. B. the joint 12 to provide. The joints 10 and 12 prevent the transmission of transverse forces which are not in the direction of (or parallel to) the oscillating movement 7. It is also expedient to avoid superimposed vibrations by means of a resiliently elastic fastening of the drive rod 9a to the oscillating frame 3.

The storage of the now free ends of the leaf springs 5a and 5b or 6a and 6b is designed as a "joint" 13a or 13b. In the example shown, the leaf springs 5a and 5b are connected to a spacer 14 and the leaf springs 6a and 6b to the spacer 15. The connecting means consists of the screws 16 shown symbolically. The greater thickness of the spacers 14 and 15 additionally prevents the oscillating frame 3 from moving in an arc because the leaf springs 5a, 5b and 6a, 6b can only move in parallel.

The described embodiment is already functional. The movement kinematics can still be improved even further. This is ensured by a connecting web 17, which reinforces the tendency that the leaf springs 5a and 5b or 6a and 6b are always moved in parallel.

Not visible in the drawing, there is a balancing weight of the same size below the swing frame 3, but this must be moved in the opposite direction to the swing frame 3.
