Description

The invention relates to a delivery device on sheet-fed rotary printing presses according to the preamble of patent claim 1.

In lay-out devices on sheet-fed rotary printing machines, the sheets are to be placed on a stack at a practically reduced speed. In practice, this means that the sheets must be slowed down on a short stretch and then placed on the stack.

Driven suction rollers are used to brake the sheet z. B. known from US-A No. 2969980. This document represents the prior art, which corresponds to the preamble of claim 1.

A disadvantage of this suction roller, however, is that it is built quite large and cannot be attached close enough to the paper stack.

The invention has for its object to provide a driven suction roller for a delivery device on a sheet-fed rotary printing press, with which it is possible to keep the distance between the suction roller edge and the stack edge as small as possible; in addition, the sheet to be braked should be stripped across its width during the braking process, d. H. Wrinkles are smoothed.

This object is achieved according to the invention by the subject matter of the characterizing parts of the claims.

The advantages that can be achieved with the invention are, in particular, that it is possible to strip out the sheet from the center of the sheet to the outside on both sides during the braking process, and that part of the suction roll can be made inactive in accordance with the sheet format width to be processed. In addition, the outside diameter of the suction roller can be kept as small as desired, and suction air does not have to be supplied from the inside.

  • Fig. 1 einen Vertikalschnitt durch die erfindungsgemässe Saugwalze,
  • Fig. 3 eine Ansicht der erfindungsgemässert Saugwalze.
An embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing and will be described in more detail below. Show it:
  • 1 is a vertical section through the suction roll according to the invention,
  • 2 is a top view of the suction air supply pieces,
  • Fig. 3 is a view of the suction roll according to the invention.

In a side frame of a sheet delivery device, not shown, a driven suction roller 1 is mounted in a known manner. As can also be known, it can be moved in and against the sheet transport direction in order to position the suction roll 1 as close as possible to the rear side of the stack, in accordance with the paper format. The suction roller 1 is designed as a solid body and is provided with a plurality of bores 2 which intersect the axis of rotation of the suction roller 1. You have e.g. B. a diameter of 4 mm. The bores 2 lie on a spiral line, starting from a roller half and rising to the left or right, around the suction roller 1. The bores 2 are each offset by 10 ° on the circumference and about 6 mm to the side. Below the suction roller 1, a plurality of suction air supply pieces 3, which are sealed off from one another, are arranged next to one another over the entire length of the suction roller 1 provided with bores 2. The individual suction air feed pieces 3 are adapted to the radius “r” of the suction roll 1 and sealed against the ambient air in such a way that no outside air can enter between the suction roll 1 and suction air feed pieces 3. Each suction air supply piece 3 is provided in the center with a longitudinal groove 4, which is connected to a connecting pipe 6. Each of the connecting pipes 6 is connected via a hose 7 to a shut-off valve 8 assigned to it. All shut-off valves 8 are connected to a suction air source, not shown, via hoses or pipes.

The suction air of each individual suction air supply piece 3 can be adjusted or switched off via the shut-off valves 8. Almost abutting the suction roller 1, a table 9 is provided in the opposite direction to the sheet transport direction. A surface 11 of the table 9 is arranged slightly below the highest point of the suction roll 1. The table 9 is provided on its surface 11 with outlet openings 12 for blowing air. The outlet openings 12 are designed such that they allow the air flow to emerge along the surface 11, as a result of which the paper sheet is drawn against the table 9 in accordance with the “hydrodynamic” paradox.

Figure imgb0001
Due to the spiral arrangement of the bores 2, only a few of them are acted upon by suction air at the same time in connection with the suction air supply pieces 3. By rotating the suction roller 1, the bores 2 are connected to the suction air source in time order. switched off by her, starting from the center of the suction roll 1 towards its right or left end. This effect in connection with the rotation of the suction roll 1 in the sheet running direction achieves a lateral stripping effect of the sheet to be braked.
